  1. I would go with the RL, but I am biased toward Hondas. Why do you say the TL/TSX are too small? My wife has an 08 TSX and we have had 4 adults in it very comfortably (2 of us are over 6' tall) on multiple occasions. I ask this because I can't imagine a TL being too small for a normal size family.
  2. Iowa played a lot better game against Wisconsin than OSU, so I doubt that'll matter too much.
  3. Be thankful you don't have to use vacation just to have Christmas and Thanksgiving days off.
  4. That's funny, the guy that drove this for The Wilds is my parents neighbor. I used to see this truck whenever I went to their house.
  5. Call me. As you know, those speakers were mine at one point and I had the original MTX box they came in for years. They were pretty damn loud for 10's . I'll help you figure it out. BTW, what happened to the third one?
  6. I know exactly how you feel, I just paid my car off on Friday. What a great day that was.
  7. I had the same issue with an 03 S10 4x4. I replaced the front pads (ceramic) and rotors twice, but still had the squeal. I ended up putting brake quiet on the backs of the pads even though the box said not to and never had any issues from then on.
  8. Great read. I can't even remember how many times my dad and I have bought and driven home similar heaps. We never had quite that much trouble though.
  9. I know several people who have used the Ditra underlayment instead of cement board and liked it a lot better. You don't have to screw it down every 4 inches, you just lay mortar and then lay the membrane.
  10. This is not always the case. When I started to tell the officer what I had done to repair the car, he said he didn't need to know any of that. I could have put it back together with wood screws. No questions at all about how it was fixed. The ONLY thing they were concerned with was making sure the VIN's for all of the replaced parts matched the receipts for those parts. Basically they're making sure you haven't put it back together with stolen parts. You can have a gaping hole in the center of the steering wheel where the airbag used to be and they don't care. Maybe it depends on which location you take it to, but from my experiences it's not a safety inspection.
  11. Big thanks to Dave for enduring my never ending calls for parts and always giving me a good deal. Thanks again buddy!
  12. 3M makes a good aerosol adhesive remover.
  13. I'm going to Carlisle and won't be back until Saturday. We can probably set something up for Sunday or Monday though.
  14. What year(s) Civic are you looking for?
  15. $65 for the springs $185 for the spindles and front end parts. To be exact, you'd get all 4 tie rod ends, adjusting sleeves, idler arm, control arms with ball joints, calipers, brake hoses, sway bar bushings, Monroe shocks.
  16. I am going a different route with a Jimmy project I have been working on, so I have some things I need to get rid of. I have a set of late '90's S10 ZQ8 wheels with 235/60/16 Goodyear tires. The wheels are in good shape, no corrosion, but one does have a few small curb marks on the lips, not very noticeable though. I do have both the Chevy and GMC center caps. The tires are Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max 235/60/16. The fronts have less than 3,000 miles on them, and the rears only have about 200 miles on them (the rears were replaced under warranty). Asking $500 OBO for the set. I also have a set of S10 Belltech 2" drop spindles, DJM 1" drop coil springs, and Belltech 3" blocks with a 2 degree taper. They have been used for less than 3,000 miles as well. Asking $225 for the set. I have all of the front suspension pieces (tie rod ends, control arms with new balljoints, idler arm, shocks, calipers, etc.) that I replaced and also have less than 3,000 miles on them. I know they aren't worth much, but I hate to scrap a bunch of good parts if someone can get some use out of them. We'll say $50 for all of that stuff, but let me know what you need and we'll work something out. Last, if you want a complete '85 2wd Blazer/Jimmy rolling chassis (no body) with all of the above parts plus a rearend, come and roll it away for $650. The truck is a southern truck, so the frame and components have very very light surface rust, nothing like you'd find from up here. Thanks for looking.
  17. True, you do have to create a rough surface if you have new or smooth metal. They're pretty clear about that on their website and on the can of paint, though.
  18. POR 15 works well, too. I've used it many times with good results. In fact, I just finished a truck frame with it last week. I'll get some pics before I put the body on.

    Flight 587

It's not the first Airbus to have the vertical stabilizer (tail) depart the aircraft in flight. I remember photos of a complete vertical stab. being fished out of the ocean from Air France 447 that crashed in May 2009. Some of the attachment points (and on some models, the entire stabilizer) are a composite material and have been looked at as a problem area. Although the cause of the 447 is undetermined, it seems odd that the only large piece of the aircraft recovered was the tail.
