Went camping down in mammoth caves with the fam and the GF. What a great place. The photography was hard. The tour doesn't really wait for anyone and even though there is lighting its still tough. I was using my 35mm prime @ f1.8 @ 3200ISO. I just used a surface filter on the pictures later to try to get away from some of the grainyness. No bags whatsoever are allowed so you are limited to what you can fit in your pocket and you want to carry for 4 hours, no tripod. I wish they had a photography tour they'd probably fill it up, there were many others with SLR's doing what they could. Here are some pics. Yeah I'm still dumping money in. Just upped my stock contribution at work too.

I just picked up a Lowepro Flipside 300 a month ago. Love it so far. It has the opening on your back, which is nice because less likely for stuff to fall out and a lot harder for someone to steal stuff out of your bag. Supposedly if you have the waist clip on you can just hang it in front of you and get in to get your stuff without having to 'take it off' but I am not that coordinated. I have the exact same TV. Doing the exact same thing. I changed the bulb and no difference. Here are a few things I learned from searching the web: There was also a problem with this TV where the switch that triggers when you close the access to the bulb (make sure its getting triggered properly), or do what I did and just cut, splice, and twist the wires together so you don't have to worry about the switch being the problem. I still have the same issue. already checked the fan for dust. It was good. also tested the temp sensor, it was good. the only thing left is the color wheel, or the likely chance it was the ballast. I went ahead and bought a 55" LED, but still have the TV with hopes of fixing it some day. My next thing is to get a ballast. Please post back if you figure something out!

Its half the price of the Nikon. Although I keep hearing, don't cheap out on lenses. Camera bodies come and go, but your lenses never go out of style!

Finding out that photobucket...where I chose to host my pictures is not retaining my EXIF data. What website do you guys use to host your pictures that maintains EXIF data and preferably is free?

I have elements 9 but the panorama as far as i know can only be stiched in 1 axis....and also require a tripod. which sometimes in some spots just can't happen

I just REALLY like big landscape shots. Today we were in a canyon, i couldn't take a few steps back but I couldn't capture everything I wanted. I really feel like I missed out.

I've been eyeballing the Nikon 10-24mm lens for some wide angle shots. I feel like i've missed some great shots because of my 18mm limit. But the lens is $900 :-/ anyone played around with the screw on fisheye adaptors? Any recomendations on a good one?
