  1. He is good, but not a big game player. He did well in that game, but not when it REALLY counts. He will never win a championship.
  2. The Rabbit hasn't really ben acknowledged by the OP, so I think its safe to say its not in the cards for him. To each his own.
  3. The 2.5 Rabbits are much more reliable and cheaper to maintain than VW's usual turbo engines. Also, if you are going to the dealer for ANY of your regular maint, I pitty you. As long as you have the receipts of the maint parts such as oil, filters, etc, your warranty is fine. The ONLY services that I would go to anyone for would be the transmission flush, cooling system flush and brake system flush. Oil, filter, air filter, cabin filter, fuel filter, spark plugs etc are all 5-45 minute jobs. I will agree that in general VW's are more expensive to maintain over the long haul, you do get much more out of their cars than you do the competition. IMHO of course, and I am an avid Audi/VW fan. So far I have only NOT done the DSG service myself.
  4. The correction of the A4 estate........I did it first........:plol
  5. Its an A4 Avant, and they are bigger than anything in their class from Mercedes, BMW and Volvo on the inside. The Volvo's might have a bit more space directly behind the hatch glass because of their almost vertical rear. The Audi's is more sloping and much better looking. The Volvo V50/V70 is a great choice as well as the A4 avant. However much more expensive than the cars he was interested in. 12-15k........

Well if the shoe fits................... Anyway, how long have you had the B5? Miles? Swing wheels? Reliability of an older Audi without warranty? etc.
  7. Don't see why they wouldn't. They do brake calipers, wheels, engine parts, pretty much anything you want them to..........I think.
  8. The only thing Sirius is good for is Stern. The sound quality of sat radio is not awesome. Sounds grainy, tin-y etc. I have had it 3 different times, 2 aftermarket units, one oem built in unit and it always sounds the same. CD quality is much better. I would like to hear anyones sat radio that says otherwise. With that said, I really hope they don't go away for 2 years. Stern's contract is up then, so they can die then if they want.

You could try to find one that has the same wheels, and pictures of the lights that are different lol. You do have to get "accepted" into this site, its not open enrollment.

I would find some pics on google of a car like yours in the time being. Pics are pretty much required. A little more detail, and some pics would be great. Audi/VW FTW
  13. Yeah I forgot about the R8, and I would put it at #1 as well. The C6 RS6 would also be above the C6 S6........... But yeah, more about Fits and Rabbits lol
  14. The problem with the gov is that it would take a TOTAL restructuring and renovation of the way people think to get any REAL change.
  15. I don't think many would disagree with that, however no matter how many restrictions there are, they will get their money. Stock options, buy outs, anything. I think it is the general programs and course of action the administration is and wants to take that is upsetting people.
  16. Big X2. The C5 RS6 is cool, but in the end it is an old car. It looks old on the inside, is MEGA expensive to drive daily etc. I would much rather have the C6 S6. In recent memory, the US spec Audi's that I like the most are in this order: 1. B7 RS4 2. C6 S6 3. B7 S4 4. B6 S4 (Nogaro) 5. D3 S8 6. B5 S4 7. B7 A4 8. C5 RS6 Of course the order would be different if I had to pay for them, or repair them lol. Edit for change in order and counting is too hard.
  17. I would swap out the A4 with an RS4, and the D2 S8 for the C6 S6. Of course if money was no option lol. I REALLY want to get a C6 S6. They are BAD ASS. I much prefer them to the S8.
  18. I had mine for 8k miles and 0 problems, wifes is about 8k with 0 problems. Since it was my only car, I was NOT happy with the power after giving up my MKV GTI. Great cars though.
  19. They are very big on the inside. We both really liked the mini S, but I could not fit comfortably in the car, and the inside ergonomics made both of us want to punch BMW.
  20. The Rabbit it MUCH bigger on the INSIDE than either the mini or the fit. I would suggest the rabbit. 170hp I5, 5 speed manual, good mileage, fun to drive, HUGE on the inside, 2 or 4 doors, lots of options etc. We were just looking at 4dr rabbits and they were around 12k with 15k miles on them, all had the CPO 6 year 74k btb and powertrain. 2dr versions are cheaper. I bought my NEW base 2dr rabbit 5 speed for 14700. They are tops of their class. Wifes Rabbit: http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r247/A4SHO/JesssNewRabbit019.jpg The fit is tops in its class too however. The smaller cars such as the Versa, Yaris, Fit, etc.
  21. Yep, with some obvious old vette as well.
  22. Not true. He can deny the charge. It happens all the time. Paypal is NOT a secure money transfer site. There are restrictions. Ebay does offer seller protection though. I would set up an ebay auction if he needs to pay through paypal. And make him pay all fees.
  23. I would advise against paypal. Unless you form an ebay auction, you ARE NOT protected. The buyer can say that he never authorized the charge.
