  1. Auxiliary Air Valve is only supposed to be for cold idle (basically a controlled air leak). Car runs fine until it closes (warm run position). Car will idle fine warm if you crack the throttle plate, car runs fine at all other speeds. Issue appears to be with air control at idle. Car has "maintenance" items done - plugs, cap, rotor, wires are new (old ones were in bad shape when I got it). No, I have not taken the time to do fuel pressure & volume checks. Alldata's info on this car is poor - shows various components that are not correct for this vehicle. Again, taking the time to run through CIS FI diagnostics will likely pinpoint the problem, but I know other priorities and projects will keep me from it till deep into Summer...so here it is for someone to get a deal or make some money themselves.
  2. It's not show car by any means - but for a decent, reasonable clean, low miles convertible to run around in the Summer it's not too bad. Turbs3000 (Matt) offered to post up the pics if I sent them to him. (THANKS MATT!) - so everyone may be able to browse later. As I said, just to lazy/busy/occupied to get them done right now....
  3. Sorry, never actually tried them out - I just noticed they were in the package with the camera when I got it.
  4. There is a full sheet of "windbreakers" with the camera (clear plastic stickies to cover the built in mic)!
  5. Check the Replay link in the add. That shows everything that I have/is included with the exception of the original packaging and the owners/users manual...or PM me an email and I will send "live" pics (too lazy to screw w/Flikr today
  6. I have three "body mounts" for action cameras: Chest Mount - adjustable elastic straps Head Mount - adjustable elastic straps - rubber lined for anti slip Arm Mount - elastic straps - pivoting mount $50 for all three
  7. Replay XD1080 MINI Camera kit, 4GB card, assorted mounts, bag, etc. Basic Kit 139.00 new, I purchased this thinking it was the "old style" larger XD1080 and this one will not work for our application. $100 very lightly used Link to Replay's page showing all that is included (mine has no box/no manual): http://www.replayxd.com/product/1080-mini/ Yes, they are on Amazon for $114 with free shipping, but they do not include all the mounts as shown on the replay link
  8. 1986 VW Cabrio, 87K miles, automatic, red w/grey interior The Good: 4 brand new tires (less than 10 miles - really!), low miles, relatively rust free car, good top (has the boot cover), auto trans rebuilt in 2011 (receipts in car) The Bad: Radio faceplate was MIA when I go the car, car runs well but will not idle once it warms up (stalls) - coincides with the auxiliary air valve closing. Front bumper (passenger side) was hit/bent back - not bad looking from 20' I picked this up last Fall and stored it in the garage over the winter. I planned to fix it and make a few $$$ this Spring. Too many projects and a new race car coming has me offering it up here for someone who wants to do a fix and still make some money - or someone who needs a good "kid car", Summer convertible" or whatever. CR price $1000 firm - if I have to fix it later the price will be twice that! Not offered to the CL hordes yet.... Shoot me a number and I can text pics.
  9. I just dropped a pair of FWD (MK1 VW) axles with Dave @ Babbitt today. They are about 3 weeks out. I have not personally used them before, but he knew just how mine were done before (center of the splines bored, shafts cut down and machined for the splined piece to slip back over and tig weld in place) and was comfortable replicating the process. I'll see how they look in a few weeks...
  10. I will likely be instructing (may be running the event..TBA) - I am the "official" Novice Coordinator this year for OVR. I think they decided I was too old to huff & puff around setting stuff up in the morning - so now the newbs can tell me how old I am!
  11. LEPD is close to me - I shoot there about once or twice a month. Carry in my own targets and ammo (yes they check for steel cases) and shoot two to a lane for an hour for $20 as mentioned. They are nice enough but are also strict enough that I've not run into any "problem children" screwing around on the range. As to the store - ammo prices are high. I did purchase a couple of used guns for a decent deal (they will negotiate on used stuff a bit). New stuff didn't seem crazy expensive...but you could find a lower price if you looked.
  12. Perhaps something like this: http://chillicothe.craigslist.org/cto/4852413469.html
  13. If it's as solid as it looks, it's not too bad a price. An old Nova/Chevy II came to mind, but they're almost as bad as the Firebirds anymore.
  14. Firebird Sprint convertible...or a "Fitchbird" (John Fitch creation) http://www.oldcarsweekly.com/car-of-the-week/car-of-the-week-1968-firebird-sprint http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=108400
  15. ????? Maybe you meant to type $2500???? They are neat, but not really collectable - and then you have to see the VOA Auction crowd......
  16. When COTA becomes "self supporting"* - talk to me about MORE taxpayer subsidized transit. (*per COTA's 2014 "Report to the Community" - 83% of their funding is from sales tax - 17% from fares)
  17. Set of 4 used Sigma Shadow Tires in 175/70R-13 (175/70/13). No repairs, all tires are 7/32" tread of better (Sigma shows 10/32" as new depth). More details here: http://sigmatires.com/tires/Detail.aspx?lineid=252&application=Passenger These came on a car I purchased that also had 4 brand new General tires with it, so I installed the new set and these take offs are now for sale. Asking $120 CL Pics here: http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/4754950632.html
  18. Bump - new price $12,000 OBO - offered here first
  19. 1) Get a bike that fits - it has less to do with height and more to do with inseam. If you are average (at 6') you will likely need a 23" or 24" (yea, I'm old - we did them in inches "back in the day - roughly 58-61cm) 2) Older '60's-'80's road bikes CAN BE a bargain today. Nishiki, Fuji, Falcon, Raleigh, all built a full line of bikes from entry level on up to a very high quality 3) Look for frames that are chrome moly and preferably "double-butted" tubing. (Reynolds 531 was the big name, but many Japanese bikes had their own tubing "brand"). 4) Alloy side pull brakes (Dura Ace, Campagnola are best in that era) though most will have an alloy "center pull" brake. Alloy rims and alloy quick release hubs F & R (fronts are very common). Alloy seat posts are typical on the higher end models. Once Ridden bikes on Indianola sometimes has good deals (they had a beautiful used Falcon there a few weeks back) but you will still pay more than a CL bike. Also figure on spending a few bucks to get it serviced up (or do it yourself) - true the wheels, clean repack bearings, adjust brakes & deralleurs. Even at $350, some of the vintage road bikes are now getting tougher to find/buy. You really just need to go visit several bike stores (new & used) listen and learn before you go drop your cash.
  20. 1998 Honda Civic LX, Auto 1.6L, 206K miles. PS/PB/PDL/PW/Cruise/AC. AM/FM/CD/MP3 w/SD slot, sunroof. This was my son-in-law's commuter between Dayton-Columbus-Cincinnati for many years, and recently purchased a newer car. Car is clean and well maintained - some dings but looks good from 20 feet. New in the last 12 months: tires, front brakes, battery & alternator. Good economical first car, college car, winter beater. Asking $2150 obo CL ad for pics here: http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/4722852735.html
