That particular Ibex was being held in an enclosure. Take Wiki with a grain of salt. It's widely accepted their extinction was due to a number of factors. Overhunting, loss of habitat, loss of grazing grazing due to domestic livestock. The same reason why many animals are endangered or extinct or now "causing problems" or being intrusive to our communities. If you think it's a waste, then you're an ignorant, selfish human being. As a child and adult, I was always very disappointed to know I would never see many animals alive. Even worse, that there were animals my own children would never see; would never get to experience and enjoy. Granted, I know some of you are just being silly and/or supplying your 'internet toughness' to be sure we know you're really men.

Shit, I just realized how off topic I am. I'm actually watching this thread for the reason it was started. Sorry.

I live in the USA. When I work with people who don't speak English, the problem is they don't speak English, not that I don't speak Spanish, etc. Get me? I have worked with others who don't speak English well. Sometimes, yes, there are communication probelms, but I've found at a job, you generally are expected to perform similar tasks from day to day. This means a simple form of communication capable of fulfilling the needed requirements is easy enough to establish between two intelligent people of different languages. I've lived mostly in Texas and Cali. Maybe, it's because I've had more experience working with latinos and asians this isn't a bid deal to me. I've worked with many different nationalities. What you describe doesn't differ from nationality to nationality. You can experience that anywhere you work. The difference being is that those guys probably felt alienated. How much of an effort did you make to communicate and be friendly? And if you did make an honest, friendly effort, then maybe those guys were just dicks. Race still has nothing to do with that. I've become very good friends with others who didn't speak English. I'm currently friends with a Brazilian couple who moved here from Brazil. We even party together. Granted, their English has improved GREATLY. Yes, it was a little hard in the beginning (They speak Portuguese, nothing like Spanish, really, making it even harder.) but we're all intelligent people not fuckin sloths. (Note: I actually really like sloths and want one as a pet.) There is also another couple from Columbia who party with us, as well. (I know these people thru a company I used to work for if you're wondering how I keep meeting all these "out of towners".) I know I got a bit off topic and this may just be my personality, but I dont' find anything wrong with making a little effort in my attempts at communicating and befriending others, no matter their origins, be it next door to me or from another country. Hell, I'll go out on a limb and say another damn planet, even. When you reach out to people, it's always amazing and pleasing to see them open up and do the same. Some of my fondest memories of friends and partying were with people who's language I couldn't always comprehend. lol Anyway, blah blah, unity, blah blah, love, blah blah, break down the barriers, blah blah, sex without a condom, blah blah I'll save the rest of my tree hugging, soapboxy opinions and beliefs for some other time.

I got almost halfway thru and couldn't take anymore. There were a couple gems in there. Some were just too short and stupid in the beginning. He does defend himself thought by saying he was just warming up in the beginning.

The olds badge took me a minute. Luckily, I've had a couple. One other one early on was trouble, as well, but I got it, too. One of the slogan ones. Can't remember, now. Anyway..... 20/20 I received a Smart Marketing License. Some fake drivers license thing. Anyone else get a fake card thingy? Also, did anyone else notice there are a few interactive things to do in the car as you take your test? Hint: The Hazard switch will show more than one thing. (It's really not worth going back if you've already tested. )

No, but you're probably the first to create fabric patches of them and iron them to the inside of your pants. :leghump::gay2:

Been using them since their inception. I even got a new artist on there after speaking with him and the powers that be at Pandora. (Really, not that big of a deal. But it's cool to know someone is on there because of you.) Diana, I believe if you reread my earlier post... ah, the hell with it. I'll copy and paste it right here. It may help answer a couple of questions.

Hey, maybe I can make a little of my money back that way. Do you have anymore details on said acquisition?

Just got off the phone with XM. I told them I didn't use the XM Radio Online and wouldn't in the future. Would I still be charged for it? They said no and that my main radio would still be $12.95 a month. But, my second radio would go up from $6.99 to $8.99. They find a way. All this shit begins on March 11 so you've got a month to decide. I'm going to discuss cancellation tonight with my gf. She has the secondary radio. $2 isn't alot, but we've been less happy with them since the switch and now they want to charge more. Yet, we do both travel extensively and it would be a serious loss to in-car entertainment. They did say they'd be revamping the channel lineup this year, but that doesn't really tell me shit.

