  1. Zanesville Rifle Club has a NICE 300 yard range about an hour out from Columbus...south of Zanesville in Blue Rock State Park area. Really nice range with drop-down frames. It's a private club, and a little hard to get ahold of the people running it.
  2. Damn, had me concerned for a minute there...I was thinking some dumbass had carked a Supra.
  3. "Creep" was excellent! Liked the way they played with atonal notes in "Smells like Teen Spirit" though...that song works well down-tempo and minor...not really surprising when you think about it.
  4. Are you suggesting that a boxer would throw a fight? I am shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that you could possible believe that a participant in a "sport" so intimately connected with illegal gambling and organized crime would, or even COULD, consider doing such a thing.... That said, even back in the NWO days professional wrestling had better acting than that. Swear to God, that guy drop-and-faked like a World Cup player who wasn't alone on the field....
  5. Case being presented to the grand jury, at any rate. The shooting took place inside a car parked behind a store in a hinky area...probably more to it than the article has down.
  6. Rear spring and shock mount areas...the area under the rear window on notches can have hidden rust, look at it from underneath.
  7. Those things can LITERALLY blister your tongue...stick a toothpick in one, rub toothpick on your burger, and you'll sweat. The Indians (Desi, not native American) bred the plants not for eating, but to scatter around their garden areas to repel ELEPHANTS...
  8. Shit, we're talking about Peter North here...I'd insist on the ENTIRE car being steam-cleaned.
  9. I always make a day of it...go fishing in the morning, picnic lunch, shooting in the afternoon, stop at Ben & Joy's Restaurant for dinner on the way home. Take rt.62 home, and laugh at that uber-80s Tojan sitting in the dealership in Harrisburg.
  10. +1...had a freaky hot chick that dragged me off to that little tiny cemetery behind Cornfed Red's...I didn't realize it actually WAS a cemetery during, but afterward she insisted on reading the headstones to me.
  11. I was going to say a 98 Dodge Avenger front seat, but the guys that threw out 2g DSMs pretty much covered that (Avenger is a slightly longer Eclipse with a trunk, BTW). You'd think the back seat would work, but it does NOT! Minivans with both benches out and air mattress for the win! Best time was on a school bus...coming back from band camp (seriously...). All the other kids were up front singing the school song, we were in the back seat having fun.
  12. Deer Creek is 930-500, last shots at 445. Wednesday to Sunday.
  13. Helicopter and IR + radio = go ahead and run, we got room for more charges.
  14. It doesn't. Full-stop, period, end-of-line. I like what the Russians did with that boat full of Somali pirates a couple months back. "Okay, sail on...Ivan, where did you put all those high explo" *BOOM* "sives...never mind."
  15. I've made PVC stands before, and they work well. But...if any of the tubing sections takes a hit, it'll shatter about half the time. The fittings almost always do. The metal realtor signs usually just have a hole, or a dent. Pound it out with a hammer, or weld it closed if it's bad enough.
  16. Feed it with Sellier & Bellot 73gr FMJ, and it'll purr for you...7.65 Browning and .32ACP are pretty much the same thing. The cases are in fact completely identical, but the Europeans preferred the slightly more rounded ogive on the 73gr bullet, rather than the more pointed 71gr more common in America. It's a tiny difference, but if you get nose-up failure-to-feed with a European .32, odds are its the ammo.
  17. He's still there. And you still better stay off the grass between his pathways...he was lecturing some punk for bump-firing the last time I was there, and the kid decided to stomp his way across the lawn back to his car...whoops... I like the way he runs the range too...I think he really likes the job, and it shows.
  18. Wooden stakes are okay, but the berm area is stony ground...take a hammer to pound the stakes in with. You are only allowed to use bullseye or sighter targets, no silhouettes or human shaped targets, photos of politicians are RIGHT OUT... I like Deer Creek better, less crowded and the RO is a good guy. Bit of a drive though.
  19. Might as well keep it on if you aren't carrying tall things in the bed. It's semi-secure storage area...if nothing else, it'll keep stuff in the bed dry. And I'll take odds that you get a bit of an increase in fuel mileage with it in place.
  20. There's about a 3-4 month delay between filming the shows and actually airing them...they shoot a LOT of imagery, their production time is pretty long.
  21. All ZR-1 motors are hand-ASSEMBLED, dunno on the ZO6. The words "under the guidance of GM technicians" are key, basically you'd be using the assembly equipment and tools while the tech holds your hand. There isn't much in the way of actual hands-on involvement with modern engine assembly.
  22. Awesome...I always wanted to do a Dodge Shadow or an Omni like that.
  23. Probably depends somewhat on city and county ords, and mostly on the cop's mood. The one I got at the 2006 Mopar Nats was a simple "spinning tires/uncontrolled acceleration"...no points and $98. Same degree of smoke and circumstances have had other guys sitting in Crown Vic backseats while the cop used up a pen on their ticket.
  24. Ugly is the word. I just hope whoever owned that Falcon had them on there just as rollers...but if they went to the trouble of drilling a new pattern on the hubs, then probably not.
