  1. I hate this "world record crap", it is such a joke. Really if someone want to make some money they would create and industry standardized ranking system and timing system. Think ISO ect. They live in the CTD bubble, seriously this "record" is essentially meaningless, and NO one buys the credibility. Who tracks these records, NO ONE. Its a giant fist bump among insecure idiots whom feel they have to have credibility for nothing. While I know it is not a v12... UGR has 1800 pump gas cars, who the fuck cares what a inferior v12 engine does. Let me be the king of the handicappers...Brilliant. While I will make a disclaimer, the Erics have really worked hard to make this car as best as possible, and I do think they are pretty fmart sellows who deserve some credit to do what they have done to this point...However the project is ludicrous. Finally if they were smart, they would make CTD a brand that presents itself as exclusive and yet result driven...Dyno queens dont sell work, look at the supra world. Titan raced, Titan made power, Titan sold lots of stuff. eg. Not a dyno number and thump the chest. I digress.
  2. Bingo, Black contrast is much better on plasma, and so is refresh rates/artifact tracking. They live long past the point you will want to upgrade them. The glass glare can be a down side. Overall I prefer plasma as well, for now.
  3. 720P is a better resolution then 1080i AND If most of your viewing on a perspective TV is done via Cable/DTV/DISH then then all the 4k blah blah blah is irrelevant. Your quality of picture starts with the signal, not the other way around. You're only getting 1080i/720p out of these sources. I wont invest in 4k for the lack of usable consumer utility is minimal. If you want to go balls deep and a fancy movie setup, with Blueray ect then maybe I could justify it, however even then 1080P is really what your transmitting through HDMI.
  4. Marc always brings the flames...(insert 84% gay emoji) Now with this in mind this is all taking place in selected markets though specific marketing programs and A/B type data analysis campaigns. Marc - lots of 50" TV's that fit that bill, not many 60"'s from a quick search. So i went though adobes analytic on a few skus I found, and out west looks like BB has run some visio's in that class for 595 already as online only - SO there will likely be some out in that range, maybe higher though as they also went for more from looking at the PP graph. From 589 - 799 from what I am seeing on those skus
  5. The best sales of the season are happening NOW... The retailers and especially ecommerce markets are pinning pricing for the holiday season RIGHT NOW. Thank adobe and google for their market pricing forces. Most do not realize they are being price fixed, but essentially this is what happens to develop price points across the retailing world. Studying ecommerece is pretty interesting, and watching what happens is even more interesting. BUY before black Friday for the lowest prices. The price floors are being set now.
  6. AND the rumors are out now... oumassara wrote: Pasting below an e-mail to me today from a Florida St. fan: you heard about this rumor? This was posted last night on warchant: 1. Braxton Miller to transfer to FSU. Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller is on pace to earn his undergraduate degree and as such would be eligible to take advantage of the NCAA's graduate transfer rule (see Russell Wilson). A rumor has been making the rounds that FSU is on his short list of schools, since it runs a pro-style offense. The thinking being that Miller would be a stopgap QB between Winston and J.J. Cosentino and/or the 2015 group of incoming freshman QBs. Sounds good on paper, but don't hold your breath. I can't 100 percent dismiss this rumor, but I can tell you that nobody in a position to know at FSU is aware of this as even being a possibility. Of course, if Miller called up Jimbo Fisher asking to transfer, he would certainly consider it. But no call or even feelers have been put out in that direction yet. I get that Miller probably can't directly contact Fisher or anybody at FSU at this stage, but there are backdoor ways of gauging interest (like going though your old high school coach, players you might know on the team, etc.). Point is, nothing at all has come FSU's way yet, even through secondary channels. Nevada says Braxton isn't leaving Ohio State. Bank that.
  7. Granted I must list the following *I did not attend this year **Last year at least 15 crashes ***Two years ago at least 20 crashes While the Atco small tire crashes may be wild, so are FWD hondas lolzzzz they some how crash the most.
  8. while he is a good player... we have two more that play the same roll. Marshall is flat out better right now then Dontre, in special teams and on offense. Samuel can grow up some more. Never want to loose any weapons, however this one is okay. OSU on the Minnesota.. in my thoughts. They are going to run all "cant touch this" parachute pants and all on minisoda. They are a "pleasant" surprise for a heaping pile of rancid crap that is the big ten. We may not punt the ball in this game. Poor Cam doesnt even get enough reps to look good for the pros' ....He can thank JT later I guess. Kill is already on seizure alert, because his eyes are going to be crossed from how bad we smack his team around.
  9. They have to have that level of response because there are about 30 crashes during the weekend... Its and awesome event, but its carnage in a way...Since there is so much racing to complete, and everyone is full bore for records...
  10. What is his name, I think I know who this is.
  11. Yes. Think about running v. cycling as a long term investment. Ever see runners running at 60+? Sure. Ever See a runner running at 60+ that doesn't look miserable, awful cadence, odd posture, ect? Not really, and that is because their joints have all quit on them from being abused their whole life. Now there are cyclists that are in there 60s' still going on 100K rides at 19 mph averages. They hop of the bike and walk normal, because they saved their joints from the stress's of running.
