  1. lol^^ love the comment "looks beat, i'm sure the tune's ok" priceless. we'll see if you get a response
  2. "Find another way home pizza boy!" One of my goals is a full marathon next year. I've done a few halfs, but mostly do 5-10k's and sprint tris.
  3. Winston wolf, and three of his friends?
  4. Congrats on her beating the cancer. Congrats to you for being so supportive. And congrats for having a georgeous wife. Cheers Kirk
  5. very odd to use two screws^^^ but looks like they caught the hips before they slipped too much. i'll post some pics up later. should be interesting, but they are not pics of my injuries.
  6. the c7 looks seem to be growing on me. like herpes. i considered porches when i bought my gtr. it was a strange time--you couldn't get a new turbo, or turbo-s at the time i bought the gtr. they were between model years. and i felt the gtr had better overall potential and aftermarket support. a 911 is a 911, no one can tell the difference between models. the same thing goes for the vette. if you like attention, the GTR will get you just that---and its annoying as fuck, at times. i didn't anticipate it, or i may have gone with the porch. i don't think you can go wrong with either, but the driving experience will likely be completely different.
  7. Good save. They do make excellent daily drivers. Great for longer trips. I drove my v from Wisconsin to Columbus last weekend and back. Comfortable
  8. Don't think so. At least not lower mileage ones. My '09 heads/cam car might go up for sale if this new vette is the shit. With 10 k miles on it, I don't see selling mine for much less than $45k
  9. I said the exact same thing for years when threads like this came up. Good luck. Kids are awesome, but they put a level of stress on the marriage that some people are not able to handle. And people can change. At the end of the day I've been successful at almost everything I've done in my life--except marriage. No matter how hard you try it takes two people giving quite a bit of effort to make it work, and my lesser half simply gave up. She was so quick to give up 50% placement of the kids, yet is battling for every penny she can get.
  10. The argument is that the old zr1 bettered those times, and had higher trap speeds by 3-4 mph with some frequency. It's no big secret gm sets out to equal the outgoing top dog, with the incoming regular vette. That is: c7=c6z. And c7z06=c6zr1. I think we need to realize on one hand this car is likely 200lbs heavier. But also, these quoted times are very early, and likely not in the best conditions quite yet---better track, prep, etc. I think once some of these cars get broken in, and get on a great track like Mir, with good da, and good prep, we will see some routine 10.7 runs at 132+ Or I could be way off
  11. You need a better driveway sensor. I have one on my driveway. Something has to break the beam to set it off. You could always just walk around it, but the fucktards on your camera are not doing that. The only time I shut the system off is when we get snow so the plow doesn't wake me up, or when the lawn is getting mowed if I happen to be home which is rare. Otherwise, someone has to be coming up the driveway to set it off. The most shenanigans I get (thankfully) are jackasses literally driving their car up my driveway to take a closer look at my house.
  12. People change, conditions change, and kids change everything in a way you couldn't predict. I look at the roles we each had when we first got married---each of us worked, made reasonably similar wages, didn't spend a lot of money, and didn't have children. I look at things 10 years later and it's insane how much the roles have changed. And different states view marriage differently. I've gotten a crash course on marital law in Wisconsin. Parts are fair, and other parts are not. What you're describing in the second half of your statement is not how most states view marriage. Any and all money spent by either half during the marriage is common money. That might sound crazy when there's a sole bread winner, or an extreme-high wage earner, but it is unfortunately, the reality many times.
  13. Family car Fun car Solution, get both. Lol. Wish the charger was awd. I'll believe the 2.9 with the charger when I see it first hand. I'm assuming they used drag radials for that time, and had perfect conditions.
  14. I was the other guy with the v that showed up at cars and coffee at the end. Welcome to the site. Great looking car
  15. if nothing else, he's guilty of being an asshole. i'm no dirt track expert and couldn't give two fucks about nascar----but given the video as well as his history of being a hot-headed prick, it sure looked like he was out to teach the young racer a lesson and fucked up.
  16. Or just fix the health issues yourself at home in your backyard? I guess free healthcare and assisted living is a god-given right in this country. Do you expect to put your loved one in a huge basket, leave them at the back step of a nursing home, ring the doorbell, and go back to their old house and enjoy the "inheritance", without paying for anything? Let me guess..... You're the first one to bitch about how the facility is under-manned too.

Seriously. Every thread I read of yours makes me feel like an ungrateful, spoiled, prick. Or maybe I'm being trolled by one of the greatest trolls of all time? There's no middle ground.
  18. Already have a girlfriend. Thanks for the offer though, I'm flattered. Lol. It's crazy. When I have the kids, I don't have time to even piss, let alone have a girlfriend, between work and all their activities. When I don't have them, it's like being in college again--only I have money. :fuckyeah:
  19. soon to be single. when i was married, we discussed any major purchases. i never had any issues buying whatever i wanted---neither did she. i bought all the cars in my sig. she had a MAJOR addition put on what is now, my house. money wasn't the issue. all the money in the world couldn't have solved our issues. she didn't work outside of the home, and i was ok with that. as long as she was as good with taking care of our three kids as i was earning a living. i could go on and on. part of me misses being married (not to her, but just the idea of having someone there 100% of the time to support you), and part of me loves being able to do whatever i want when i don't have the kids. plenty of married people are miserable, plenty of single people are miserable to be around and hence, are not marriage material. society, in general, has completely devalued the concept of being married "for better or worse". its much more acceptible to give up these days. if you have kids, they are the ones that truly suffer---and i can tell you personally, that's what sucks when it comes to my situation.
  20. Now that I drive my kids to school/everywhere, and have them half the time, I need a practical car that can seat three kids in the backseat. As much as I love the gtr, the kids are cramped, and I miss the sound of a v8. Charger Hellcat? Or e63 amg-s? Lol.
  21. Very cool. Needs bigger fartpipe. Never seen an exhaust pipe that small
  22. Who's ready for some 100-250mph rolls? The callout was to Jaime, who is likely 2-3 cars beyond the original callout
  23. Tuning a car up won't necessarily give it more oomph. Tuning a car up means helping ensure it continues to run properly. Yes, mustang parts are largely interchangeable with your vehicle. Might I suggest finding a specific car forum for the car you own? Might I also suggest not sinking too much money into this car. Use it as transportation. In terms of a paint job, maybe deal with the rust (sanding/bondo) and plastidip that bitch. Cheap, easy, and will likely look decent.
