If I was on this site for business alone I obviously never would have posted that. I'm a member 1st and a Sponsor 2nd. I never came here for the purpose of doing business. I came here to talk racing, made a bunch of friends, and when they started doing business with me anyways I thought it was only right to try and support a group of people who supports me. If the site would suddenly ban "vending" I would still be here. There are plenty of business owners that will blow sunshine and rainbows up your ass to your face, and talk shit about you when you aren't around. I'm not that guy. That same honesty though, is why a lot of people prefer to do business with me. To be fair I made it a point to say you might be cool in real life and after reading his post, Tim sure thinks that is really is the case. My point to you was merely instead of trying to change the online world, why not try to slightly modify the way YOU act in it. I seriously think if you wouldn't have had as many condescending devil's advocate posts you wouldn't have received any of the backlash that makes you want to fundamentally change the whole place.

3,294 members, and you are the only one who's internet persona I really despise. You might be the coolest guy in the world in real life for all I know. But if this was my site I would do the exact opposite of what you posted just to keep "your kind" off the site.

My racing addiction started in like 1999 when I went to a track for the first time. Back then I was driving a 1985 Camaro Z28 (which I thought was the baddest ass car in the whole school parking lot ) This is a pic from those days: http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/rollinem_zpsb2610c2d.jpg My love of cars has never faded. My tastes may have evolved, but I always have and always will have a respect for almost every kind of car and racing. After a while I found myself being pulled toward turbo AWD cars (thanks fast and furious) and owned some of these: http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/P1000215.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/blueevo.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/29D82ED9-4FE8-453C-A959-4CEC6BCA0CB2-1872-00000202F7880211_zps6b57af4b.jpg The fastest of that group was the silver Evo, which I was able to get down to an 11.1 @ 130 After that I thought I needed something that looked less "boy racer" so I went back to my domestic RWD roots and built a terminator: http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/18ec7b5a.jpg That car was super fun... but I couldn't get it to ET worth a crap. It was a tire smoking machine. lol After that I decided I wanted to get a "jack of all trades" Something I could drag race, road race, drive across country or anything. That led me to my first GTR. With just bolt ons, I got the car to run a 10.1@137 and also did well at some auto-x events: http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/2014-08-buschur-010_zpsnkh405in.jpg Earlier this year however, I stumbled across a nice GTR that was extremely cheap due to having a blown motor. I decided to sell my black one, pick up the blue one, and do a real build. So far we have upgraded the motor and trans, and got the car down a 9.90@138 This winter the car will be getting a full turbo kit, which on it's highest setting should lay down 8.80s @ 160. I also intend on having a lower HP setting that I can road race the car with. Here she is so far: http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/7B170B7D-FB46-4AD9-BAEA-3370FB41A985_zpsnlcrnlgt.jpg

Track rental and you didn't bother to text me!

I think the decrease in the forum's activity is the result of a number of factors. The largest contributing factor (in my opinion) is just a matter of losing more members than we are gaining. I think the same problem actually plagues the entire "hobby". I hate to sound like the crazy old codger reminiscing about walking uphill to school both ways, but it certainly seems like the younger generations are producing less automotive enthusiasts. When I say "losing members" I don't think those guys are necessarily going elsewhere... I just think they have lost the interest, drive, or time for the hobby. The second thing might not be a popular belief.. but I'll say it anyways. I think we lost too much drama. I know, I know.. WHO wants drama? Well, I think everyone does whether they admit it or not. Some of the most active threads were centered around drama. Whether the drama was racing (JP vs the world), shop vs shop stuff, people banging other peoples GFs (thanks Phil), or flat out trolling (Gabe), those threads would blow up. When those threads blew up, more people were online, and while they were online they would usually find something on the site to post about. I think the revitalization of CR has to come from the same place where the need for CR started... the streets. (Metaphorically) I'm not saying everyone start street racing again (but if you do.. call me ) rather suggesting more track days and more real life interaction. Rather than keeping these get togethers small CR only stuff, try to get the new people to them and they will follow to the site. disclaimer: I understand that the track days and everything are A LOT of work. I also understand that a very small group gets shafted handling ALL of that work, so more track days might not be a viable solution currently.

If we still had rep, I would +1 Tilley right meow

Motor is built, and trans is built.... so gotta install real turbos this winter (still on stock now) and 8.90s in full street trim will be the goal next year.

I'm still not through the whole season yet, but have began wondering the same thing. Knowing that they already renewed for another season, I can only imagine that they will start telling the story of other cartels etc? At first I thought the subtitles would make me stop watching it, but now I think they actually made me get into the show more. I usually find myself doing a few different things while "watching tv" so before I know it, I've missed some bits and pieces of the show which actually ends up making me lose interest. So for me, forcing me to keep my eyes on the screen might actually be a good thing.

So who is watching Narcos on Netflix? I've only watched the first two episodes, but so far I love it. I'm glad I finally found something on there to watch aside from House of Cards.

So we really don't care about people dying... we just want to make sure it's not caused by a firearm. Check.

Fun graphic. Let's take guns out of the equation though and just look at intentional homicide rate. In that case the US falls down to #111. So 110 countries with a higher homicide rate. How can that be possible without them having all the evil guns though?? UNODC murder rates, most recent year Country Rate Count Region Subregion Year Notes Honduras 90.4 7,172 Americas Central I actually like this show a lot. It's one of the few I can watch, and have no idea what they are gonna do next. The only exception being the "surprise" that was obvious since episode 1.