  12. lol Anthony. Strava is great, mainly to just give you information on your rides, routes, elevations, moving time corrections and average speeds. It is just a tool to use, and to share amongst riders. I am on there, I enjoy it, although I do not go "hunting" for segments like some do. I just ride, and sometimes its fun to look at afterwords. Evan, I have meet you at Westerville before. You ride in the A ride I believe, I have the black and white Giant with Reynolds wheels. I am no pro, but collegiate level athlete according to my vo2 testing. As for the OP and other posters; I think everyone has the right idea. That being running is the worst thing you could ever do to your body and ride a bike. Now the type of bike, or comfort depends on what your after. MTB is a blast, there is no better exercise where you mentally block everything out, focus, and suffer. On the road, it is slightly different. You can get into a group ride, and talk and socialize on the bike, or get in groups were everyone trys to drop you, and you hang on for dear life. My personal preference is a split of both, but I am more into riding the road now-a-days. Here is my reasoning. On the road its just you and the bike and how far and how hard you want to go. Another plus is on your wrists and body as on road, there are no trees, mud, rocks, roots, bumps, ect that you get on the trails, which tend to beat you up over time. On the road you can step out your front door and normally just go out for a ride, thats nice. Comfort is acquired so to speak on the road bike. While most people see the tiny seat and think, NO WAY MY ASS FITS THAT. With proper fit and gear it can be comfortable to ride 100 miles at a time. You can setup almost all road bikes to seat you more upright as well, and or pick a frame design that is intended to be more comfortable (shorter top tube design). It is safer to put more training in on the road bike as well vs mtb. MTB being some anaerobic, and skillful, and tricky riding can in turn create more crashes, thats bad. On the road the only issue is Sophia and her cell phone texting and driving...So there are cons to both there. As far as the mtb though, it is awesome. I started on the trails and have been likened more so to the road like Mike mentioned above. MTB riding is hard though, on your gear, and takes more maintenance. But the rewards are great, riding in the woods can be tranquil. Like I said when your riding in the trails with purpose you can only think about looking in front of you, not your shitty day at work, or any crap like that. It all goes out the window, because if you dont focus, and your riding a trail that is moderately challenging, you will crash. Really if I were you, get a road bike. You can setup it up to be more upright if you're worried about comfort. Get some miles in, get comfortable on it. Find local "group rides" like in westerville, new albaney, dublin ect, these are great for training and enjoying other bike geeks. I do not think you will regret it. Oh and there really isnt anything IMO harder then long hard rides. I have done all the 5k-10k's, half marathons, tri athealons, soccer, power lifting ect. Hard riding will essenitally destroy you, in a good way. Example, a modest 64 mile ride me and Mike did last saturday burned 3200 calories at and average speed of 19.4 mph, not crazy fast but good tempo. I can burn more calories in one ride then most humans should intake in a day. Also side note, make sure you budget for lycra padded shorts, helmet, pedals, shoes, jersey. If you think your to cool to wear "tights"... think again, after the first ride where your ass cheeks are so chaffed from sliding around in the seat you will change your mind. If anyone ever wants to ride, me and Mike ride quit a bit, PM and I will get you in my group email.
  13. The Nth moto guys are pretty cool, I facilitated them to come and tune a 1000 hp viper IPS put a infinity system in a year and a half ago. Ex heffner AEM guys, good guys, cool car, just stood no chance. AMS has really pushed deeper into the GTR market, and left Switzer slightly behind now.
  14. This is exactly what happened to my TL as well. Had one bad coil which made the whole car shake and run pretty rough. Clear the codes and found that 3 cylinders consistently came up with random misfires. Started swapping coils among cylinders to try and isolate the bad one. Got it down to two cylinders after some swapping, bought one coil replaced the one I believed was bad. Fixed.
  15. http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/238087 Pretty cool video of a pep talk with Texas football. Aside from OSU, I always enjoy Texas doing well.
  16. See that's the way I always thought it was spelled as well.
  17. So if you're Wisconsin's head coach, and you saw the film how easily Navy dismantled 4 and 5 star talent with zero star guys with simple cut blocks, you presumably would try to utilize some of their tactics. And using those tactics with better athletes would pose and even bigger threat from my perspective. Throw in the fact any other team can pass the ball and things would be even dicier, potentially. I understand there are a lot of pundits who think Navy is a loose loose game, and we shouldn't take much merit in how our defense played. However in my opinion, you have FAR superior talent and you were essentially "pushed around" by Navy's scheme. Would Alabama, FSU, LSU GA, ect have been pushed around in that manner? I would speculate Navy would get a play or two here or there but would be overly neutralized. The coaches this week even spoke about how mediocre our line backers were, and did not grade out well. They really need to wake up, quickly, because I just saw a continuation of last seasons line backing play to be frank.
  18. Okay maybe this is the pessimist in me. I think Navy is a good team, with avg to low talent, that overachieves. OSU has 4-5 star talent that maybe you would say under achieves at times. The Defensive concerns I have are the same as they were last year. Our linebacking core is just not that good, our linebackers should have been called on a lot vs the option attack, yet they didnt seem to get it again...I dont care about excuses that this is a hard to defend against system. When your talent is that much better, it should not be hard to defend. We consistently did not understand how to contain the edge, and find the gaps, worrying...The secondary, I wasnt thrilled with their run stopping efforts, surely the safties could have been better so to speak. My concern is again, we have good line play and avgerage play at linebacking and in the secondary. Josh Perry may look like a beast, but like Grant, they just seem not to have "it"; which we are used to at OSU. Summation, the linebackers better get a clue. I hope the secondary does well vs VA Tech, they will get a look at least. I think the D-Line will do fine. The Offense was fine, and will be better so long as the line play progress's quickly. It was clear they had a hard time (against really not good talent), and while JT threw the pick it was mostly a result of our center getting BLOWN up instantly and flustered JT into a bad read. They didn't open holes in the run game either, until the fourth quarter, once our size wore the midship men down. I think we will see improvement, but to sit around all happy eyed, thinking "it was a good Navy team, and we wont see that scheme again, so the defense gets a pass" ... I think that is dangerous optimism, as running the ball is running the ball...We didn't stop it as well as I thought we could.
  19. Call Jon Moore - Moorespeed Performance His rates are are very fair (approximately 45% less then other vendors on the site), and he does a lot of Subi work. 614-563-3878
