Chain up, go in opisite directions. I think the booick might just have a good chance here. Axle weight + torque = teh win.

I notice it more when I'm at idle (I want to blame it on an exhaust leak.)
The power valve was 'fixed' (removed) and a bolt was put in place of it. I was tired of replacing them and was told it was an okay alternative.
Put a power valve back in it! The power valves allows extra fuel at WOT, without it you will have to jet it up around 8 steps and that will cause a very rich mixture at cruising speed.

Not sure about a dig, next to no flywheel and a 2.17 to 1 first gear make running from a dig near impossible

I'm not doubting you. But I'm curious as to what your setup is exactly. I've heard stories, but nothing concrete. What are you running under that hood exactly?Dyno results? estimated results?
It's just an old school SBC, so low tech it has a mechanical fuel pump. It has yet to be on the dyno and on it's only pass at the track the clutch gave up in second gear.

We got out-played guys plain and simple. Can you expect to win a game when you give the other team the ball on our 3 fucking yard line? You can't ask any more out of the defense. But the offense really hurts my feelings.
