    IE 9 WOW!

    Chrome. Never liked FireFox.
  2. No AWD without changing the chassis. The engine is too far back to use Subaru's AWD transmissions. As for the higher output Subaru versions, we'll have to wait and see (as I bet Subaru is doing). I bet they're going to let Toyota, the larger company, take the risk and see how the FT does first.
  3. Lottery numbers, duh. But also: Don't stop cycling, it's the only thing keeping you from getting fat. Fuck college, it's a waste of time and money for you. Go into the military, you need the discipline. Just do the minimum stint. You have more important things to do after. When you get out of the military, take your lottery winnings, buy a '67 stingray, and spend as much time as possible with Dad rebuilding it. The rest of the world can fucking wait, he can't.
  4. Weight distribution as mentioned above. But also, the boxer has a much lower height. This lets the car have a lower hood while at the same time meeting pedestrian impact standards which state there has to be X distance (7cm I think) between the hood and the top of the engine. I like the boxer design, personally. Plugs are difficult, but no more than (and possibly easier than) doing plugs on an LS1 f-body. But they have a low CG, are naturally balanced, and can be reasonably torquey in N/A trim. People just have to remember that the FT isn't supposed to run with the Mustangs and Corvettes. It's not a replacement for the Supra. The point of this car is to make a fun, nimble, relatively low-cost RWD sportscar. 0-60 will likely be in the 6s, and 1/4mi will be 14s at best. Think more Miata style performance. The FT will occupy a very different niche. I doubt serious buyers will cross-shop a 180hp $20K RWD coupe with a 300hp $35K AWD sedan. That said, car manufacturers have made enough inconceivable decisions in the past that I put nothing past them.
  5. Personally, I think 2142 was the pinnacle of the series. But I'm in a minority there.
  6. That was a really fun course. I looked forward to that puddle on every run. It was in the perfect spot on the exit of that corner. I could stand on the throttle and let the car push because I knew I could hit that wet pavement and get the car to straighten out and gain some revs at the same time. Oh yeah, and I f'n LOVE my car. EDIT: Just looked at the times. I would have been third in SMS bu less than 0.01sec, which would have put me in the top third in PAX. That's better than I was expecting. If I was serious about competing, I'd swap out my ALK and go play in SMS.
  7. I'm not a fan of fighting games, but I've always liked Tekken. This looks awesome.
  8. Innovate sells some good ones. I think Jegs carries a couple too. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/xcart/home.php?cat=273
  9. I was very interested in the FT-86 until I heard about FFR's Project 818. But the FT still interests me some. If it has a Subaru block, I'm sure pretty much any subaru engine will bolt right in. And with all the room ahead of the engine, I don't think it'd be too difficult to shoehorn Subaru's new front mount turbo in there either. The FT should have a lot of modding potential. As for a LS under the hood, I don't see why not. Those things get shoved into everything.
  10. Man, I wonder what bet he lost....
  11. These come loaded with tons of crap that's constantly running. If you dont' need it, disable it. GPS, WiFi, Background Data, etc. My phone is very comfortable, I have a few widgets on the home page, one is a weather widget, I also have Live wallpaper, and I read eBooks on my TB also, and I still have 50% battery life at the end of a work day. I accidentally left it unplugged last night and it still had 90% battery left. So it can be made to last. Just not set up as it comes from the factory. Stock settings = 6 hour battery life at most.

  13. Grassroots Motorsports was called on a similar rule in the $2007 challenge. The rule stated that only production cars could be used, with the exception of Zambonis. Well, one team used this loophole to get a custom tube-frame chassis, Mustang 5.0 powered, push-rod suspension, Zamboni into the competition.
  14. I remember WWF.. Been a long time. At one show, Ted Dibiase "The Million Dollar Man" brought this girl up into the ring to prove that "everyone has a price." I think he was going to get her to kiss his boots or something. But I think he just picked up some random woman off the street and wound up with a hooker because he's standing up there waving a wad of cash asking "you know what I want you to do?" And even though she didn't have a mic, you can clearly read her lips when she says "Give you a blow-job?"
  15. lol.. I should get one for my WRX that's higher than stock.
  16. Oh, and when is he going to send a letter to Sir Mix-A-Lot's lawyers?
  17. Aprils fools or not, Caffeine & Gasoline has my vote! Two things I can't live without. I know Cars & Coffee has name recognition, but I think they'll be saying "Damn, we should have thought of that." when they hear of Caffeine & Gasoline. :bangbang:
  18. Holy shit, this thread is hilarious. There's should be link to here in the LOL thread.
  19. Icons or NeoForms. I have Icons on all of my cars now, but I plan to go to NeoForms on the Legacy next because they are slightly lower profile. The Icons lift the wiper arm a bit too high for my taste. I think the beam blade type of wipers are more susceptible to dirt than the bracketed style because the pressure across the wiping edge is more even. Wiping the blades clean with a little rubbing alcohol helps them a lot.
  20. How much you want to bet that guy demands a full cage in any car he drives for them again? Is it me or does that look like a drag radial?
  21. Slightly OT, but I love Taiko drumming.
  22. Is that a Johnny Cash song they're using for the ads?
