  1. I agree. The one I posted doesn't look near as bad as most of them though.
  2. I only know what I have found on google. Most stuff I have found says they are reliable, just ugly as fuck
  3. Fiancee found one she likes and I know nothing of them and don't see them on the road much. It's a nice looking vehicle for what it is and the price appears to be under KBB for being on a lot. They just got it in from PA AWD 3.4liter 120k plus miles $3499 is the asking price. Should I bother going to look at this thing? My negotiation skills are lacking I will admit. If I could get it for that out the door or a little under I would be happy so long as it checks out okay. One thing I noticed from the pics is the Anti-Lock light is lit up. It's about an hour drive for us. http://i.imgur.com/6trz0Yk.jpg http://i.imgur.com/wj2xT4A.jpg http://i.imgur.com/1ytYE54.jpg

    wow.

two more upgrades remaining and I am closing this game and never opening it again lol http://i.imgur.com/IxIypUZ.png
  6. Seems when big forums sell off they die off. Senior members move on while new members join and it struggles along for a bit before becoming a ghost town. Wonder how this is going to go?
  7. It's an ASUS laptop running windows 7. Updated drivers and had two issues. First being the touchpad stopped responding. Rolled back to the previous driver and that fixed it. Second and separate issue is the mic is stuck on. I didn't notice until I shut the lid and heard it making sounds. Haven't found anything on google that has helped yet. Tried updating via device manager but it says the installed driver is current. Tried rolling back the driver and restarting but I lose sound all together when I do that even though the equalizer bar still moves up and down when something should be playing. Tried disabling the mic and it still does it when shutting the lid. Any ideas?
  8. sorry to hijack but is movie maker what I would need to paste together a bunch of short videos of my son the last couple years in order to put on a DVD? I'd like to find something I can make one movie with and have a short black screen, or fade before each, if that make sense?
  9. Sorry I didn't check before posting
  10. just a guess, but maybe one of your manifold bolts is a stud that also doubles as a mounting point for the alternator bracket?
  11. Go hot pink lol http://www.tcpglobal.com/autobodydepot/vht-engine-enamel.aspx
  12. If it was me and I didn't have much done or plan to I'd stick with stock manifolds. Maybe things have changed over the year but cheap headers use to be bad with sealing up. A known hack of a remedy was to cut the flanges so they're independent instead of the long mounting surface. that, or double up gaskets.
  13. Hope you all have a good day tomorrow with your families. Be safe
  14. http://i.imgur.com/qQZJZ1N.gif Seriously though, that's fucking disturbing.
  15. only a 3 hour visit? WTF. Such a sad story. I wonder what goes through a persons head that makes them not only want to kill their self, but to harm a child who isn't old enough to even know what is going on. Obviously, taking any one out with you would be fucked up, but an innocent 3 year old who hasn't really even begun to live life yet, and hasn't harmed any one.
  16. One of the sites I found the guy was quoted at $1500 to replace the whole core. That was dealer pricing but still, doubt it's something you want to pay to have done. No reason why you and a buddy do this job in a couple of days and have it back on the road, much safer than it is now. Even if you don't want it back up.
  17. one of these will come in handy http://www.harborfreight.com/3-8-eighth-inch-double-sided-rotary-spot-weld-cutter-95343.html?hftref=cj
  18. You WILL be drilling spot welds in order to remove the core support on just about every vehicle still on the road today. While I only skimmed through these, it appears the maxima falls into that category. It also appears as if there is an upper and lower, rather than it being one big piece. http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generation-maxima-1995-1999/613254-lower-radiator-support-replacement.html http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generation-maxima-1995-1999/639883-lower-radiator-support-replacement-pics.html http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generation-maxima-1995-1999/559406-welding-front-core-support.html http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generation-maxima-1995-1999/375661-poll-radiator-core-support-rust.html
  19. cable ties should do it. Two of the big ones. But seriously, stop driving that thing or at the least, weld something up and run it to death. Hopefully not literally.
  20. does this count? http://images-2.drive.com.au/2010/08/04/1745073/Holden_ute_SS-V_m_m.jpg
  21. yea she's going to have to download a pirated copy, the exact install that was once on it, then use her key. Other than that she's going to need to purchase a new disc from MS, or upgrade that dinosaur, even though she doesn't have a lot of money to work with
  22. So you work on your own stuff? Why do you need some one to look over a potential beater for you then
  23. Your "go to" shop shouldn't have much of an issue going over a vehicle for you provided you can bring it to them. If you have one, give your mechanic a ring.
