  1. Why not take it to AP? I think they are really back logged though.....but if it's something quick, I can ask Don to do a favor.
  2. We're going to look into whether it was FOD or lateral forces on that launch that caused it to touch the side. It's nearly impossible to overdrive it.
  3. They do work on MKIII's....Don and Russ have each owed a couple in the past. In fact Russ at AP likes them better!
  4. Motec. You should see the logs and how stable the boost is. We're using twin Tial 44 gates and a Full-Race divided manifold. It varies within a couple .2 psi the entire run. By far the best set-up we've used.
  5. Thanks everyone! Jason, we tried D42 a few weeks ago. Our car won't hook there at all and would even spin third gear when I rolled into it. It's too bumpy on the back half and shut down area to safely do over 150 in a rear wheel drive car in my opinion. I may bring the Z though.
  6. We adjusted it in netrual....the bolts seem to keep loosening up even with a ton of loctite....so we may end up justing welding them in place.
  7. 1.35 60 ft 5.40 1/8 @ 140. With 2nd gear and a better launch, we should be hitting 5.1x's @ 145. Hopefully next time out in a couple weeks.
  8. Yep....we'll turn it up to 42-43 once we start getting consistent.
  9. I went out to Milan tonight with a last minute invite to a track rental. We only got one pass in as somehow our electric fan exploded right around the 60 ft mark and the blades got sucked into the turbo tearing apart the wheel around the 1000 ft mark per the logs. (If you look closely you can see part of it flying out from the driver's side). Shitty luck. We also are still having shifter cable problems as it skipped 2nd and went directly into 3rd. Once I recruit a better crew to get me into the groove.......and get a full pass using all three gears without needing to lift, this car has a 7 written all over it. And we're still running low boost. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/A...nce_172312.htm
  10. I do, per SFI. If you kept your stock front brakes, you have plenty of brakes to slow any mph you get out of it. Without converting the rest of the car to an 8.50-9.99 spec, adding a chute wouldn't make any sense and would create more tech trouble for you. I'm running a lightened Wilwood set-up and even they slowed me from 175 with no chute....but just barely with the long Norwalk shut down.
  11. I like Jason's car so I'm not taking a dig at it...but adding another 16+mph is going to take a lot more hp than he made the other week (not to mention a number of other changes) as he will need to add most of that mph in the 1/8 mile...
  12. Hmmm....I was N/A that night and Linn only beat me on spray and Cavin and I were glued until I would pull a car length past 130. I agree with JP, that turbo Z is not going to pull 160 traps. No question it will be fast though.
  13. Anytime you'd like. Come on up with Jason. Or make it easy and run each other and I'll come down and run the winner.
  14. You're wasting your money on A6's. Wrong tire for what you're looking to do. You need to heat the 345 BFG's up with a good burn-out before you run. Get a drag alignment, but I doubt that's your issue either. These platforms just don't hook well past 700hp for many reasons. Good numbers so far. Looking forward to see how much hp you can get out of that build. Let me know when you're used to it and ready to run. Jamie
  15. I rented one out in CA last month. It took me a few minutes to rig the trac control off, but once done, I beat the living shit out of it. Hertz uses aftermarket clips underneath the button that you need to remove. Most fun I've had in a rental since the Hertz Shelby Mustang that I did the same thing with last year....there was so much rubber up the quarter panels that I needed to buy bug remover and a towel to clean it off....
  16. PM me if you're coming up Ray...not on 480...too many cops around this time of year...but there are other good spots.
  17. Ok then maybe I'll leave the S4 at home and you and I can have a little fun.
  18. The S4 dummy!!! Actually I may have it there....hoping to pick it up Friday.
  19. I'm planning on being there with my bottle if anyone wants to run.
  20. 1100 at the low boost we've been running it at. Weighs 3200 race weight. 28 inch 10.5 tire. You have too much tire for your weight and hp. Thanks everyone for the comments...I'll post again when we're in the 7's.
  21. We took a video but it turned out shitty...a bunch of people walked in front of the tripod and just stood there....
