  1. Truck's looking good!! Get that turbo kit yet?
  2. Alright, here's a little background. Last April, I hit a deer with my 95 Contour SE. The damage wasn't too bad, but the car was totaled anyway because, frankly it wasn't worth too much. I elected to retain the salvage on the car and took it home. It sat in my driveway untouched until last weekend when I finally got it together and bought the parts I needed to get it through the OSP inspection to get the rebuilt salvage title. I got the parts, got everything installed, and went to take it for a drive. This is where things get messed up. It would seem that since I drove it last (months ago) the Traction Control System module has locked up. Is there anything I can do to get it unlocked, or am I pretty well screwed on the deal? I'm not sure how it happened either, like I said, Sunday was the first time the car left the driveway since I bought my Camaro. I have gone out to start it a couple of times since the accident, but never went anywhere. Any ideas?
  3. It really is more sentimental than anything else at this point. My uncle bought the car in 1978, and ended up blowing up the engine he had put in it in 1982. The car hasn't seen the road since then. He's managed to hang on to it all that time, through three weddings, and three divorces, and now he's decided it's time for some new blood. I've had it for about a year now and moved it from C-bus to Cinci. Now that we've finally pretty well settled in, hopefully I'll get to start throwing some money at it soon. Even in it's current (mostly complete but needs total restoration) state, it carries a general value of about $5-7k. Fully restored and numbers matching would put it up to $50-70k.
  4. I only saw one fox body, but then, I wasn't really looking for them.
  5. '68 Chevelle SS396 - Original SS 4 spd car, no longer numbers matching as the original engine is long gone. Currently has a .030 over 65 396 block, and a Muncie M-21 sitting in a box on the passenger floor board. Since the car is no longer numbers matching, I'm not too concerned with building it the way I want it which will include a 500+ ci bbc (it'd be a shame to put anything less than a big block in it) and an M6 tranny. Currently, the car is sitting in my garage waiting...
  6. Went to U Pull 'N Pay down here in Cincinnati last weekend. They charged $2.00 to get in. Get a wheelbarrow, put your tool box in it, then you have to walk the yard. The thing that was really nice about this yard is that they inventory all of the cars in the yard. That's not to say that you're guaranteed to find what you're looking for, but it is more than Pick 'n Pull does. The website saved me an unnecessary trip to Columbus just by indicating that they had 6 Contours in the yard. I'm pretty sure I saw a couple of Cherokees down there, but it'll be a bit more of a haul for you.
  7. This past spring I lost two grandmothers and a grandfather all within 5 weeks of one another. It's rough, I'm sorry for your loss but you're right, all it takes is a few moments to give close friends and family a call just to say "Hey, I'm thinking about you." Things can change in an instant.
  8. Mine are 215/60R15, Dunlop GT Qualifier, at least half the tread left, $50 for the pair.
  9. I've got two at home, I'll check the size later, might even be able to get pics for ya.
  10. I'll see if I can get someone to pick it up for me... Hey Ben (1TrueSS), Help me out? I'm not sure when I'll be up there again.
  11. Stock is dual outlet, but I could deal with a single for a while at this price.
  12. Where are you? I'd like to take this off your hands, but I'm down near Cincy.
  13. Wow! What a transformation! Nice work, hope it pays off for you!

  16. I've been on all day today, refreshing every 45 minutes to an hour... I log on at least once a day though.
  17. I'll be up there tonight unless my plans change. I'll pick up a couple then.
  18. Thanks guys, I'll get some more pics up once I get a chance to get it really cleaned up and looking nice. Can't beat it for the price, I gave $3k for it.
  19. Let me know when and where, I'll come pick 'em up. Thanks!
  20. I appreciate that, but the cloth ones I pulled out of mine are actually in better shape than that mostly. I hadn't thought about checking the list for replacement seats, I'll check it out down here. Thanks Scott!
  21. I've been wanting another F-body since I let my last one go 7 years ago. I found this one on Craig's List with 158k miles. Bought it from the second owner who bought it in 95 with 26k miles. It's gotten Mobil 1 oil changes every 3k since. Mods consist only of a K&N drop in filter, and a Hurst shifter. Since I bought it I've removed the headliner in preparation for re-covering, replaced the water pump, and swapped the torn and shredded stock seats for a pair of 94 Grand Am seats that I'll make do with until I can reupholster the stock ones.
