How long do you typically play Forza? An hour? Two? Ok, hold your arms out in front of you for that long without a wheel to grab on to. Yeah.. Have fun with that. :gabe: There won't be a good wheel for F4 because MS stopped production on their FF wheel and won't license anyone else (or charges too much for a license) to make a good FF wheel. Now with MS trying to push Kinect, they have even less incentive to have anyone make a decent wheel. MS gave up the racing sim war when they stopped making their wheel. And what really sucks about that is that I think Forza is better than GT.

Too bad there won't be a good wheel for it.

If you're just looking for a fun DD, a WRX is a great choice. (Just stay away from the 08s. 07 or 09 is fine, just not the 08) A turbo-back exhaust and a tune will wake it up considerably and still be reliable. In the future, if you want to go for big power with a big turbo, you can always swap in an STI transmission. If you want to go for big power right out of the box, start with an STI.

They were using the BGE grills on Pitmasters. Apparently they really like to hang on to lighting fluid fumes, so always use a chimney starter. I would love to pick up or build a smoker. But I really don't need another hobby. At most, I want to pick up a simple little grill for the back of the ambulance.

The increase in standby battery life is worth it. I'll forget to charge it at night sometimes and I'll still have 60-70% battery in the morning.

It would be nice if there was a standard imposed. Subaru "cheated" quite a bit, even though they were racing themselves. The 'Ring STI had a Spec-C engine and a couple other "tweaks." :fuuuu:

To veer this thread even further OT: So, you're saying that Function and Form are mutually exclusive. That you cannot have one without the other. I disagree. The perfect blending of both Form and Function has to be Aston Martin DB series. Hell, I think the 2010+ Ford Fusion has more character from behind than most Audi's. Now, once you start messing with the Audis they can look really great. Perfect example is that Stasis modified S4 from earlier in the thread. Fill out the fenders with some real tire, give it just a nudge downwards to give it a wider proportion, and change out the stock peashooters for something that looks like it'll breathe and you get a 100% improvement. And might I remind the peanut gallery, I was not the one that brought hood scoops and wings into this discussion. Not once have I suggested Audi should add wings.

And they are not boring. Well, the 08+ Imprezas are kinda boring... But you can't be awesome(ly ugly) all the time.

Not boring. I'll grant you that.. Ugly though. I don't like the profile. Look at any of their sedans. Starting from front to rear, their styling goes like this: Ooh, sweet front end. Very aggressive. Ok, a little more conservative around the door area..... Ehh, Rear half.. is.. very..... zzzzZZZZZZZZZ And then you fall over, bored to death.

I do have one question though... Audi makes awesome looking race cars. Why do they make such boring looking street cars?

It really is. It's one thing to make a highly stung race car go for an hour and a half or even two hours, but it's quite another to get it to go for 24 hours. Not to mention, they aren't just covering 200 or 500 miles, but well over 3000. The 2010 Le Mans literally would have run from coast to coast across the US (3352 miles); and in 1 day! Unbelievable. The cooling requirements alone are mind boggling. On the WRX, I have a radiator that's 50% larger than stock with high capacity fans that are constantly running on high, heat vents in the hood, and as much as possible cut away from in front of the radiator and I was still gaining heat on just a 3 MINUTE run this past weekend. The engineering involved is mindboggling.

Apparently Audi makes Confetti launchers now. :gabe: The amount of debris those cars turned into was amazing.

One show I don't think it's possible to duplicate is Oddities. I love that show. The shop and the items they deal with are neat and weird, but what makes the show are the customers. The owners of the shop are more normal than a lot of these people. I love it. Some of these people are just plain creepy.
