  1. We sold 1277 retail units last year. We aren't huge by any means. Ford classifies us as a "Select" dealer. The next category is "Contact" which is what Ricarts is. We delivered 3 new Shelby's last year, which was the most out of any Select dealer in the Midwest region. This one is gone though. I hope to be able to twist some arms and get more, but I won't know if that can happen for a few months atleast.
  2. If by common you mean posts and videos on the Internet complaining about it, then yes I agree. It's just as common as Glocks failure to eject problem.... Not very (although a google search sure does come up with plenty of complaints)
  3. Nice piece. After shooting one, I was sold. I will own one soon. The only complaints I have heard about these guns are from broke dicks that can't afford them. Not saying that's the case with you,.. Just pointing out that every complaint I have personally heard were never from owners, but rather their "shooting buddies"
  4. It's pretty much been covered but... Ohio state maximum documentation fee is the LESSER of $250 or 10% of the sales price. So for a $1000 car the max fee is $100. It is also correct that any dealer that charges someone a fee other than the "standard fee" that they usually charge (other than such fees subvented via manufacturers ie. X-plan) then they open themselves up for discrimination suits. At the dealers discretion they can however lower the sales price, basically eliminating the fee, albeit out of dealer proceeds. The buyers order will still contain the fee, but the out the door price would reflect the discount.
  5. .380 is semi auto The revolver is .38
  6. Yeh I caught that and put the Edit in my post reflecting it. Somewhere in the publication I linked should answer your question. I *believe* however if you have a legal (recorded) land contract, the new owner has the right to deduct the interest and not you. Now if you you don't have a recorded land contract, and you merely have a written agreement hinging on their ability to get a loan, that sounds more like a "lease-buy option" which is a whole different animal.
  7. http://www.irs.gov/publications/p936/ar02.html Edit: Misread your question. None the less, the correct answer should be found somewhere in that publication.
  8. Unfortunately Ford charges us a fee just to have the ability to order a Shelby. That only guarantees us one for the year. If I would sell it for invoice, it would be a net loss deal, even including the under the line money I receive from Ford. I honestly could sell the thing for MSRP to a "locator service" who will in turn sell it to another dealer, who will in turn put in on their lot for huge mark-up. I shy away from these transactions for two reasons. 1.) I hate dealers that do business that way. and 2.) It doesn't help me "earn allocation" for future units. The way Ford works is the more vehicles I RETAIL, the more I can order. If it were just about anything OTHER than a Shelby (that I had to pay a fee to even order) I would gladly order you a vehicle for invoice.
  9. I'm Jelly. Gorgeous car. Looks like you guys had a good time.
  10. Only a potato would give up a fine piece of automobile history like this for an AR:gabe:
  11. Not much at all. A couple different colors (really just different color names) and heated seats are standard.
  12. I appreciate that. I didn't mean it to come off defensive, just explanatory. Damn you Internet, and your lack of proper display of tone and inflection.
  13. Not trying to change your mind either Kirk. You have a bad taste in your mouth, and I would also. That goes for others such as Anthony too. I'm not putting this on here trying to "sell" anyone on Ford. I put it on here for anyone that was already intending on picking one up, to possibly get them one cheaper than they otherwise could (especially in the timeframe I can get this one)
  14. Yeh, rightfully so. It sucks that you ended up with one with issues. That being said, I see just about every make/model you can think of run thru the lanes as "lemon buy backs". It's not a problem attached to a brand. It's a problem attached to anything with 10,000 moving a parts and multiple computer controlled electrical systems designed and assembled by imperfect humans.
  15. Temporary insanity. Any father on the jury will have a really hard time convicting him.
  16. For anyone that doesn't know, I run a Ford dealership in Cambridge. I just found out today that we will get one of the first 2014 Shelbys to be built. We are looking at a March build date. I have to have my order in within the next two days. I figured I would throw the option on here if anyone was interested to get a deal (considering the market on these) for one that they would like custom built. I would need a deposit, and we would have to iron out the details by Wednesday. If you want a base, no option Shelby we would be looking at MSRP. If you add options to it, I could start dropping below MSRP up $1000 off. Other dealers are marking these up upwards of 10k. If you are interested feel free to call or text me at 740-229-9222 http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/wp-content/uploads//2012/04/Shelby-GT500-03.jpg
  17. I like the one you did. The ones I put the mine have red accents that go with the red stuff on the 10th anniversaries. Some people love em, some don't.
  18. All this stuff used to piss me off to no end. I have worked full time since high school. Even through college. At sometimes (including now) holding multiple jobs just to provide as best as I can for my family. I'd go to people's house that don't work, and they would have fuller fridges than me. A newer TV than me. Bitch about ONLY getting $9,800 back on taxes (meanwhile I owed damn near 10k for the year). It really struck a nerve. For some reason it hasn't bothered me as much this past year. I wouldn't trade places with any of them. Ive finally came to peace with the fact that I can only control what goes on in my life. The rest of it is just noise.
  19. I personally couldn't do it either. But I see how someone could.
  20. SRS though... I think the largest problem lies in the fact that the safety net is just too high. If your options are live on the system, or start working on "the first rung of the ladder" you live better on the system. I know quite a few people in guernsey county that get: their house paid by HUD $500 Free food via food stamps $800 Gas bill paid by HEAP $200 Free phone. $50 Free healthcare for the fam with no co pay $1200 (minimum value. I'm being conservative) Take all that x 12 for a annual value of $33,000 Then they work part time, not even all year to make sure they qualify for earned income credit and stuff. Make maybe 12,000 in the year. Then get a tax refund for $10,0000 So you are talking about someone NETTING 55k a year working next to none at all just cause they have a couple kids. Who would want to work a real full time job for a paycut?
  21. I mean, was it during actual service? I guess I am asking what happened. Didn't feel like reading all 50 pages of this abortion of a thread.
