Pretty sure we have, which may be why I had full confidence you could provide an intellectual debate. (Not sure if my desire for one last night was spurred by boredom, the few drinks I had, or my fear for humanity after reading every imstock2 thread) *unrelated side note - Jones doesn't teach much on economics. (I was disappointed about that too) You mean China doesn't hold all our debt?????? (Kidding, don't answer that. It's sad it needs pointed out, but I know it's necessary) When I mentioned stealing from funded programs, a good example would be when we "borrow" from the Social Security Trust Fund. This is where I might be over my head..... Yes I believe SURPLUS liquidity relies on central bank holdings. Like I said, more in the mood last night. Just kind of blah today. I didn't see you address the issue of inflation, and honestly that's what I'm most interested to get your view on.
-
Growing holding reserves would be necessary for surplus liquidity. Im not sure the money is even stopping between printing and payment (to many different debt holders). Do you believe that any monetary system could handle huge injections of currency into circulation without causing inflation? If you do, then why don't we just print 17 trillion real quick and take care of the National Debt with one swift swoop? Are you a magician. I haven't seen such a blatant redirect since the last David Blaine show I caught. Incase you weren't being facetious I'll spell it out for you. We = The United States and it's citizens Who has the "money we don't have" = Some of it we borrow, some of it we steal (from funded programs), and some of it we just print because we have borrowed and stole all we can. Make it more interesting. I'll be your Huckleberry.

No place for that here. It won't help. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudologia_fantastica

You got me. I am an idiot, and I am indeed mad bro. I let my jealousy get the best of me and I apologize. I've just always wanted a C6 and can't afford one. Reading back through it, your story is completely believable and there are zero inconsistencies. Carry on

But that's not what happened. If gap insurance kicked in, that means you owed more than it was worth. The bank didn't give you anything. In fact, you still owed them money after your primary comp/collision paid fair market value minus deductible. This is where gap kicks in... They pay the rest. So you put 13,500 down (out of pocket) Then bought it back for 6,600 (more out of pocket, you didn't get the 13,5 back) Then spent fuck tons fixing it (out of pocket) And now even more modding (yeh... Out of pocket too) By the time it's said and done, you will have 40k of money out of your pocket for a salvage title c6. Congrats.
-
Wait a minute..... $13,500 down and GAP insurance still had to kick in..... Congrats, you just unlocked a new achievement. "Worst Ass Raping Ever" You had to have over paid by atleast 15k. Great job on doing your due diligence.

I made a ton on F too That being said, we all need to quit acting like it was a risk free no-brainer. They were very close to reorganizing also. Their only saving grace was a couple moves Mulally made a year before, leveraging assets for cash before they took a dive in value. At the time it made no sense at all. He either knew something that no one else did, or got lucky as hell. Cliffs: Never ever invest more in a single stock than you are willing to lose.

Saving this thread for future sig material

It goes a little deeper than that. The fact that the population is so well armed may or may not have already prevented tyranny. It could also be the reason why we were not invaded in WWII, and would not be invaded today. Government and invasions aside, ARs can still be useful. If the grid went down (lets just say from a really bad storm) and you had generators and supplies, you now need to protect what you have from looters. It is only a matter of time before looters come in packs, and come armed. I would think an AR may be beneficial in such a scenario. Best case is you never "Need" the guns. I hope I never need mine. But in the mean time, I enjoy shooting them and they double as an investment. If I needed cash really bad I could pretty much sell every firearm I own for more than I paid for it. The same can not be said for any of my other hobbies (cars, golf, sports memorabilia, video games, computers, etc.)

Never really saw a clear answer, did you not give your SSN?

Dysons might not be the best out there, but if you catch a deal on one I think they are the best for the money. Watch on slickdeals.net Deals pop up every couple months. I got my Dyson Animal for $189 and am very pleased with it.

My differential equations course at OU was taught by a prof that barely spoke English. :fuuuu:

Mind you this was on pokerstars, and I think I got botted: I'm dealt AsKs It is raised $10 before me, and I raise it to $40. Two callers Flop: Ac Ah Kc checked to me, I check (just praying for a bet) third person raises $120. The guy before me (who checked 1st) calls. I re-raise $360. The original better folds... The guy before me calls. (He only has a few hundred left at this point) Turn: 7d It's heads up. First guy raises $100. (WAT!?!? He really just threw $100 at a $1200+ pot) I go all in (for a couple hundred more) He calls. At this point I'm smiling from ear to ear. River: Jc Now mind you.. This is pokerstars and not live. I already counted this as a lock. So all I see happen is the chips slide from the pot to this asshole. I'm dumb founded. Finally it registers. This fuck just hit a one outer royal flush. He had Qc 10c I couldn't believe it. So I start going off on the chat bar. Never got a response from the "player". I repeatedly asked, are you real? No answer. I swore off pokerstars after that.

My bodyguard has been flawless (knock on wood) Zero FTFs and accurate for such a short barrel. The trigger is looooooong. But honestly I prefer that in a gun that remains in my pocket. It's far from my favorite gun. It's just my favorite pocket EDC

I would think one of largest deciding factors would be based on the person opening the business and what their given skill set is. I mean, there has to be a market sure... But I rather be the BEST in a crowded market, than the worst in an emerging market that I hopped into to avoid competition. If a market goes under served someone will eventually find out and come bringing value.

I wouldn't pay off my house. I would pay it down to around 70% LTV and do a 15 yr loan at 2.75% that is tax deductible. Then take the money that would have went to pay off the house and buy tax free muni bonds paying ~4%. = Free money
