  1. He's one of my favorite stand ups. I watch him every chance I get.
  2. GO BUCKS!!! Watching the LSU game right now, and bouncing over to Kansas during the breaks...
  3. Thanks, I'll register tonight or tomorrow. I drove it to work today... Starting to have second thoughts. I like this car.
  4. I've already got it on http://www.gcfba.net, haven't joined the others yet, and I didn't want to join just to make a for sale ad. I hate it when people do that. I might bounce over there to see if there are any WTB ads though. Thanks.
  5. I have my car listed on Craig's List here in Cincinnati, and I've avoided putting it on here because, well, I'm 85 miles away and I thought I might be able to get a little more from it down here. I've not gotten the response out of it that I had hoped, so I've dropped my asking price to $3800. I'm North of Cincinnati in Morrow. It's exit 28 off of I-71. If you're really interested, I'll consider meeting you somewhere between Cincy and Columbus. email at secondronseward@aol.com or rseward1@progressive.com or call at 513-562-7770. 6. I grew up wearing the orange and black of the Oklahoma State Cowboys... I'd love it if they won the only game of theirs I'm likely to see this year. Go Pokes!
  7. I'd agree that it would take quite a bit more than $40k to get me back into the area... I've got to imagine that there are on the road sales positions right here in Ohio that pay that kind of money, and the cost of living is much lower.
  8. Better than coming down route 7 through Northern VA, or the Toll Road. Bottom line is that getting into/out of DC is no picnic from any direction, but as for affordable housing, the Frederick area (last I knew) wasn't too bad.
  9. With a company car, and gas being paid, you could do it without too much problem as long as you don't mind spending a LOT of time in traffic. Frederick, MD isn't too bad for a commute, you'd shoot straight down I-270 to DC Metro. You'll be hard pressed to live alone comfortably on $40k anywhere closer than that. I wouldn't recommend looking anywhere North of DC, because Baltimore is close enough that you run into traffic going either direction no matter what. Pretty much anywhere you look inside of a 45 mile radius of the District, you can count on dropping between $1k and $1500 per month in rent for a decent apartment.
  10. Are they paying relocation expenses too?
  11. I lived in Loudoun County, Va. (Leesburg) for 10 years before moving back to Ohio, my parents, and my in-laws still live there. First, the Dulles technology corridor sucks for traffic. Leesburg is about 35 miles northwest of DC, when I was doing it, the commute to Chevy Chase, MD routinely took an hour to an hour and a half, and that was 5 years ago. There are places that you can go that the cost of living isn't so bad, but you're looking at a pretty gnarly commute to get there. I get to go back a couple of times a year, and every time I leave with the feeling that the entire area is a great place to visit, but I could never consider going back to live. I would highly recommend taking a long weekend to go down there and check things out. I'm very familiar with the MD, VA, WV area right there where VA goes pointy at the top, I too can offer some assistance if you have any questions.
  12. Sounds like a nice truck! We'll need pics though...
  13. At least you and your pops are alright... Sorry about your luck.
  14. Congrats on the purchase! I think you'll really enjoy it. I really like my 95 SE V6. Hopefully I'll get to start driving it again soon, once I've got the rebuilt salvage inspection out of the way.
  15. I think after getting into it that it was simply a lack of use while the car was down waiting for parts that caused everything to lock up. The system pretty quickly recognized the lack of signal and disabled the TCS and ABS systems due to lack of signal. Doesn't matter now, it's broke for good!
  16. Took it out, did the "lose the part that's making it broken" mod, and everything is good to go now. No Traction Control, but I didn't have that before. Now it's off to get the OSP Rebuilt Salvage inspection.
  17. I'm pretty sure your truck's cleaner than my 'burban was.
  18. BTW, traction control doesn't work anyway, replaced the lt side axle with a non-abs part by mistake over a year ago. Haven't corrected that yet either.
  19. Checked the throttle body already, works fine. Traced the cable back to the TCS module, and worked it by hand, it is definately the issue. I might have to make another trip down to U Pull 'N Pay this weekend if I can't figure out how to get this thing unlocked. I suppose if push came to shove, I could replace the entire throttle cable with one for a non TCS car.
  20. That's the thing... After I hit the deer, I drove the car home about 20-25 miles. The next day, I drove it in to work another 22 miles, then a few days later I drove it home again another 22 miles. The way the TCS module is set up, there is a cable from the pedal to the module, then inside the module, there is a series of cams and pullies and such, then a different cable from the module to the throttle body. The current issue I'm having is that no matter how hard you push the pedal / pull the cable, the cams inside the module are not conveying the movement to the throttle body. Now, I know that this is a relatively recent development, because when I started it a couple of weeks ago, the throttle pedal and throttlebody were moving normally. From what I understand, replacing the module isn't terribly difficult, but is very pricey at around $600 for the part. I think I'm going to gut the module to get it unlocked, but I'm not sure exactly how.
