  1. The minivan motor essentially IS the Stealth/3Kgt block...the main differences are the actual pistons and various accessory mounts. The big problem in getting power from the MMC is the utter lack of aftermarket support. It's a shame, they are a great motor.
  2. 3:14...easy wheelies, but I bet he loses some MPH on the top end.
  3. Awesomeness....these guys have to meet Rob Paravonian:
  4. And those are the weasel words that mean polishing the cylinder voids the warranty. There are reasons you won't find the words "Taurus" and "Customer Service" in a sentence that doesn't also include a lot of cuss words.
  5. And nine-year-old little girls who get to bleed to death lying on the floor of a grocery store...fuck anybody who thinks there is some sort of "glory" or "patriotism" in this. Step up and volunteer for her bullet next time.
  6. Just make sure she knows not to use the ENTIRE pack at once...seriously.
  7. Not available to the public yet, and already Oleg has a model posing with one... http://olegvolk.net/gallery/d/39161-1/kirsten_ksg_4271.jpg
  8. Neighbors kid is in Driver's Ed...this is NOT covered in their textbook (well, pamphlet)...seriously.
  9. "Dear Sir: your horse has diabetes." Just a gimmick for stadium drinkers. Kinda neat, but really I'd be more impressed if they did that with carbonated pop, it'd make more sense.
  10. Oh, just to throw this out: The Grove City library has a TON of old Chilton and Haynes manuals...lots of 70s and 80s imports, cars you've never heard of, and lots of old "tuner" books like these. You can get them with a Columbus library card, since Southwest is partnered with CPL, but for some reason you can't search for them using the Columbus library catalog.
  11. Ticket bait....and an excuse for tailgating idiots.
  12. I think that the patrol car was going through the intersection when the Soul made a left in front of it...there was a story on ABC6 about it, but I didn't catch the location, but there can't have been too many OHP cars in accidents yesterday.
  13. I've got some old books like that...its amazing the amount of info they contain that simply DOESN'T exist elsewhere. I've got one on "Swapping Your Studebaker V-8 Into Just About ANYTHING!"...
  14. Might as well get used to wearing a dress...he handed in the "MAN" card when he cheated and lied.
  15. Just my opinion, grain of salt and all that....take the shotty out and use it as is. Put a bunch of rounds through it, see what you like and what you don't...THEN worry about what you want to accessorize it with. And as far as "tactical" stuff goes...read the reviews online from others who have bought it. If 90% of the opinions are "OMG this is so badass looking" then odds are it doesn't actually WORK well.
  16. I've gotten out of a ticket...the cop actually said he was going to cut me a break because I made sure to do everything correctly when he pulled me over. The cop I run into almost every morning at the gas station likes to jokingly pick on me...he's jealous because I carry a "better" piece than the department lets him carry.
  17. Okay...just wish I could have been in the timing shack to see him get laughed at.
  18. I bet they use it as a mobile hunting/fishing hut...we are, after all, talking about a country that created a car with a trapdoor in the floor (for ice fishing, not peeing!) as a standard feature.
  19. Wagner, I remember those GATR trucks. They also ran them at Daytona (There's a short segment of a GATR truck crashing at Daytona in "Days of Thunder") and Talladega (!). There were several classes for single rear axles, a couple for double rears, and even a cab-over class. Check out European lorry racing sometime, they've had highlights for the week on Speed every so often.
  20. Locally brewed by Hosters: http://lamar.colostate.edu/~hillger/products/frostop.jpg Tough to find, though. Any time I see some, I buy the place out!
  21. There is usually a HF ad in the Sunday paper, or in the Val-Pac thing you get in the mail.
  22. I love my Finn...it's the tiniest hair less accurate than my Swiss K.31, and almost as good as my buddies National Match 1903...MOA all day, probably sub- if I really put the effort into working up a dead-perfect load instead of my current 97%ers. I've got a '42 Izhevsk 91/30 that'll throw 2.5inch groups at 100 yards all day with Czech silvertip ammo and the bayonet mounted. It's a total run-of-the-mill counter-bored refurb. But if I feed it anything else, the groups open up a BUNCH...It's nothing remarkable for accuracy, but they weren't INTENDED to be match rifles. Try some of each kind of surplus ammo, and find what works best for your particular rifle. Slug the barrel, work up a good load for it, and watch your groups tighten up. Heck, just going from the cheap surplus ammo to good commercial stuff will do a lot.
