  1. Turns himself sideways to camouflage himself (as a branch stump). He squints his brow to reduce the visible darkness of his eyes against his light feathers.
  2. I loved the book, and pretty much anything zombie related...but another zombie movie worries me. Look what happened to vampires: Dracula was a TERROR, his mere presence on the screen would make strong women scream and brave men cower back...so EVERY movie had to have a vampire or deal with vampires for most of the 90s...now they SPARKLE and tweens get in E-battles over which is cutest. They got over-used and became stereotyped, and lost that edge of TERROR they used to have. Same thing happened with mummies (Thank you so FUCKING much Brendan Fraser...) and werewolves. The trend is towards escalating the undead body count...the heroes end up walking to safety, and the only real difficulty is not tripping over the pile of corpses...how is that terrifying? One zombie in a city used to mean you were pretty much fucked...now its a minor inconvenience, and the real difficulty is convincing the authorities that zombies exist.
  3. Much easier to put the fire out at the bottom of the hill too...carrying a full extinguisher up a sand dune would not be fun.
  4. Try looking for a Regal...same piece.
  5. Been there for I think 3 years now...I post as Avenge there, minus the "r" from here...never drink and forum register. I'm paranoid about corrosive ammo...I've seen some Mosin barrels turned into sewer pipes LITERALLY overnight from not being cleaned. Not mine, I use Ed's Red and that gets EVERYTHING out of a barrel.
  6. Hate to say it, but it did air in the US...about a week before the FIA announced that the United States Grand Prix wouldn't return in 2007. I saw it ONCE on Speed late at night.
  7. Anyone have any idea what the engine is? I'm not a repost nazi, but it is...and whoever posted it back when had what the engine is as well.
  8. The non-turbo 6.2 was made entirely of compressed failure.
  9. Wait a minute...I didn't see anyone horribly over-reacting to a "ghost" appearing, for the millionth time, JUST where the camera happens to NOT be pointed. So how does this show belong on the increasingly inaccurately named History channel?
  10. All it needs is Captain Slow launching it in reverse...
  11. I did this on my '98...ESSENTIALLY the same as your '05...and it's a stone bitch. Took me an entire weekend.
  12. http://www.metalsdepot.com ...lists 6061 plate at 203.69 for 12x12x2. Shipping would probably run 60ish bucks most of the LTL carriers, depending on how/where you want it delivered.
  13. Can't find the story now, but apparently one of the Hells Angels ended up adopting the puppy.
  14. That shape translates to modern design idiom pretty well...going with fixed headlights vs. the original flippers is a good idea. Powertrain info would be nice...
  15. Check with neighbors to make sure they aren't running their dryer. Turn on yours if they aren't. Tape piece of paper to broomstick. Hold other end of broomstick and place paper end near vent. The one that makes the paper flap is your vent.
  16. Madison had mine two days after I applied...love that adjacent county rule, I didn't have to deal with Karnes's idiots downtown. The Sheriff MUST either issue or deny within 40 days, starting with the first day AFTER you submit the application.
  17. Yeah, an M38 firing heavy ball ammo will give you a schooling on recoil...and muzzle flash. Any Mosin is fun...
  18. I think the last ones were limited to 135MPH...which is 215KPH.
  19. Same dealers at both places...try http://www.classicarms.com for an SKS, I think they still have some Yugos in stock for $250ish. Have to do an FFL transfer, but there are plenty of guys in the county who charge only 25-30 bucks to do it. The days of the sub-$200 SKS are over, I think.
  20. I'm a die-hard Mopar guy, and I'm throwing a huge "NO" on that ugliness, and a smack to the head to whoever built it for disregarding Mopar history.
  21. Try a Heim joint with a jam nut on the inner part of the tie-rod, attached to a loop or bracket on the chassis. It'll allow the rear suspension to move, and you can use the tie-rod to adjust toe.
  22. I thought that was the place that burned down last year?
  23. Oh great...first the brontosaurus turned out to be a camarasaurus head on an apatosaurus body, and now this. Next thing I know, it'll turn out that cavemen DIDN'T use pterodactyls as record players...
