  1. I leave the light on 24/7 for heat. I had a thermometer in the aquarium and the temps were right about 78-80 degrees. I couldn't agree more that frozen is best for the animal. Less risk of parisites, or injury to the snake.. Anthony - Kinda busy today, but I'll get ahold of you tomorrow.
  2. This winter. I was going to get it done now, but it takes 2-3 weeks + shipping the parts to and from and I wasn't willing to wait 3-4 weeks to have this complete in the middle of the racing season. I will 100% be doing this though. The coating also helps with turbo spool up, so it's multifunctional. I think it's a real shame the kit doesn't come coated from APS.
  3. It does suck it's been in the shop a lot, but it's really the nature of the beast. We've replaced everything in the car and so we are trouble shooting numerous things. The only reason the car is in the shop now is because I'm going out of town next weekend, and If I give them the car now, they have 2-3 weeks to complete the changes I've requested. I was going to take it to the track Wednesday to Trails, but the axles poped out. I think axles are too short or something, so we put my stock ones back in and shipped out the other ones to have looked at. As far as fueling options, I had 3 choices to run 1krwhp. 1. e85 2. 100 octaned unleaded (might work) or 3. run a meth kit. The meth kit adds another 30#'s to the front of an already weight challenged corvette. If the pump goes out or I run out of meth, then I could potentially cause problems for the car. The 100 octane is only available in a couple spots in Ohio plus the fact I'd have to run my tank completely out of 94 to fill up with 100 octane for track days. Then you do have the added cost of $2.00 per gallon. Or do e85 which may also help with the car running warm. Just seems like the e85 is the way to go. And if I'm unhappy with what I get out of the e85, I can easily switch back to regular gas. If I wanted more HP then the 934 I got last time, I had to make all these changes anyway. Jason
  4. The injectors were 100% maxed out at the 934rwhp pull I did. We could scale them and perhaps get a little closer to 1,000. However, E85 requires about 30% more fuel so they will be really capped out then. Same goes for the fuel pump. Each pump is rated at like 600hp on gas, so figure that's probably 450-500 on E85.
  5. Going out of town this coming weekend, so no better time then now to convert the car over to E85. IPS is replacing all the pumps, lines, fuel injectors and a fuel injector controller to run E85. For those considering the same thing, here is a really interesting post about it. http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33448 I'll give updates as it progresses. I'm really excited to be able to run this stuff and have the engine and exhaust run cleaner and colder! I just wish I knew how much colder the engine will run. The TT kit makes my car run 230's in stop and go traffic, I'd love to see it closer to 200. Anybody else on here running E85? How do you like it? Jason
  6. she is certainly an eater. I feed her Medium size rats every 5 days or so. You could easily get her to weekly depending on how big you want her to get. She can handle a large rat at this point, but for the snakes safety(I generally feed live) I stick to medium rats. However will note, a rat has never lasted longer then 30 seconds before she's killed it. I also have like 5 frozen rats that go with her as well. She perfers live, but has eaten frozen. The nice thing about frozen, seems like you don't have to feed her as often! Jason

  8. It's my sons snake and he is kind of over it. I'd keep it myself, but I already have enough hobbies I have to keep up on. $120 gets the snake and 20g aquarium with solid lid. It's also a Female Het 2 or whatever it is. Basically doesn't have any black around the circles. Snake has a decent tempermant and has never struck at anybody. When we take it out, we always go through the same routine. Snake is usually pretty active at first when handling, then calms down. However, I'd recommend she gets handled more often then what we do. Not saying she wont bite just saying she's never bitten us, and both my kids (8 and 7) have handled the snake themselves. Will make a great pet for someone!! Jason
  9. We should all have that sig!
  10. Yes, I need both. I've heard a lot of mustang guys use these on their cars and am thinking about trying it myself. Do you know how loud theses fans are in person on the car? Figured I'd pick one up and see if I can even make it fit. 100amp pull at startup for the fan is crazy though!
