  1. Probably just on hold for winter. The half of stands left are supposed to be part of the track.
  2. If you can, take a look inside the fenders and between the radiator support and bumper. The plastic panels make it really easy to conceal minor hits in front.
  3. http://bangshift.com/bangshiftxl/1930-ford-model-rural-mail-car-sale-amazing-history-even-video-action/
  4. Honda Odyssesy does not surprise me one bit...but I'll bet a lot of dead drivers turned up nearby after crawling away, not wanting to be caught dead in one.
  5. I got my first subwoofers there...a pair of Orion XDR-15DVCs. I had them in a nice ported enclosure that was basically my entire trunk with 500 watts pushing each one. On their 3rd or 4th anniversary of the opening, they got a flyby of the P-51 the company sponsored for the Reno Air Races. That was impressive.
  6. If you could find a decent Ventura, that would be a good candidate too. It's harder to get the weight out of a disco-era car, but it can be done. Or the Sunbird, which was the Pontiac version of the Monza.
  7. Find a decent 3rd gen Firebird and get everyone REALLY scratching their heads. Or a Grand Prix.
  8. Let them out and about every so often...I used some of that nasty plastic landscaping edging to make a big loop that they couldn't climb over, and dropped it on the carpet. It was amusing when the cats noticed them..."Holy Jeebus that thing under the rock moved and the rock moved and the thing is a rock and moves what?!?!?!"
  9. I had a 52 for a short time. It was a NICE little rifle, but finding ammo was an issue. I traded it for a pair of Russian SKSs, wish I hadn't now.
  10. Classic Arms is a great company to buy from. Their customer service is about the best I've dealt with.
  11. There was a black 4-door at the Pick-n-Pull the other day, looked like it was fresh in. Pretty sure there are a couple of 2-doors about as well.
  12. Hopefully they will be continuing the Hangover Nats...I've never been to that track for anything else, oddly enough.
  13. It's basically a swashplate engine with piston rods...they have been used in torpedos since the 1920s.
  14. Dodge and Carroll Shelby developed a structural plastic wheel back in the 80s and sold them on CSX-VNT Shadows as the Fiberride. They weren't carbon fiber, I believe they were Delrin or something similar, but the concept of a plastic or fiberglass wheel isn't all that new.
  15. There was a guy down the street from me who had a GMC Sonoma GT...it was basically a Syclone, but N/A and RWD. The odd thing was that the GT was actually RARER than the Syclone....which has to be a first for poser cars.
  16. Looks like the rest of the piece has a fairly rough finish, bet the feed ramp is rough too. That could cause that failure to feed if the mag lips were tight too.
  17. I get what smokinHawk means...people think that AWD/4WD means invulnerability in the snow, so they try to drive like they would in the dry. I'd say 60% or so of the vehicles I've seen stuck were AWD Suvs...and they were usually REALLY stuck.
  18. The two guys who were in the store were white "hippie looking" and younger, according to the cashier. I didn't see the one driving unfortunately...I was focused on the plate after I realized how close they were going to get to me.
  19. I was carrying...not a self defense situation...damn tempting though.
  20. They have been hitting mostly Dollar General and drug stores, according to the cashier. They just seem to grab random things...one of the things they got was a crappy soap dish. They just grabbed change from the cars.
  21. Or thieves...three males in a silver or gray midsize sedan, license CGB6397. They have been shoplifting stores on the westside for about a week. Tonight they branched out into car breakins too. Got two cars in the parking lot while their buddy inside jimmied a fire escape door in the back area. Then they all went inside, loaded up some totes, and blasted out the side door. They missed running me over by about a foot in the parking lot, so I noticed the plate. Went inside and got the story. CPD doesn't even pretend to care even if the store will release video.
  22. What a great idea! Wonder if any other tracks, like maybe Dragway 42, are doing similar events and calling them the Hangover Nats? Hmmm....
  23. Farkas, I've been in so many cereal aisles trying to chase this stuff down for her that I'm starting to make whip-cracking noises at MYSELF...
  24. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_umeN_4R5F9M/TURbGPd8maI/AAAAAAAABKw/bHmcGl7e9v4/s1600/quisp-cereal.jpg My girlfriend LOVED this stuff when she was a kid, and supposedly it is back in stores now. Has anyone seen it locally?
  25. It's an older one, and it won't connect wireless or wired to the internet. It finds the modem either way, but won't connect. It's just so the rugrat can run their cartoons from Netflicks, and it's a free piece...anyone have any ideas on why?
