  1. It made it out Saturday night untill the fuel pump took a shit about ten miles into the trip  Should be out this weekend.

Sorry, that's the only pic I'll be posting, as that is the only view anyone here will ever see tongue.gif

Dude, I am the FIRST to admit that I don't hold a candle to your experience. Never claimed I did. I'm sitting down here on a shoestring budjet trying to learn and build on the cheap. You have more money in the heads on the 7 than I have in my whole car, strange thing is, you are fully aware of this. You also know that I have a 5 yr old that wants for NOTHING, all this car bullshit comes second to his wants and needs. Where you had the cash for the sale of the Camaro to finance this RX-7 project, I was trading computers and RC cars so I could get a hot rod. And when I blew the thing up, it was horse trading and shit that paid for the motor (the orange malibu's 327) so I could get the thing back on the road.

I ain't said that anything I got is all that great, hell it sucks for the most part, but it's mine, and part of it even runs. You want to belittle me, crack jokes about my shit, have fun doing it. I really figured that you would be the last person to turn on ANYONE, I guess my people judging skills aren't any better than my knowledge of anything else, Huh?

I never said anything bad about budget builds, the camaro went fast for cheap and the rx7 has much less invested in it than most people think.

However, every single post you make on this board annoys me, not sure exactly what it is and I'm not going to waste time thinking about it.

  3. Hey guys, what the fuck?

Cut Dan a little slack please. He has been a good friend of mine for some time now and is just happy that the car he has watched me build over past while will finally be on the road,... I hope. Just like everyone else here he gets excited when a friend gets his bucket running, maybe a little too excited but nothing wrong with that. I hope those of you who don't know him get a chance to meet him soon, he's brings only positive things to the racing community and is really a nice guy when your not fucking with him.

I'm glad your happy to see my car on the road soon Dan, now it's time we got your new project going.

Ahh that was fun, good thing I did that instead of trying to get my car running, cause that was 3546546 times more fun.

Damn, I forgot about the flamming brake parts cleaner can graemlins/lol.gif
  5. The nine inch is the strongest but some of it's strength comes from the very low pinion gear which causes more drag than other rear ends. The 8.8 is becoming the way to go, the readily availible, have plenty of aftermarket parts to strengthen an already stout foundation, and require less power to rotate.

Are you ditching the IRS in the Viper or Mark8?

It doesn't hold a candle to the original, but it's fucking tits compared to the Intrepid it's replacing

  7. I used to run a nitrous system on my old camaro, brought it well into the nines on street trim, but it was a major hassle IMO. I'm much happier with an all motor set up that will put the old big block + nitrous combination to shame. Next project will be boosted via the exaust, best bet all the way around, BIG FAT PERIOD.

Beat Keiths car huh.... I will have to call sand baging on Keiths part, but thats just me. Cant speak for a car that is not mine.</font>Talked to Keith today about that race this afternoon. He was in third at around 3500rpm on the start, if he had been in second it would have been a much better race. He is looking foward to the 30th when everyone comes back.

What does everyone think of cloning endangered species, in an attempt to repopulate them? Ethical, or playing God?

IMO not a good idea, man has really been screwing mother earth over ever since the industrial revolution, and trying to fix it with anything not natural would probably backfire in a huge way.

Please don't take what I said as a cry from tree hugging hippie, I love burning fossil fuels as much as or more than the next guy.

The sad thing was only the rotary powered one was running for a while, it popped a couple of months ago.

The piston powered two will be roaming the streets soon graemlins/nod.gif
