Yep. Here you go. Found a pic of you at the top. http://www.humanedgetech.com/expedition/jpmount/images/Cbnews.jpg

Nope...air is too thin. It was done once I think but you won't be jumping out with a camera. That's part of the risks in any climb let alone that one. Rescue if you get hurt isn't just MedFlight away.

So now the question becomes, what POS were you driving that you saw the ass end of and never came close enough to that you could see the make :gabe:

50% of America can't climb a flight of stairs and not get winded. I don't see CR being much different. I'd love to but I hate the cold. Closest I've come is mountain biking at 8,500ft+ near Crater Lake. I'm good with that.

Just an update for the group. Bought the Samsung BD-D5700. I had a Sammy before and it worked great. Was slow, but this one is not. Streams Netflix in 1080i which is very much welcomed. The really nice thing about it is Sammy's AllShare Software that allows me to share folders from my Computer and then play music or movies or photos from my folders with ease. I had a similar set up years ago on my last computer but the technology at the time was painfully slow. I highly recommend this one. $129 at HHGregg.

What are you looking for? Zoom/Reach? That's all you're going to get. IQ isn't going to change and in some cases is going to be worse. They talk of having DOF but the only DOF that's going to result is if you use a zoom lens at the long end and stand back. The size of the sensor on the crop body digital camera like a Canon T3/Rebel is already limiting at 1.5x and greatly reduced the capability of the lenses used to really shine. The iPhone is 7.3x. Any Bokeh that would result would be magnified too and as much as I love my iP4s and use it's camera in place of a point and shoot, it's Bokeh displays horrible characteristics. Of the adapters I've seen, this one is about the best in IQ: Schneider Optics

The whole place looks great man. Very nice!

Not surprised. Hopefully a few of them killed one another.

About time we get news like this! Good story. Just have to sit through a stupid advertisement to see the vid. Thumbs up to her

Re.... but in the end, while a novel idea, not worth $250 for the adapter. You're better off buying a pocket zoom camera and carrying it. Safer, smaller and less expensive. Also, the capabilities of the a Canon L Lens far exceeds what the capabilities of the phones tiny sensor offer. Not to mention DOF is dependent on sensor size so there's not benefit there. Not to mention that's a hell of a dangerous way to wield a $1,200+ lens.

You scored 73.4%. Well done! Your chances of surviving a zombie apocalypse are better than average! Don't get too cocky, though. Remember, the undead never sleep...

The one thing worse than going through the efforts of building this is seeing it on CL and saying "I gotta have that!" When the buyer and seller meet, there's going to be an earthquake of epic proportions due to the intelligence of great magnitudes converging in one spot.

The flare and likely some sharpness fall off is from the UV. I know it's tough, but ditch the filter and use the hood at all times, except when perhaps it interferes with the on board flash. However, the on board should really only be used for fill flash outside anyway. Not sure if you will like it, but composition wise my eye is drawn to the cab in the sky however, there's not enough depth for me so I started to play. Converted to B&W with some retro-type grain Added some dark Vingette Cleaned up just a few misc. items Before and After Animation: http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/140714055/original.jpg

To take tuition from a wider range of people. Even Billy who sucks his thumb at age 23 but is a hell an underwater basket weaver. His parents are so proud.

Looking at the image the first thing.....lens hood. Did you ditch the UV Yet? Second.....ND Filter Bracketing - not sure what your 3100 will allow you to do. RAW Those are my initial thoughts. I agree. Buy a bigger one too. Newer ones are much thinner too. If you can't afford it, ditch it all together and make it a nice bar :gabe:

are you running historical plates on that thing :lolguy:

call my cell. You're right around the corner from me. So long as the card can be read, I can get the pics back. I'll be home around 6pm but can pick the card up on the way. tim 614.795.4907

Good info  Yes, we have them signed up for lessons at the Chiller.

No disrespect intended, but with a score of 558 the last thing your friend should be doing is trading in a car. Especially one that would end up having her finance 18-20k more. Not that anyone would even buy such a deal for her....at least not at anything but credit card interest rates. Direct her away from such a thought until the finances are straight. If she does buy it, just let her know you're one connection away from a good bankruptcy attorney.
-
I hear ya. However, at the same time I say meh....because buying a car, even an $100k one is easy for the average single male making halfway decent money. The key isn't the $2k mo the car might cost, it's the fact that they don't usually have everything else that makes life way more enjoyable. You have a good start. Knock out the house and then you can enjoy a nice car that you own too. Little ones are very expensive. However, like anything you adapt. I couldn't imagine life without mine. To me vacations are 3x more fun since I not only enjoy them for me and wife but through the eyes of our two kids. All in due time for most.

keep in mind, his philiosophy applies to buying a home. It's all about living below your means and paying yourself first. My father always told me, it's not about how much you make, it's about how much you save and invest. It's tough, but if you don't have money being invested getting rich becomes pretty difficult.

More than that. Cap cost reduction on that program is $2,500, taxes in Ohio would be another $2,500 and even if you negotiated a selling price you're looking at $475 to $500 per month for that lease. Add in another $15-$20 month if you're going to drive it average miles vs low miles. Still not a bad deal all said considering if you financed it you'd be at around $760mo. at on a buy at month 27 you'd be hanging by your feet upside down. This is a very short term lease too. Not one you'd likely get out of 6 months early, but no doubt with in the last 3 you could. Now you could buy it, drive for the 60 month note, pay roughly $45k over that term and trade it for a guesstimate of say $21-23k in equity you'd have but in the end it will have still cost you roughly $400mo to own it. Not to mention the 3+ more years of ownership costs associated with it. Oh....and that $760mo payment for 60 months. Ouch. Not me man...lease the new one of buy a nice clean used one. Brand new luxury buys are hurtful to your pocketbook.
