the tester should connect to your radiator where the cap goes and it will have a hand pump pump it to 15-20psi then walk away for about 30min come back and if it went down you have a leak.

Sohc and LS/B20 rev limits are 7,200. dohc vtec's rev to 8,400. as far as the issues fix the coolant issue first like i stated do a coolant pressure test it will tell you if there is a leak in the system. Also do a leak down test. in the mean time find and fix the oil leak. un till these are done then you can focus on vtec. is the car a wiring nightmare? electrical tape evey where on the engine harness or ecu plugs?

inspect the cap and if you can get access do a coolant pressure test. takes about 15min.

Das honda uses all aluminum blocks and heads i cant think of a motor that has cast maybe in the 70's. the aluminum will warp faster then the cast actually. this is why you should always straight edge your head and block before re assembly. O and use OEM head gasket.

1. check the radiator cap (occasionally they do break down and need replaced). 2. check the radiator around the end tanks and fins for any leaks or holes. 3. Like josh said are you running a overflow? 4. Does your fan kick on (common problem with hondas, 98% of hondas have previous owners rig the fan to work). 5. Do leak down test to see if you need a headgasket.

if your getting rid of it i would just buy a cheap exhaust of Clist and have someone weld you a test pipe. i literally just cut an exhaust of a DC integra like yours today.

check the oil for signs of coolant, do leak down test. do you hear the fan kick on?
