Two days. Same course, just backwards the second day. 11 total runs. I swear times were indirectly related to the size of a driver's balls. There were so many parts where you're thinking "Should I lift? Can I stay on the throttle here? DARE I?" On a side note, the drivers of the Paseo need to get to a RallyX. I swear a couple times I saw that car in the process of spinning with at least one wheel in the air only to miraculously stabilze and chug off to the next corner. Made me want to buy a hilariously cheap beater to AutoX like a madman.

Maybe I should rethink my stance on sway bars for the BRZ: This was the first turn on Sat which was at the top of 1st. I wasn't even pushing hard, just feathering the throttle in 2nd to get to the exit. The course was fun with a lot of power-on sections. I was almost hitting the rev limiter at the top of the slalom on Sat, and was bouncing off it hard halfway through the slalom on Sun.

It was a lot of fun. I managed third in my barely prepped BRZ behind a fully prepped RX8. Makes me wonder how I'd stand if I had a prepped car.. But I went down that road with RallyX, no need to start all over again.

The uploader of the video seems adamant that it was only 3rd gear. Uh-huh... right.

I have to say though.. DOX BRZ would be pretty damn awesome.

Yeah, I think that curve and this car is a match made in heaven. We'll see. I'm pretty much set on getting this.

Stock BRZs dyno around 165 which is about right for a manual RWD car with 200hp at the flywheel. That puts the final number closer to 250 at the wheels which is a little north of 290 at the flywheel. The torque numbers are already adjusted to be at the flywheel (silly Aussies) but seem to be about 7% low. But this kit has never been about peak numbers. It's the area under the curve that it excels at.

Every dealership is going to try and milk you for the 2013s. The 2014s are coming and they'll be a bit more available. Cooling is turning out to be an issue with steady use of FI. But there's already a radiator/oil cooler option available. As for boosted reliability, these engines are holding up. There's one destroyed engine on FT-86 club but that has been backtracked to an installation issue with the wastegate. Accelerated Performance has a fully built BRZ making 750hp, and it's not an EJ swap.

Wish they had captured them instead of killing them. Then they could be condemned to Life. If they want to die, then make them live. Strap them down, hook them up to machines to keep them alive, and then leave them alone in a room until natural brain death. Fuck paying $40K a year to jail a guy for carrying a joint. Put that money towards giving people like this the most horrific life, not death, they can imagine.

Much as he's a crusty old fogey, the last few years of F1 have been really good to watch; 7 winners in 7 races last year! And while COTA isn't really his doing, it was built and approved on his watch. But yeah, might be time to hand off the reins...

Interesting that it is for 2015. I don't remember hearing that the new engine specs were pushed back a year. Which would mean that McLaren would be running the new Mercedes engine for only one year.

The verbal harassment might have been over the top. But I don't see the radios to coordinate efforts as being illegal in any way. There's no law against paying for another person's lunch, so there should be no issue with paying for another person's parking.
