  1. Nope, I searched my own name and bing didn't bring up shit. Google though brings up my own linkedin account first thing and a few other relevant hits.
  2. We were moved from our desks to cubes so we could cut our 15minute response times down to 5 minutes. (We are on location at the customer site, of which, we have have a contract for 2 hour response times, and they keep pushing for more and more from us). Anyhow, we have two sets of cubes, each are designed for 3 people, but we hold 6 in each. When the fab is slow and we are all at the cubes, it sucks like hell.
  3. I've had one leg of a 480V transformer (so 240V) @ 60amps go through my left arm from my elbow to my hand. Hurt like a mother fucker. I'm pretty sure I suffered nerve damage. Every now and then I'll get a tingling/numb sensation in that area that will last for hours. Not fun
  4. Sorry, I keep forgetting my location still says Ohio. Gunnies is a Utah store, comparable to Vances. You should be able to find those same prices at any competitive gun shop. My recommendation, if you want a slightly better quality AR is to buy the upper and lower receivers separately. You'll wait a good bit longer than if you were to just buy a complete rifle off the shelf though. I assembled my CMMG lower and RRA upper for $850. $100 more than the same DPMS, but I also believe they are a little higher in the AR food chain. I waited 12 wks I think for my RRA upper, and this was before the new administration. FWIW though, you'll be more than happy with the DPMS. My coworker bought one and we had a hell of a lot of fun with it a couple weekends ago.
  5. lol, thats the second time that's been mentioned in as many weeks (and that pic has been there since I joined CR). Don't worry though, that's how we run our moon shine, someone has to hold down the crates.
  6. Know what you want though. Out here at Gunnies the $649 Panther lite was a very basic model lacking the forward assist, shell deflector, and dust cover,... I'd avoid that model unless you plan to never really shoot it. The next model up for $749 had all of them.
  7. Fixed for truth. Homebrew > Microbreweries > *
  8. Do you use some sort of combustion to expell the potato? IE hairspray and a sparkplug? Then yes, it would be a "firearm"... lame, I know.
  9. Be careful about it is all I can advise. If the BB gun is considered a "gun", you may not be allowed to discharge it in the city. That, and you don't want to end up like the College kid a few months ago who did pretty much the same thing and was then brought up on Felony Animal Abuse charges
  10. That is where being legal, and being safe can contradict. You merge onto the highway at the speed of traffic to be able to merge safely. The people coming onto the highway are the ones who must yield, not the highway traffic, therefore you are at the mercy of whatever speed they are. (these Utah fuckers don't grasp this concept though, they'll get up to 55 and wait till just before they have to merge to check their mirrors to see if it safe.... assuming they aren't texting on their phones.) Anyhow, if traffic is doing 90, and speed limit is 70, you should be merging at 90mph. Both breaking the law, and doing as the law intends for the yielding traffic. Either way, I don't think I've ever seen someone pulled over for merging slower than traffic!
  11. The re-holstering for me vastly improved once broken in, it's just the retention part I need to figure out. I am not sure if the top of the holster has a thin metal liner, or if its just really thick and heavy leather. It can be "formed" so I might just have to work it a little more "loosen" it up around the top.
  12. I somewhat agree. Sounds like you pissed someone off and they are slowly targeting you. Either by stealing stuff to cost you money and distress, or by loosening your lug nuts to cause your wheel to fall off at speed. The other incidents the cops speak of might be coincidence, or you could really be the victim of 3 separate occurrences. Either way, I'd start being more diligent and vigilante with your property.
  13. Kinda, we did just raise parts of I-15 on the way to Nevada up to 80mph for "testing". Everyone already does 80-85 through those sections anyhow though. As far as I know though, there are no other roads/highways in Utah faster than 75mph.
  14. 19/20. I thought you were always supposed to pass on the left at ALL times, hence the far left lane being the "passing lane"?
  15. Galco's thick leather holster belt as well. Debating on whether or not I want to get a belt from thebeltman or not. But my issue really is from heavy retention and not a sloppy belt.
  16. Good choice! I love my summer comfort for my SA .40XD. Wait till it breaks in, it will get more comfortable. My only beef, and it's a "for the better" type of beef, is, I find it stupidly hard to remove the gun. As in, I have to hold the belt with one hand and pull the gun with the other. Bad if I need it in a hurry, good for the retention factor though.
  17. Gahhh, I was just oogling this very same Sportster today, except it had the stock pipes. But damn it was sexy in person.
  18. It's China, who gives a shit? They are going to fuck themselves to death anyhow, one way or another.
  19. This is why I like Utah more and more. We just passed law stating that weapons can be concealed in your car in your employers parking lot and they can't do shit to you about it. Though, in reality, Utah generally doesn't have a problem with gun rights anyhow.
  20. What? they did it all wrong, they are supposed to give in and do everything the bad guys say and they will all be OK. How do I know? That's what the Gov't told me, so it must be true.... right? +1 for the guy not being a sheep!
  21. I'm actually more amazed that CNN had an unbiased (actually, PRO gun) stance on this. Anyhow. He had admitted in court that he used a select fire sear out of an M16 in the rifle. In an AR 15 this does not immediately make it full auto, and it does not make it illegal, however it does lead to jamming and malfunction issues. They (Gov't) fail to make it a point that the ATF's testing of the gun was only able to go full auto (and jam as well) when using soft primere'd ammunition. They could not get any of the "off the shelf" civilian ammo they tested to make the rifle go full auto. This case is sketchy at best. I agree with slapping him on the wrist, fining him and letting him go. Yah he fucked up, but he's not the first to have this type of problem, my SKS has slam fired on occasion. However, I in no way (unless they come up with some earth turning information) think he's any sort of Felon because of this issue.
  22. Good lol, I was hoping you'd reply with an "its a throw away gun" type answer, but a NO is much better Don't we all!
  23. You bought a Hi-Point? -1 for you sir!
