  1. 90 civic hatchback motor around 100k miles, body 220k newer everything brakes, radiator, motor, trans, 2 tires $650
  2. Thanks for the sites Ramathorne, that z31.com is very informative and easy to look through! As for modding, first i need to replace the clutch, tires and do some basic things (oil, complete chassis lube, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, brakes, blah, blah, blah....you get the idea. after that, cone filter, upgraded piping and larger throttle body and go from there. I do have some questions about boost controllers, it is my understanding that they help maintain smooth operation of the turbo and allow for certain adjustments. i looked around on the web and wow was i in for it, there are sooo many to choose from. How do i know which one to get/works best with the car, etc?? I dont want to spend too much and i dont need to be able to guide missles with it(or do i?!), any suggestions? and for the love of god please dont say google...
  3. purchased this car from StreetRacer434, Mike http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15857&highlight=300zx Its in pretty good shape for being about 20yrs old, im really excited about getting it going, Mike told me all that it needed was a clutch http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17242&highlight=300zx its gonna need some new tires, some dry rot, mostly on the front tires, but it was sitting for a while so...anyway its in really nice condition the paints good interior just needs a lil cleaning and only 94k original miles on it, im really excited on my recent purchase and hope that everything goes as smoothly as i hoped it would. took a couple pictures with my phone so they arent the greatest but here they are! http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/1236/ontrailer7oi.th.jpg bringing it home http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/5859/front4dv.th.jpg front http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/4828/engine6sz.th.jpg little engine shot http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/3329/int3ud.th.jpg the completely stock interior, needs some electrical work the digital gauges dont work, supposedly a common problem http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/1064/rear2gp.th.jpg and there it is...
  4. I'm really excited about purchasing an 86 300zx turbo off the board. I know a fair amount about cars and have been able to fix any problem that has come up on my cars and many friends cars. However i have never changed a clutch before. ususally if i dont know how to repair/replace something i just ask my uncle, hes a gm mech and transmission specialist, but he is very busy right now and wont have time to help me. If any one has the tools and knowlege to help me replace the clutch i would be willing to pay/buy beer for any help. My tools are some what limited, no air tools or anything cool like that but i have the tools that every mechanically inclined person should own. If no one is able to help i will have to wait about 2 weeks untill my uncle is free, i would rather not wait but, ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Also when i spoke with my uncle he said that the fly wheel or converter dont remember which, would need to be grinded, any info on that would be cool too(why, where, what?!). Im looking mostly for help but any one with useful info would be great too. Thanks,

  19. I was looking to keep the whole thing as a set. Like Assured said, you just have to flush the cooling system really good with freshwater to prevent corrosion. the manual i have has guides for things like that.
  20. Yeah ive only seen two other stand-ups on the water since i bought these. two red, identical looking, on alum creek, thats where i ride them, took them to dillon lake a couple times, less crowded, way more fun than the sit down, yeah if i dont sell i'll let you know would be nice to ride with some other stand-ups, sit downs always just wanna go top speed or sit still
  21. 84 Kawi JS440 with complete Westcoast engine, and exhaust, engine was rebuilt 6-7 years ago and sat for 5 of those years, unpainted primer gray complete starts right up, runs super smooth 88 Kawi JS550 with a 93 engine, or so the prev owner claims, lots of power, i cant ride it standing up at full throtle, Shiny red, looks nice, small unpainted fiberglass patch. Both will need batteries about 30 bucks each, and the red one will need the carb cleaned. Both have clean titles, one will need reregisted this year. Drunkendubber has ridden them before, both are standup models obviously, owned both for roughly 3 years, lots of fun, took them out maybe 2-7 times the last couple of years, also have lots of extra parts, and Haynes-like repair manual. lots more ask questions. If i sell them my starting price would be around $900 for the whole thing (both skis, trailer, all parts, manual, etc) Thanks, John
