Possible. I still have a case of the shimmy's in my Jeep, but its lifted 4.5" with 33's. Nothing fixed the death wobble I did have, after the ZJ tie rod upgrade, other than an alignment. My experience is any time a stabilizer has "fixed" the problem, its only gone on to be exacerbated when lifted with big heavy tires. That usually over power's the new stabilizer, and the death wobble still persists. Then, the real problem has to be tracked down, and so far, 8 of the 11 Jeeps I've worked on, have been alignment. 2 of them were track bar issues, and the last one was worn bushings. I'm just not a firm believer in the stabilizer being a fixer at all. It's just not an intricate and critical part of the front suspension and steering, it's just there to absorb the bumps and shifts inherent to a solid axle front end.

Ok what is the legal way to transport a hand gun to the range?

I wasn't particularly asking if OC was Legal in Ohio, I know it is. I just don't have a copy of Ohio law readily available since I live in Utah now, so I was unsure if Ohio had a specific definition of brandishing; Utah doesn't. In this state, brandishing doesn't exist. (Utah is OC friendly as well and I do that 90% of the time here ) -
You realize the stabilizer only dampens the affects of the road through the steering linkages. Death wobble is not from (usually) from steering components, though obviously and ultimately its going to affect your steering as the whole front axle is rattling itself. Again, the stabilizer will help, and most likely is masking the real problem. Also, shimmying from hitting a bump, which could be fixed by a stabilizer is drastically different than actual death wobble. Though, shimmying can be bad enough for someone to think its wobble.

I agree!

No, and I'll explain in the following. Yes, but not the only cause. Track bar mounts are a big part of it, but usually, its a shitty alignment. Too much toe in or out will cause it. Worn bushings in the control arms are an issue as well. Also could be from over/under inflated tires, and/or improperly balanced tires, though usually you only get a shimmy in the front end with those, not death wobble. Now, the reason a bad stabilizer isn't the problem 99.997% of the time is because the stabilizer is there to soak up the bumps, not to be a major influence on the steering. Now, sometimes if you only have a shimmy in the front when hitting bumps, the new stabilizer will mask that, which makes one think that the stabilizer was bad, but its usually just a band aid for a failure somewhere else.

You've never rode in a Jeep with death wobble have you?

I hit a spike buck in the head as it leapt over the guard rail. I was doing about 55. Took out my passenger head light, front fender, bent the hood etc. Swung around, and as I was slowing down to stop by it, it staggered up, jumped the guardrail it originally jumped, fell down the embankment and into the river never to be seen again. I was dumb founded that it lived at all.

Is there a "brandishing law" in Ohio? Most states make it very clear that to be accused of brandishing you must be handling the gun in such a manner as to be seen as a threat. Simply seeing a gun on a dash is not grounds for brandishing. This can't be stressed enough. If you're afraid of being pulled over for a license plate, then getting strung up for having a gun in the car as you're going to the range, then you handled that hypothetical situation completely wrong. Never offer anything that isn't asked for. Take command of the conversation. If he's telling you you have to display the license plate, then goes on to ask if you have any weapons in the car, right there is where you clam up and repeat the following. Am I being detained? If he answers NO, then say good day and be on your way he has no legal means to hold you any longer. If he says YES, ask under what Reasonable Articulable Suspicion. The LEO must then tell you why he's detaining you, which would be for failure to display license plate. From there, tell him that you will deal with questions regarding only that problem. After all, he didn't pull you over because he thinks you have a weapon, he's just phishing for something to bust you on. If he keeps pushing the weapons question, keep repeating those lines. And NEVER agree to a "volunteer vehicle search" because "if you have nothing to hide then why won't you let them search?". If he continuously pushes the subject, request that his supervisor be present before you continue with the traffic stop. Sounds a little annoying to do, especially since most everyone just wants the traffic stop to be done and over with. But, I'm a firm believer in not being a push over sheep when dealing with LEO, they stop you for a certain reason and have no need to know about anything else. Now, if you do indeed have a clause where you must inform a LEO you are carrying a weapon, then do so. But I think I've only ever seen that apply to CCW's. Not someone just transporting a weapon to the range and back who doesn't have a CCW. -
Planning on upgrading the suspension on the XJ? Stock would flat out suck if you're really thinking of doing a Pikes Peak vehicle.

Update to my post above. I submitted my order March 12. Order was confirmed April 23rd. And they (CMP) are only receiving more and more orders above normal rate.

Theoretically, a spec. Researching the 10 Dimensions gives "one" possible explanation, but never really defines where the first spec (Dimension 0) originated. Supposedly, space is infinite. So no. However, its hard for our brains to comprehend such sizes and numbers without us having some sort of benchmark to go from, our brains equate using limits, hence an "edge of space" idea.

I answer without looking at Austins links, but, it's a very hard question to answer given the many aspects of "prevention". If you're only concerned about preventions done with the actual wielding of the gun, then that number could probably be quantified. However, people OC as well. How would you be able to know if you/someone OCing prevented a crime? The root issue here shouldn't be whether it does or doesn't serve to prevent crime, it should be whether or not you are prepared for that instance in which shit happens.

Pelosi? said the same thing, but also mentioned she still plans to push for an eventual AWB and total gun registration. They are just learning to play their cards instead of showing their hands too early again (see Holder).

Austin,... No backup of the reply you had for this lady?: The pure idiocy of her post is just dumbfounding. She wants to blame Child Molesters who kill kids on lax laws and the Child Molester. She blames drunk drivers who kill people on the lax laws and the drunk driver. BUT, wants to blame criminal activity involving a gun ON THE GUN itself.... no wonder she fails to see the "sence" to it. Trying to argue with twats like her give me high blood pressure.

j&gsales has/had them for $69. Add 440rds at ~$85, add in shipping and you'd be close to what you paid. 91/30's are tame compared to the M44,M39,M91/59's,... those kick, but after you put a few rounds through them you learn how to shoulder it so you don't really feel it. QFT! However, don't expect immediate purchase. I submitted my order at the beggining of March. Called them 2 weeks ago and they hadn't even gotten to opening mail from the begging of March. I still haven't received an order confirmation yet which tells me they still probably haven't gotten to March's mail yet. And the lady on the phone told me they were atleast 120 days out from time of order acceptance to when delivery should be expected.... sigh.

Not necessarily. When trains are pushing cars, and coasting down grade or through yards/switches/sidings etc, you hear very little of what you think you would hear. With the Engine at the opposite end of the train, you could hear the squeel of the metal wheel flanges on the rails if they weren't in gauge, flat spots on the wheels if they existed, or the slight hum of the roller bearings in the trucks. Given the fact he was already standing damn near on the one rail, with the train already approaching (regardless of where the truck was), he had no clue that train was coming anyhow. Now, add in industrial noises such as blast furnaces, or cranes, or trucks, etc, those small noises emitted from a rail car being pushed are now drowned out.
