  1. Did you get your permit today lol?
  2. Legacy b spec iirc. If it has been tuned, that might help. His may also be geared differently on the highway. May be cruising at a lower rpm.
  3. She is prepping for bachelorette party tonight (actual party tomorrow night). I will probably be out still though.
  4. If I were looking at cars for fuel economy I would NOT be looking at Subaru's. Of the 4 cylinder cars they commonly get the WORST fuel economy. If you are looking in the early 2000's expect to see maybe around 20-25 in the city, I see about 18 in my DOHC Legacy GT. Erica's Automatic '06 Legacy saw 26 MPG on a mix of freeway/country driving and that was not driving it hard. That was determined from a personal calculation, NOT the on board computer.
  5. I have a rotor identical to that hanging in my garage.
  6. Remember though, we are a repair shop so we just see the broken ones. There are stretches of zero maintenance like any other car, but when a problem does arise it is usually not very cheap. A good inspection as you know will be very important on a Mini.
  7. The 6 speed trans is not AS prone to grenading like the 5 speeds are. Electric P/S pump issues - leaks, total failures, cooling fan issues. Lower ball joints front. The serpentine belt takes 2 people, 45 minutes and a lot of patience. (S/C model) Aftermarket is as plentiful as the Miata as far as nick nacks and power adders. Door lock actuators They are a blast to drive, but at times when each one leaves with $1K plus bill every other oil change in the 60K mile+ range it just gets sketchy. We don't service many in the 100K+ range. Most people seem to get the newest model, or sell off for good before 100K.
  8. We have Scott Tanner (Snap On) and Ken Fisher (Matco) both are great, but Dave has a ton of MAC stuff. Is the MAC tool truck a really beat up old Isuzu (I think) that is rusty as shit? That is the truck I see over at Byers Circle.
  9. Any MAC tools reps on here that could warranty a couple tools for us? MAC keeps sending district reps out to survey the area, but won't send a stinkin truck down to us even though one stops at Byers Circle not 1 mile from us. Thanks! Oh, I can come to you, or if you are in our area you can stop by us.

    GONE/LOCK

    Thanks for the interest!
  11. OH hell yes. That is cool as shit.
  12. Beware of electronic parts. If MAG does not have it in stock, they cannot get it at this time. Supplies are starting to dwindle on popular items. Could not get a blower motor for a '05 9-3 the other month can't get a throttle position sensor for a '03, etc. You are buying a car with no certain OEM parts future at this time.
  13. What she said, we will be late, or not at all.
  14. Is this the sushi place you were talkin about last week?
  15. Clay's analysis is spot on with my opinion of stock Mustangs and most definitely the verts. Don't get me wrong, would secretly like to own one for no other purpose than being loud and obnoxious.
  16. Love the attitude towards the project. Way to go "against the grain". Looks neat as hell.
  17. In for "dat ass" wide body pics.
  18. Well, the Diablo was there with the dolphins. Probably missed it as we did not see the Mini section there. On contrary, I will politely disagree that this year was in fact worse than last year with rain in the weather and what not. I can think of a large handful of cars that were present last year that were NOT present this year. I mean it was the Countach reunion last year as well, there were almost 15-20 Countach's present last year and I counted like 2 or 3 this year. The Miura was awesome, the Jalpa was neat as well.
  19. Yes, this is Erica's old car again. Nothing has changed except the miles have gone up and there are no extras with the car anymore. Our service writer bought it for his wife (middle aged) to toodle around town in. She is now "bored" with it. She goes through cars quickly. 1999 Mazda Miata ASKING $5500 OBO 5 speed Bilstein Suspension (OEM) 89K miles Silver exterior, black cloth interior A/C COLD, P/S Crank windows, no power locks, no cruise, no tilt, no power windows. Just about no rust on the car, no MAJOR damage anywhere other than a couple dings. The car is NOT leaking anything, the car is totally dry underneath. Supposedly the original owner traded the car in somewhere and KD Motor Cars over in Granville bought it at auction. So, we would be the "unofficial" second owner if you don't count the dealers. NEGATIVES- Needs a top - Couple tears near the pivot point over driver and passenger shoulders. 5th gear syncro starting to wear out, can shift in smooth 40-50mph. Digging through files for the pics again.

    Shocks

Mine are blown on the LGT AND it's an excellent excuse for coilovers. Man, I need to do some suspension work.
