  1. lol, This is the thread you were talking about earlier. Not fair poll IMO The above pictured Gen 2 V does NOT do the car justice. Replace #2 with this photo and re run the poll: http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/ctsv_zpsfm4wltux.jpg
  2. It's not that I think glasses are "uncool" or any of that stuff. I just rather actually fix the problem. From a financial standpoint, I would assume over the next 15 years it would cost me more to use corrective lenses or contacts than what I can pay for Lasik now and be done with it.
  3. Figured I would see if anyone here has had Lasik, and could recommend where I should go. What kind of real world prices have you paid too? I know I see commercials for crazy cheap like $400 an eye, but I'm sure there is a catch. My vision is pretty awful, and I have managed all these years without getting corrective lenses or anything so I don't even know how bad they really are. I know the last time I renewed my license, I basically guessed during the vision test... I have to renew it again this year, and don't think I will get lucky enough to pass again.
  4. Georgia car... they (usually) don't have a NEED for all seasons. Lol
  5. The Industrial Revolution to me is just like a story I know called "The Puppy Who Lost His Way." The world was changing, and the puppy was getting, bigger..... So, you see, the puppy was like industry. In that, they were both lost in the woods. And nobody, especially the little boy - "society" - knew where to find 'em. Except that the puppy was a dog. But the industry, my friends, that was a revolution. Knibb High football rules!
  6. EKanoo doesn't mess around. Finally in the 7s with their GTR as well. I would love to have all of their cars. :megusta: http://i61.tinypic.com/mtm1wz.png
  7. Early E-gear drives like shit, and might need clutches more often. The 2009-2011 (CBA) are the same car (except the 2011 got the upgraded nav display) The 2012+ (DBA) has the newer front bumper, better tune, different suspension, larger turbo inlets. The 2012+ seems to start at 70k and go up from there. It might be another couple years before those cars touch the mid 50k mark. If your hesitation about a 2009 is the transmission (as most peoples is), I wouldn't even worry about it. The 2009 transmission problem was in the tune, not the hardware. The only hardware change was these little clips, that probably any 2009 still on the road has already had changed anyways.

    Hello :D

    :lolguy: Flawless victory
  9. Semi related... I would look for first gen Gallardos to get a LITTLE cheaper after TX2K Seems like R8s are the new "in thing" http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt305/undergroundracingsales/unnamedr8_zps1f56badd.jpg
  10. Well.... don't get me wrong... you CAN spend $80k on a used GTR.... But apples to apples if you were looking at the earliest gen (ie. 2009 on a GTR) you can pick those up in the 50s nowadays. So still quite a bit cheaper. Fairly certain an FBO GTR will beat a Stage one TTG as well. The TTGs that really shine are all atleast built motor, built trans cars, running $28 a gallon VP Import. Even a Stage 2 car with those mods you are looking at $70k in modding (plus the $80k for the car) to beat a $55k GTR with 10k in mods. For the record I LOVE TTGs.... but they are nowhere NEAR the bang for buck that the GTR is
  11. You sir, have impeccable taste. :fuckyeah:
  12. DO IT!! And I *think* these can be converted to AWD fairly easily. 1. Buy Gallardo 2. Send to Underground Racing 3. ?????? 4. Profit :gabe:
  13. We spent about 100k with Advance last year. If the part I need isn't in stock, sometimes I will order online elsewhere. But time is money... Saving a couple bucks on a part and having to wait a couple days (amazon prime) is not worth the down time IMO. Parts stores aren't going anywhere in the near future. The days of having an Advance, an Autozone, and an O'Reilly all within a stones throw however are probably nearing their end.
  14. Norwalk would be awesome. I would pay triple the normal (Trails) admission to run at Norwalk instead.
  15. Can't wait till the first CR track day this year.
  16. Lots of stuff plays a part in your premium. Distance from a fire hydrant, distance from nearest Fire station, construction method of home, materials used (like what kind of siding), source of heat, and potentially what kind of dog you have. That is in addition to things like your credit score, history of claims, likelihood of a claim in your area from a storm, area mine history, flood plain vicinity, etc. They more or less look at EVERYTHING and see what the likelihood of any claim would be along with the potential dollar amount of said claim.
  17. FWIW, most cable companies only broadcast in 60hz anyways..... Basically filming is shot at 24hz. The cable box turns it into 60hz (or 30hz if its a shitty box). Then your TV turns displays it in 60 120 or 240. But if the source is a cable box, anything above 60hz is generated from the TV. Although I agree with the premise of what you are saying. I usually disable any of that up-convert bullshit.
  18. Can't wait till the first batch of these go out of warranty, so I can pick one up on the cheap and mod the hell out of it.
  19. Why does it have to be factory boosted? If you want 650hp reliable and cheap, the answer is always boosted LSx. lol Reliable factory boosted @ 650hp leaves you with expensive engines. VR38, 2JZ, etc.
  20. I was really hoping for an event within a couple hours (ie Wilmington) but it looks like I'm gonna have to suck it up for a 5 hour drive one way or another
  21. I would LOVE to go to this event. But if the rules are the same as they are for the mile they are just too restrictive There are a handful of factory cars that will do 150 in the half mile.... Just sucks not having an localish outlet to legally go fast in street cars.
  22. If it's a catalytic converter, the warranty on those is longer. So it still may be covered. (again, depending on what the actual issue is) IIRC special emissions 96 months or 80,000 miles http://replygif.net/i/272.gif Yes. For real. Let me know what you want to replace it with. :fuckyeah:
