There is a new place that just moved in where mobile electronics used to be, I work like 4 doors down from them. I can't remember what it is called b/c is is spelled weird, it ends in tronx or something....I'll get the name and post tomm. morning if no one else does....
Oh by the way I am at 4330, which is almost halfway between Morse and Cooke on Indianola....
The Black '79 Camaro like two cars down on grid, my white MR2 was over behind the grand stands all day. Do you have pictures posted somewhere? Saw you out there shooting some pics.
Posted in frustration, can't change the minds of ignorant people anyway, nvm.
I've seen too much bullshit with this government right now that I don't even know where to start.
That is really stupid that they blamed him partially b/c of lane choice, his daughter won on the right lane, he personally had a bad experience in the left. Like he said, why would you run the lane that you aren't winning in? Silly, he is just pissed he got beat by his daughter...
Wasn't that bad at all, the C6 ZO6 hit the chin spoiler a few times as well as a few other cars, but for the most part the cars cleared with no problem. Andy Bell stopped out scoping the track for a potential autox, but my opinion is that it shouldn't happen for SCCA, we were making a run then driving back around the embankment to exit the track, one car on course at a time. SCCA has too many people and that track is not large enough to have 3 cars at the same time and be a long course.
I was there driving the 1979 Camaro...links to video below
Ran a 52.9 best, fast time was a 45.2, Mike's LS1 Camaro ran like a 51.9
I was clean all 8 runs with no cones, I was pretty happy to be asked to drive the car for the owner, and even happier the car did that well for what it was. The car has some good work put into it for sure!
AUTOXQT was there as well (my girlfriend) Saw a few familiar MS3's, the MR2's were from MR2oc.com, and the TR6/SVT Focus were a father/son customers of our shop.
Winking Lizard has a list of over 300 beers, most of which many people have never heard of. May wanna do a search for their world tour of beers to get the list.
Turbo MR2
Porsche 951 (I think these still fall into the range)
3rd Gen Supra Turbo
Fox
All of the cars I look at/have owned are under 5K, being a mechanic helps buy 10K plus cars in that range. Bought a '99 Forester for $200 that is clean as shit, neads head gaskets now, but hey thats easy for me.
Head gaskets, front CV shafts, rear wheel bearings, cam seals, timing belt...again, rusted through fuel filler necks, ball joints, rear bearing plates. Anything goes, you just never know, those are just the major things I have seen.
Not a lot, guy bought one on Ebay for next to nothing in my opinion with low miles on it, like no more than 3800, but since mileage is unknown I would be paying at or less than $2500 if i really liked the thing.
Tire shine looks like ass, and I hate getting that shit on my hands when I take wheels off cars at the shop. Sorry, just a brief rant!
Car looks super clean, nice to see a unmolested example.
I would not seeing as though I am not a huge American car fan, nor am I a fan of any of those cars. I would on the other hand buy one if they had a MR2 or Supra or something I liked they look pretty cool.
