  1. Sony MDRXB950BT

Those look pretty nice and it would match my TV. I'll have to see if it can come with a receiver of some sort.

We have a TCL TV w/ built in roku and it has a headphone jack on the bottom of it. I think it automatically mutes the TV when something is plugged in. IDK if it works with all TV functions/inputs, or just the Roku apps, as we've not used it. I'm also not sure if any of the standalone Roku support that. But, seems like it could be worth looking into.

I don't have any audio jacks and it's not Bluetooth-equipped either. I have a sound bar with Bluetooth, but I don't think it'll do it the way I need it to.

  2. You're welcome. I had the place ten years, but really didn't have it in use the last three, since my office closed. But there were many good times: CR holiday parties, an open house and book signing for car guy/author Steve Ulfelder, free dyno pulls, CanAm Spyder test drives, stunt motorcycle riding, catered open house with DJ, snow drifting, many nights of movies, foosball, Forza, and great conversations lasting into the wee hours.

I doubt I'll be able to (or even should) replicate it here in Frankfort, but I can certainly host a big CR barbeque at some point. But I'm going to need a few months to get this house under control before I can be very active in the car scene.

Thanks to my many friends of CR for enriching my life. :)

Thank you! You definitely helped make this community what it is today. It's been a long time since I've been to your place, but I do remember the open houses and the dyno day. I think I have the video Tim took of my old Mazda on the dyno from that day.

  3. I've never heard the sirens go off in the 8 years we've lived in my house, and we heard Hilliard as well as Dublin's sirens going. Wife was unnerved but the radar showed us in the gap between the one that tore through Dayton and the one that went through Marysville and Delaware. It was definitely interesting to see the intensity. Seems like storms are going to be fun this year.
  4. Motorcycle jackets are gone. Three XL motorcycle helmets remain. Gumball dispenser and motorcycle accessories available (tire repair kit, XL rain suit, two pairs of heavy gloves), road barriers available, nothing for sure on sofa and chair. Anyone who posted to the thread calling dibs, your items are reserved for you (Tim, Benner, Fiji ST). Thank you Rich, Aaron and Carl for your early pickups.

Thanks. Are you sure I can't give you some money for it??

  5. The Pyle is a receiver (tuner, pre-amp, and amp) and is about two years old. Do you want a mesh jacket or a normal one? Normal ones have removable liners as well.

Lights are yours, all in good working order.

Bag End speakers, stands, and cables are yours.

Only worn a dozen times. It's yours. It's XL.

See if someone will pick up for you. Saturday when I leave everything remaining is thrown in a dumpster.

I can come any day this week since I work 5 minutes away. When are you going to be around?

  6. He won't have any issues with professional eclipse. He's been doing it for a long time and guarantees his work for life.

He'll be fine. That guy is a good dude and works hard to get everything as perfect as he can. He did my Focus and spend hours trying to get my back window done as it's tricky to get smooth for some reason.

  7. Starting to get into Whiskey. What’s the best place in town to get stuff like Blantons and others that giant eagle doesn’t carry?

Kroger usually has a decent selection up here in Delaware surprisingly, but you've got to be there when they get their delivery or your SOL. I was able to get some Buffalo Trace recently, but I had a friend find me some Eagle Rare a guy was selling on a Facebook group after a month of running to different stores. Rarer stuff is going to be tough to get.

Best thing to do is find a local distributor and become friends, or find the groups on Facebook to join and keep an eye out for anything you'd like. Might pay a few extra bucks, but it might be worth it instead of waiting and driving all over the place to find it.

*Edit* Four Roses Small Batch and Single Barrel are both very good and seem to be more plentiful.

  8. Has anyone heard or know of anyone that had an Alfa Romeo Giulia? Specifically the one with the turbo 4. Just curious if Alfa still carries that reputation of unreliability.

The only thing reliable about those cars is the continuous depreciation.
