The new Archangel Mosin Nagant stock
Avenger1647545502 replied to Rustlestiltskin's topic in Dumpster
Mojoe, I get where you're coming from, but the Red Army disagrees! I laughed at the M-44...wonder how well that stock would hold up in bayonet drill! -
noPhoto says "screw you" to traffic cameras

Car and Driver tested a bunch of "anti-camera" products a few years back...pretty much negative results on everything. -
Assume Georgesville just south of the casino, as usual.

That's a good idea for keeping parts organized...but I bet that somewhere deep down inside is a little part of you that is slightly disappointed when you open that case and find parts instead of Hot Wheels cars.

BOA - Can't purchase Guns or Ammo with their card now

Doing banking with BOA...yeah, that had me laughing. -
Somewhat similar to mine, but mine had slanted, not curved, slide cuts. Also, the slide was more curved over the top, the extractor on mine was internal to the slide, and the front of the frame and slide sort of resembled a Tokarev. Breakdown was odd, you had to remove the grips to knock out a pin that retained the breech assembly when the slide was back. Drop the breech out, and then push the slide forward. Never seen an assembly quite like it. There were a TON of Ruby types, and most of them were built in small batches on a jobber basis. About the only thing they have in common is being mostly in .32ACP, and usually 7+1 round capacity. Mine had NO markings whatsoever on it anywhere beyond the "P bomb" and "I bomb" proofs, and no sign that any had been scrubbed.

Radials are going into everything lately...there was an MR2 at Lemons Chicago last year with a 985cu in 9cyl motor. Plus all the bikes with the little Rotax and Jacobs plants...

Friend sent this sign to me today, he works at Chase.

Which explains why I don't have a Chase account anymore... -
Smith 22a...unless you can find a Model 41 for cheap. The 22a will run you in the 225-275 range depending on barrel length and finishes. You won't find a more accurate .22 for under 400.

I had one of the Spanish "Ruby" type pistols in .32ACP. Not even a clue on who actually made it, it had generic grips and no markings whatsoever. It failed to feed, failed to fire, failed to extract, combinations of those three, plus the magazine would occasionally pop out if you turned the gun more than about 30* to the side, like if you set it down. It also was completely counter-intuitive to break down (REMOVE THE GRIPS TO KNOCK A PIN OUT TO REMOVE THE SLIDE...) and the sights were utterly horrible. I sold it to a collector when I experienced 14 failures with 8 rounds fired...and kind of regret it, because when it worked, it was SCARY accurate.

I had to take Mom's Element up to the parts store...which involved a side trip to a deserted parking lot. WORST. AWD. EVER. Undefeatable traction control and vehicle stability means as soon as you get it drifting nicely, the computers step in and try to wrench it back straight forward...which means that anything more than about 10* of wheel means that you WILL be suddenly understeering the opposite way you intend to. Ugh. Dad's Super Duty Crewcab long bed 4X4 was MUCH more fun.

The Escort was an incredible racing platform. There just wasn't anything that it didn't do well. They were at their best on twisty circuits like that where the lower weight and better suspension favored them over cars with 3 times their HP. Look at all the body roll on those cars!

This is why Cheaper Than Dirt should be boycotted
Avenger1647545502 replied to copperhead's topic in Dumpster
I haven't bought anything from Dirt since they started touting those "super-duper-explodo-killer-death" sintered metallic bullets back in 2003. Anybody who read their ad copy and didn't immediately scream "BULLSHIT!"...then I read the rest of the catalog! -
Flyers in Columbus, Little Italy's in Groveport, Capuano's or Mama Linda's in Pataskala.

Banner or Trophy? It'll be printed on the left side of the tube under the turret.

Not sure what happened, but did you notice how much flame was coming out of the exhaust? He had a serious shot on there, that was a LOT of fuel that went through unburned.

God, you'd need to replace just about everything made of rubber on that car. And it'd NEVER be financially worth it.

Rooster's on West Broad has a huge lot. I wouldn't leave nice cars in it without armed guards though!

Scrap Metal, Seperating, Where and what are the Avg Prices?
Avenger1647545502 replied to neonkiller's topic in Dumpster
Go to Joyce...they will pay about the same as Ace. Even if they paid better, I still wouldn't do business with Ace. They've been busted MANY times with the bronze markers used to mark veteran's gravestones...just sitting there in their yard like they were trash. -
Do a barrel roll!

That lot of stuff has been listed on and off for about three years now.
