  1. Sorry I took so long to get back... Sounds like you've found what you're looking for, though. Just for what it's worth, I don't know what's making OD in my Accord not work, I think it's just broke. It still runs great through 1,2, and 3rd gear though.
  2. I've got an 88 Accord that runs good, but has no OD. Asking $700...
  3. Hey mike, I'll sell you my accord. Runs great except no overdrive. I've been asking $700. Oh, and the car is just north of Cinci.
  4. That sucks... Would've almost been better to not know, than to find it in that kind of shape. I'm sorry man.
  5. Check with your insurance carrier, some insurance companies won't insure any salvage titled vehicle for anything more than strictly liability at state minimums. Resale is HUGE! If it carries a salvage brand on the title, you can expect that the retail value of the vehicle is about half of the clean titled equivalent vehicle. For a project/trail/race car, it's probably not a bad way to go. If you're gonna be driving it regularly, do yourself a favor and find someone you trust to inspect it very carefully.

I've got an '88 Honda Accord sedan that runs and drives good as long as you don't try to use overdrive. It's an automatic and 4th gear is gone. Been driving it without with no problem. It has the typical rust, and the windshield leaks a bit in the rain, but it's an excellent beater for sure. $600.00
  7. Went to the Poconos on a family vacation... Pretty area, there's plenty to do in the summer time, not so sure about any other time, only been there once. We rented a jet ski, and went to the dirt track races.

  9. Royal Manor area in Gahanna will probably fit the bill pretty well. I just sold my house for $125,000 and it is one of the larger ones in the area and has a 2 car garage and fenced yard. I know there is a smaller house on the other side of the block that is currently listed I think for $117,900, but I don't think it has a garage. The really good thing about Royal Manor is that you can list Gahanna schools, and when it comes to resale, schools can be a big swing factor. I know there are several houses in my neighborhood for sale, and like it was stated before, some of them have been on the market for a while. The neighborhood was built from '60 or '61 to about '63-'64. Most of the houses have fenced yards, and you have really easy access to Easton.
  10. Bump, stuff's gotta go! I'm coming back to Columbus tonight and will be available most of the weekend to help load if necessary.

  12. pretty standard, i can lay down completely on it and I'm about 6'0. I'd say it's about 7 feet long or so. I'm in Cinci right now, so no access to measurements.
  13. I'm working with a shop on a customer's car, a lightly modded 2004 WRX STi. We had this vehicle at a shop here in Cinci, and through the course of some unfortunate circumstances, had to do a lot of additional work to the front end of the vehicle. To make a long story short, the battery was disconnected, and for what ever reason, the turbo timer is not working properly. It is getting power to the timer itself, and the timer counts down, but the engine is now turning off with the ignition switch instead of continuing to run while the timer counts down. I'm trying to help out my shop here and hoping someone may have come across something similar. To my understanding, everything seems to be wired properly, and my shop had no reason to mess with anything relating to the timer unit, but maybe cut a wire? Dunno. Any ideas?
  14. Sorry for the delay, haven't checked the board in a while. I'll try to remember to send them to you tonight.
  15. I have pics now, can e-mail upon request.
  16. The thing about that site is that if you read the comments, a lot of those pics are sent in by guys that are trying to rectify the situations but the current owners won't come off of the cars. I could send in pics of my garage right now, and my uncle's as well. Only difference is that I do have plans to start my restification of the one I've got probably in the next year or so.
  17. I just got my car back from Scott last night, and wanted to drop a note to say that I'm thrilled with the way I was taken care of and will not hesitate to send work his way. I've taken a job in Cincinnati, and until I sell my house, I'm commuting between Columbus and Cinci. A week ago today, on my way in to work (in Cinci) I lost oil pressure in my Honda, and self diagnosed a blown oil pan gasket. I pulled it in the shop here on Friday night and replaced the gasket only to find out that it didn't fix the leak. As a matter of fact, it didn't do anything to the leak, not even a little bit. I ended up nursing the car home that Friday night by stopping every 40 miles or so and adding 1/2 to a full quart of oil until I got home. I took the car over to Scott on Monday night (after 9:00 due to my schedule) and Scott was there to meet me and B.S. for a little bit. I explained what was happening, and told him the only thing I could think of to leak in that part of the engine was the crank seal. Once in to it, He made note of some other things that could be taken while he was in there. In the end, my 257k mile Accord got all new accessory drive belts, timing belt, crank seal, water pump, and the real source of the leak, the oil pump replaced. It was really an unexpected expense, and something that I really wasn't prepared for, but Scott took real good care of me and didn't put as big of a dent in my wallet as he could have. Thanks a bunch Scott!