  11. Anybody have one of these? I'm sure I can probably pick one up at a Junkyard, but figured I'd check here first. Thanks! Jason
  12. Cool, I'll be at QS&L at 7:30am!
  13. If we can pick an offical spot, I'd be down for a caravan.
  14. The economy just like anything else. It's going to have it's ups and downs. The only thing you can do is continue to save at the rate you have been and 30 years from now when your ready to retire you'll have enough saved up. Right now the market is way down and I personally feel it's going to go down even further. However, understand that you are buying while the market is down. So when the market does go back up, even if it's 5-10 years from now, your money will start to multiply. I certainly wouldn't take the approach there is no point in saving now as I don't see me hitting my long term goals. Just do what you can and it will all fall into place. Plus when you do retire you wont need as much money as you will be making at the time you retire. Let's say your making 200k/yr at 60 and you want to retire. Understand your only goinig to be clearing 120k, now take out the commute, clothing and other job related expenses and your down to 100k, maybe 90k. Plus by this point in time, your probably going to own your home and not have that monthly mortgage expense. Anyway, to clear 90k a year in retirement, you'll need about 2,000,000 even at a very reasonable 6% and you wont be cutting into your principle at all(thats 120k total minus 30k in taxes) If your willing to cut into your principle amount then you could have $1,000,000 and be making 45k cleared in intrest and take 45k in principle out and that would last you until your probably 100. Putting in your max contribution at your current income levels will easily net you an easy retirement. Also understand if Obama gets elected and his tax hikes that he wants to impose go into effect forever, your number will be double. As he wants to take away the SSI cap of 95k, which will cost you 7.5% of your money yearly(15% if your self employeed), plus he wants to count interest/dividen income as regular income so instead of having the reduced rate you'll be paying full taxes on your interest. Though, people that support Obama say his changes will positively effect the value of the dollar and turn around the economy in such a way it will make it easier to hit "your number". Then you have to play the game. A lot of people that retire move to states like Texas, Nevada, and Florida because your not going to be sending 7-9% of your money to the State or City. FWIW, putting 7k/yr away (+3% for annual increases) with a 7% apr, will net you just under 1 million in 30 years.
  15. Someone gave me negative rep for this post... :asshole:
  16. Nice job! Car looks good. You should come to the Dragway 42 event on July 26th. Would love to see that car in action. Or just bring the Z down.
  17. My first compiled/edited video, I'll try to make the next ones better. lol This is all three of the passes I made. I wish Youtube allowed the original quality when uploaded. However, I'm sure it would take too much memory and would take too long for people to watch the movies then.
  18. I think you have to shorten the torque tube and drive shaft. Then rework the exhaust to fit around the transmission. I'm also pretty sure you have to massage the tunnel to make it fit but I'm not sure. Want to see what I can get the 4L60 to do first and take it from there. Jason
  19. That's some funny shit right there. :bangbang:
  20. First time out with the Twin Turbo build. And I think they are making the 4L80's work, but they take some serious work to the car. May look into this option next year. :bangbang:
  21. Problem is trails wont let us go faster then 11.5 with out a cage. The other option is to go to every track in ohio. Hell it's once a month and if we opened it to all the ohio clubs, I bet we'd be supprised how many people would go ahead and prepay for the entire year in advance. obviously this isn't a this year thing, but maybe we can look into it next year.
  22. Hell get 15 people to commit to all 6 rentals and you've got $3600. That alone should pay for 2-3 full events.
  23. How much is the track rental total? If we set something up on a monthly basis with them would they reduce the fee? There are quite a few people that would be interested in something more regular. Even if it was $100/each. Just to go and not have to deal with other people is worth it. Setup 6 rentals. Charge $40 per event, or a total of $240 if paid in the begining of the season. Then charge $65 per individual event. Tickets non transferable. Unless at full price.
  24. I'm not sure if he will have his car back or not. Hopefully! Hey do you have an extra set of 17x11's ZR1/SS rims for your 95? Or know someone that has some? I'm wanting to try out a set of 26x11.5x17 MT ET Streets and see how they do for me, but before I get a CCW Track pack, I want to make sure the 17" rim/tire combo will hook up.
