Congrats on the new hours! I'm typically home by 1 or 2 but haven't had the motivation to work in the garage lately. I have a torpedo style heater that works well but I haven't had any pressing projects lately. Once it warms up a little I'd like to play with my new plasma cutter. It's still in plastic

Thanks Tim, what have you been working on lately?

I was thinking mortise and tenon but that would require the buyer to own several larger clamps and have to glue it up. I could also do through mortise and tenons with a peg so it could be knocked down/assembled with no tools. To keep the cost/labor down I would probably just predrill everything for Pocket screws and supply the buyer with the screws and a square head driver. Most people at least own a drill.

Thanks, Nyall. I actually just made that same thing for David..minus the glass holder part. That's easy enough to add

Was that link supposed to be cedar? Or do they have oak as well?

Also, you're not going to find 5/4 2" strips. If you just need a glued up plank of oak in a certain size, lmk

Woodcraft or Woodwerks. You need 5/4 lumber. Woodwerks has a greater selection. I think Menards here has 5/4 up on the second floor, not positive.

I can run them through. I'd advise leaving the leaf about 3-4 inches long as I haven't dialed in the snipe yet. Other than that, no problem
  9. It fires up fine and the speakers, etc work. The throttle isn't working. Here is the sensor. The black pick ups on top slide over the metal disc. If I jiggle it around I hear it rev up but it's not working when bolted in place. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01/31/9b2d68b3a34109194c30a5e3aea0030c.jpg I'll screw around with it some more but someone come get this thing. $400

http://andersonsinc.inserts2online.com/main_m.jsp?drpStoreID=38 Their coupon changes every week. About once a month it is 20% off one item up to $50 off. You can just show them your phone or they usually have ads sitting by the entrance

I love it so far. Being able to switch back and forth between spindle and belt Is great.

For instance my 20v sawzall is $119 at lowes and HD, I paid $72 at Andersons.

Look at the lithium ion dewalt and Milwaukee sets. You can buy the bare tools at Andersons cheaper than anywhere. Plus you can use their monthly 20% coupon. Once you have the set with batteries you can just add on as you need them. Reps come in twice a year and drop off a boat load of bare tools for those two brands.
  15. It should be. It worked fine when I unplugged it last. I can fire it up Sunday when I'm back in town.
  16. Looks great. How big can you go?
  17. Check out Worthingview off Linbrook and Snouffer. Worthington schools. Low traffic. Columbus taxes. And I'm surrounded by 300-500k houses within a few hundred yards

    Garage Lift

The ones I've worked on all had sliding jacks in the middle. Something like this... http://www.dannmar.com/dannmar-products/four-post-lifts/Major-D-12-4-Post-Car-Lift/DRJ-6-rolling-bridge-jack-fullview.jpg

Oh and no clue what it's priced at. It's a request pricing type place. I know it'd be 1500 all day if it was half as sturdy and said Crate and Barrel on it

Kinda what I was thinking. Yeah $700 is nuts. The best part is that it was put together with fucking pocket screws. That's like having Underground Racing build you a stage 3 and using those janky worm clamps on the intercooler piping.

Side table I made for a friend's parents. They were quoted over $700 for this from a local "Amish" store. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01/16/6900dbe38911295f3ce90568ba8dc1c4.jpg

What you guys think this could sell for? I'm debating making it but I don't have a place for one. It looks like a fun project but I don't want it to just sit in basement. Thanks for any input http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/16/01/16/afc55ea71ce99e6fd503c5a0493b9e7e.jpg
  25. That was my original plan but too many projects going on right now
