  1. Chart says "estimated" Package also shows it won't be available until 2016.
  2. Did they really post a made up dyno graph?
  3. Silver 1987 Camaro Berlinetta Saved up for two years cutting grass. She was a rag when I bought it, but after fixing it up it looked just like this: http://www.gmphotostore.com/images/53219380_pr.jpg No digital photos of that actual car though When I replaced ole Silver, I got my first digital camera that took 3.5" floppy LOL That was when I picked up big red: http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/rollinem_zpsb2610c2d.jpg
  4. It's one of OB Prestige's cars. They usually sponsor these events so I am sure we will get to see another Lambo spin-out vid soon enough, lol. Speaking of spinning out, Helms' UGR car did some 360s through the traps @ 225 MPH at the same event. His was supposedly caused by a tire failure. (can't find a good vid of it)
  5. I'm not big into the conspiracy theory stuff.... But I do remember that quite a few "gun guys" died in very strange ways pretty close to each other. Kyle, Noveske, and Ratliff (the guy behind FPS Russia) They also all happened shortly after Sandy Hook when everyone was talking "gun bans" and all that.
  6. I think he misspelled "left" :gabe:
  7. I am fully aware of that. That warranty however is NOT what most people think it is. Read up a few posts. Another member even commented that their dealership stopped offering Dinan products for the exact reason I commented on in the middle of the thread.
  8. I have witnessed factory techs attempt to prove an ECU was tuned, and fail in doing so. These were vehicles that I KNOW were infact tuned previously. It's a never ending cat and mouse game. Aftermarket finds a way to get something done undetectable, then the factories find a way to prevent that exploitation in the future. More often than not, you are correct though, even port flashes can usually be detected. This was what I previously thought, and I have come to find that it is not fully correct. See the Dinan comments above. Dinan packages sold by and installed by BMW dealers can still cause warranty issues.
  9. This isn't that big of a deal IMO My worry was never getting popped on a private range, it was getting pulled over on the way too one. Don't make youtube videos of shooting your sigbraced AR pistol with the brace at your shoulder and you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

  11. I should clarify. I don't disagree with Jones' reservation. I too am somewhat concerned about the potential issues, and want to make sure anyone getting this service is aware of them.
  12. It can be reverted back (at no cost)... but under close enough inspection you would be able to tell the case has been tampered with. Again.. this is no different than APR or Dinan. I am surprised to see you denounce a method that you have personally used and still recently recommended.
  13. Ok, this is what I have found out. Apparently the M5 ECU can not be simply flashed via a device like Cobb or ECUtek. Something physically has to be done to the ECU to allow the flash to happen. This is similar to APR in the manner that they flash a lot of Audis. So now the bad news... There is no way to guarantee your warranty doesn't get voided. I was long under the impression that Dinan would stand behind the manufacture warranty during a failure, but I am coming to find out that isn't 100% of the story. Dinan warranty just states that if it breaks Dinan will replace THEIR part not the broken one. They WILL replace collateral damage only if the dinan work or part is at fault. In the case of a manufacture defect (ie. an injector fails and the motor blows) the manufacture COULD potentially be assholes and deny the claim if they thoroughly inspected the ECU. Dinan could then deny the claim because the fault was not caused by anything they did. I have went through a very similar situation with an Audi, so I definitely want everyone to know POTENTIAL outcomes. From a legal standpoint thanks to the Magnuson-Moss warranty act, the manufacture has to PROVE that a modification caused the fault before they can deny or void warranty. I would like to think that BMW keeps this in mind. Because AMS has said they too would warrant any faults CAUSED BY THEM. But I have personally been told by Audi "Take us to Court then"... so YMMV
  14. I'll be finding out all the good details along with some pricing tomorrow. I know their guys are very proficient with Cobb... but I don't want to say for sure until I know 100%
  15. AMS/Alpha performance is now offering parts and tuning for BMW. Their Alpha 7 package for the M5 (intake exhaust and tune) is laying down 643 WHP :fuckyeah: Oh yeah... JET Auto is an authorized Alpha Dealer now too http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii37/jordancampbell2008/rsz_initial_m5_tune_dyno_test_comparison_zps9603b99d.jpg
  16. Per this article: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/ford/90019/ford-gt-supercar-storms-into-detroit#ixzz3OeqcNJtm Aventador prices???? Surely they jest....
  17. Cool picture: http://www.gtrheritage.com/uploads/monthly_01_2015/post-273-0-72815900-1421075647.jpg Kudos Ford
  18. Stick shifts are going the way of the carburetor and crank windows. That would be awesome, but I don't see it happening. Previous gen GTs are selling for almost double what they were when they were new :fuuuu:
