  1. For anyone that's interested in reloading, pick up the book, 'The ABC's of reloading', and read it. It will explain everything.
  2. Thanks. What you see on the table was ~$2,700. I've got another $1,200-1,500 worth of stuff to order from Midway, and the stuff to automate it will probably be another 1,200 or so. I'm sure I'll easily have over $5k in it by the time I'm done. And in order to manufacture ammo for commercial sale, I believe you'd have to have a Type 6 or 10 FFL license. That's not to say I won't help friends out when they want. :bangbang:
  3. .223 cases, misc. brass, tumbler media, 2lb. pistol powder, (500) 230gr. .45RN, media separator. Both I and my dad still have a crapload more brass all over the place. My plan is to start out with .45ACP because it’s an easy caliber to reload and it’ll give me a chance to get a feel for the press. http://i47.tinypic.com/xc2lia.jpg I’ve currently got 2 cans full of this stuff, and I’m pretty sure my dad’s got a few more cans stashed somewhere. http://i49.tinypic.com/1zgb69c.jpg I’ve also got more shit inbound from MidwayUSA.; a single stage press for precision rounds and test loads, case prep station, powder charge station, ammo cases out the wazu, manuals, case gauges, calipers, chronograph, and some other crap I’m sure I’m forgetting. I already need a bigger bench. This one was built with the intentions of it being temporary. Who else reloads on here? Let’s see some benches. I’m always looking for new ideas. :bangbang::bangbang::bangbang:
  4. My dad's present to me for passing the NCLEX-RN and walking right into a badass job. http://i48.tinypic.com/rkx56t.jpg Nothing is setup yet. I just finished bolting it to my freshly-made reloading bench. Dillon Precision XL650. ~1,200-1,500 rd./hr. http://i46.tinypic.com/33a3seu.jpg I'm currently 'fully' setup to reload .308,.223, and .45ACP. I've got a new toolhead and powder resevoir/throws, and powder-level alarm for each caliber. My dad also gave me his old Lee .40/10mm, .44spl/mag, and .38spl/.357mag dies, so I could reload those as well, if I wanted. But, they're old and rusty so I think I'm just going to replace them. http://i47.tinypic.com/2rxtjf8.jpg Toolheads, stands, powder resevoirs, alarms, and Terminator scale. http://i46.tinypic.com/aetfgl.jpg Tumbler and electronic case feeder. Dillon forgot to pack the clamps that hold the casefeeder on, so I'm still waiting on those to arrive. I've also got all 4 shellplates that Dillon makes for the feeder so I can run any caliber through it that I want. I'm researching bullet feeders and planning on fully automating the whole thing. All I'll need to do when I'm done setting it up is fill it with components, flick the 'ON' switch, and supervise it while drinking some beer. Talk about ultimate laziness. http://i45.tinypic.com/2lie7g8.jpg More to come...
  5. You WILL NOT find a better gun for the money. They've damn near doubled in price though in the past 2-3 years. Glad I bought mine when I did, though.
  6. Saw this coming when he didn't change his habits after his first PE. Sad news, as I really liked that guy.
  7. Remember to take the # of guns that the company claims that the safe will hold, and divide it by 3. That's how many it will actually hold.
  8. If she ends up being a nurse there, then she gets privileges/responsibilities by default. Hospitals don't close for bad weather, so healthcare workers have to be there.
  9. The building would collapse around them, and Mary Jane would find out Spiderman's true identity.
  10. I have to go, regardless. On the other hand, I always have an excuse to be out on the roads when I want to play during a lvl 3.
  11. What does Spiderman think about all this?
  12. Looks like it'd be fun getting a mag in.
  13. I've never understood why people shovel their driveways. That shit will melt eventually.
  14. It's not so much the hunters, but the indigenous people themselves. Those countries have a serious problem with poaching. As I'm sure you can figure out, poaching of an animal brings in $0 for the country. If some rich shmuck wants to pay $30,000 to hunt one, then that money goes towards raising 3 more lions. Which is a good thing. Though, I do agree on the part-time 'hunters' being a bunch of pussies. 'Hunting' something that's inside a fence, isn't hunting IMO.
  15. The Warthogs aren't known for their reliability. I gotta admit they do look sweet, though. I wish they worked, because I'd own one if they did.
  16. Ding ding ding! I'm not sure though how the courts would handle this one, if you did have to shoot him. You're technically instigating the situation, which is a no-no in self defense situations, but it's also your job. I'm also going to agree with Copperhead, in that, you should try to be as tactical about it as possible. Yea, I know that won't always work, but it could save you some future trouble.
  17. I'm all for the Popo carring some AR-15s loaded up with some M855.
  18. Just so I can clarify, the whole heater fires up just fine; blows as it should, but then shuts off after a few seconds w/ a big cloud of smoke? If so, it's definitely the photocell. As for the price of the part, I can't remember exactly. I'm wanting to say $20ish. It's nothing fancy. Just a 2-wire deal. It's purpose is to 'read' the flame to make sure; 1. it's on, and 2. it's the right temperature. If it's dirty or faulty, it thinks the flame is gone or fucked up, and shuts off the heater. The cloud of smoke you see is all the unburnt fuel being forced in as the motor shuts down. You really can fix it yourself. It's like 8 screws, unplug 2 wires, replace sensor, then reassemble. It's about a 5 minute job, if that. Here's a link to the basic guts of a multi-fuel heater. You can see in the parts breakdowns where the photocell is. This probably isn't your exact model, so the part number listed won't work, but they're all basically the same. http://www.desatech.com/manuals/Construction%20Heaters/113282-01.pdf Here's what I'd do if I were you: 1. Take it apart, and clean the photocell. Just wipe off the 'eye' with a soft cloth. See if that will fix it. (You don't even have to spend the time putting the lid back on. Clean it, put it back in place, and see if it fires up. 2. If that doesn't work; replace it. P.S. - I don't work for my stepfather's company anymore, but if you get me a make/model, I'll get you a part #/price.