I received the Xm version of this infuriating email, as well. So, let me get this straight... You want to raise my rates after monopolizing satellite radio. This wouldn't be so bad had they actually ADDED the sirius and xm stations together. But no, they added some, took some, and mixed some. Do I enjoy many of my old stations as much anymore? No. Still wanna up my fees? I don't care for Howard Stern or similar or the online radio. So, I'm less happy with the service and I don't really feel like I've gained anything by the merger. I'm very close to canceling. Looks like I'll be making a call and seeing where it goes. I did find this on the xm site. I've bolded the important part. However, maybe they do have a separate clause that wouldn't allow refunds if they go under.: Multi-Year Service Packages: • Hurry - Lock in XM's lowest rates by selecting a one-year or multi-year pre-paid subscription plan. Watched a real good program on NatGeoHD or Discovery or some shit awhile back. It was a nature program that revolved around that area. Real good show. Pretty amazing stuff.

Some munkay stuff: The article even left some shit out ... namely that the guy's foot was tore off, as were his testicles. http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2005/03/06/ferocity_of_chimpanzee_attack_stuns_medics_leaves_questions/ Different article detailing the same attack, ie; the testicle and foot thing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/SucksBBS/ChimpOwned.jpg ============================ Remember the "Man Vs. Beast" show that aired on foxtv? A 90 lbs female orangutan pulled some 350+ sumo wrestler into mud. Pretty funny. ============================ I can't find the link but there's a case where biologists have OBSERVED chimps tearing truck tires in half (no human can do that). There's also a case where chimp pulling strength was measured on a dynamometer. A 165 pound man pulled 210 pounds with two hands. A 135 pound FEMALE chimp pulled 1,260 pounds with one hand. So yes, they could probably tear your arms off. ============================ In dead lifts, chimps have been known to manage weights of 600 pounds without even breaking into a sweat. A male gorilla could probably heft an 1,800-pound weight and not think twice about it. There's a ton more, but I'm bored, now.
-
Indeed. Hell, a chimp is considered at least 4-7 times stronger than a human. By age 5, they are stronger than most humans. They're as fast, if not faster, stronger, more agile, 4 grasping appendages, large, powerful jaws and huge teeth, thicker skin, denser bones. They don't just punch but slap, stomp, kick, bite, rip and tear. Some will even use weapons. Sticks and stones. Of course, if they had access to a bat or some shit, I'm sure one of them would beat your ass with that. Imagine how strong a gorilla is comparitavely? If you think you can take a gorilla, you've been watching too much Jungle Book or Tarzan or some shit. Gorilla - 1 Human (Nick) - 0 :04 seconds into the 1st round by TC (Technical Carnage).

New Band (to me) that I discovered online

The music wasn't too bad. Not bad for some kids. Dunno about the lyrics, however. -
No, wait. Here it is. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/41/86907599_f64eb5f48d.jpg?v=0 I don't like chocolate.

This is how you see off a love rival, gorilla-style. With teeth bared and enormous arms swinging, the two huge apes hurl themselves towards each other. This moment, just before they clashed in mid-air, was captured by a visitor to the Kent zoo where the western lowland gorillas live. An amazing pic showcasing their massive size and strength. I'm a big guy but I think I'd shit myself to see something like that coming for me. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2009/01/30/article-1132389-033E42C1000005DC-814_468x405.jpg Full Story: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1132389/Pictured-Gorilla-warfare-deepest-Kent-snapper-captures-battle-zoo-giants.html?ITO=1490

An extinct animal has been brought back to life for the first time after being cloned from frozen tissue. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandtechnology/science/sciencenews/4409958/Extinct-ibex-is-resurrected-by-cloning.html

She's probably lost "it" already. And Alex, I'm not posting in any more threads where you've posted more than once. Your damn sig is killing my scrolling abilities. :gtfo: lol

I guess I see what you're saying. I've noticed shit like this about myself as I've gotten older, too. What is it you find offensive? I don't believe they're making fun of prom date dumpster babies. So, nothing there. It is simply because they're pointing out something that makes most uncomfortable to think about? I find people would rather pretend the problem doesn't exist because they find it offensive and don't want to think about or face the problem. It harms their sensitive moral judgement. (btw, I'm being cereal; not poking fun or anything.) Or maybe it's not so much the scene or whatever, but what it represents that bothers you. In that case, it's not Family Guy you have a problem with but the topic they're covering. I'd say get over it, but it's your choice not to receive your daily moral servings from Family Guy, a comedy animation, instead of Fox News. I suggest watching the show Moral Orel. (Ok, the last paragraph was poking fun. )

Not trying to bust balls (I'll hold my judgement for now), but wondering what's wrong with working with Mexicans?

Copy this down because it won't happen again... I'd keep the 7 and let that particular Supra go.
