I can't answer for Jamie, but I built my long range gun for multiple reasons 1. The challenge of shooting something at 1000+ yards. I have never done it, and needed to right equipment to even attempt it. (Yes paper) 2. [shooting] It's one of the few things that I find relaxing and fun at the same time. We live in a multi tasking world. At any given time I am usually on my computer that has three screens, talking on a headset phone, and maybe returning a text all for work. Shooting is one of the only things that commands my entire attention and keeps it (aside from my kids) 3. If you buy them right, guns can be a sort of investment. I don't ever buy guns just to re-sell them,.... but at the same time I know if very hard times came upon me, I could turn a lot of the guns into cash fairly easily. It's not like dumping money into a car that you certainly won't get back. 4. Zombies. You know those mother fuckers are coming sooner or later:gabe:

(about 1/5th of what you are thinking) You are on the right track of thinking that EPS is important,... but it far from the sole driving factor. Have you ever seen a company listed with EPS = N/A.... That means the company doesn't turn a profit,.... however they still have value. Take SIRI for example. Not long ago the company had no EPS, yet still had a market Capitalization of over 4 Billion (closer to 8 billion now). I know where you are coming from on a theoretical basis though.

Market cap = shares outstanding x share price. Cash reserves have nothing to do with market cap And where did you hear $50 dividend? That would be a damn near 8% yield and I haven't heard anything even close to that.....

Where does your loan to value fall? If you can put enough down to elimitate PMI and go conventional rather than FHA you'll save a ton.

I remember the original Netscape navigator. At that time I was 14 I think. I was pretty proficient with computers already. We still didn't have computer class in school, but from the time I was 9 my dad took me to computer classed taught at a college because he thought computers would change the world. (seems like a no-brainer,.. But back in 1989 it wasn't common thought) Anyways he replaced my old IBM 386 turbo with a compaq with windows 95 and Netscape navigator.
