  1. I'd give Black's Springs in Zanesville a call. I've used them a few times for leaf spring rearching and I'm sure if can be done they could do it.
  2. I didn't even pay attention to the OP's location..lol. Yeah, I wouldn't drive all that way to get rotors turned either.
  3. Call Dave (gas, grass, or ass) at O'Reilly's in Westerville.
  4. I have a set of 305 TPI heads laying around you're more than welcome to have if you'd like.
  5. A cheap GM replacement engine from many years ago. They weren't new engines (like today's crate engines), mostly engines that failed QC for the production run and then were reworked.
  6. This. My Plymouth had this on it for years.
  7. I haven't had anything done for a few years, but Quality Window Tint always did great work for me.
  8. 737's, MD 80-88's are narrow body. 747, 767, etc are widebodies, or jumbo jets.
  9. Being a 3rd party site generally has nothing to do with the fact that you'd be flying on a regional jet/turbo prop. It's not like Delta (or whoever)has a 737 sitting on the ramp for those who booked on their site and a CRJ 200 regional jet right next to it for those who booked on Expedia both going to the same city. The airlines use passenger traffic numbers to determine which markets they're going to serve with regional jets. Granted, if you book on the actual airline site, you may have more flight options from certain cities to choose from and therefore avoid a regional, but a lot of markets are only served by regionals these days. Unfortunately for us, Columbus isn't a booming air travel market hence the reason for so many regional jets here. Good luck flying out of Columbus on a "jumbo jet", as nobody flies widebodies here (with the exception of the President, diversions, or charters), and haven't done so for years.
  10. They had issues with starting when hot, but that is all that I know of (not to say there aren't other issues).
  11. I have an 83 K10 with the 6.2 and a 700r4. I have had it for almost 5 years now and done nothing to it but change fluids and filters. Mine was a former airport truck (from 1983-2005), and I personally witnessed it get the living hell beat out of it day in day out for several years and it never missed a beat. Plus it gets 19-20 mpg on the highway. They get a bad rap because people compare them to late model, turbocharged Cummins, Internationals, etc. That's like comparing apples to oranges. It isn't a modern design, it's not turbocharged, and therefore lacks the power advantages of more modern engines (just like anything else). Also, people often lump these engines in with the garbage 5.7 diesel, when in fact, the 6.2 was a ground up design from Detroit Diesel. I wouldn't recommend one if you're looking for a ton of power, but for a good running older truck that gets better mileage than the gas version, you'd be fine.
  12. Funny this came up, I rented one yesterday, first location I called in Gahanna had one available, $44.95. No issues this time, but I've experienced the same difficulty as Scott did in the past.
  13. Did they give a time limit on how old the appraisals could be? I bought my current house at the end of March/beginning of April so I have the appraisals from then. There's about a 100k difference between what I paid and what it's listed at.
  14. Do you know how many bad ass cars out there were $500 beaters at one point in time?
  15. Had the driveshaft for my Jimmy straightened, balanced ,and new Spicer u joints installed for $120 at Columbus Joint and Clutch. Can't go wrong with them.
  16. Call me when you want to go, that's like 5 miles away from me.
  17. Wow, I really like the S10 grille. It really compliments the flat lavender/lime green paint. What a piece of shit.
  18. You should've actually read my post before adding me to your list. I never said that pads couldn't melt or adhere to the rotor. I was simply reinforcing the fact that a rotor can actually warp, or become untrue.
  19. Nah, with the new place and too many other projects going on, I just don't have the time or desire right now. Plus, I'm thinking lsx if I ever do anything.
  20. If you had ever turned a set of rotors (or drums) on a brake lathe, you wouldn't be arguing this. Explain this: You have set of rotors on a brake lathe and can actually watch the ventilation channel (where the fins are) move side to side. Is the pad material that you say is deposited on the pad surface of the rotor creating this optical illusion?
  21. I have a brand new Edelbrock TPI lower intake (PN 3860) for sale. I bought this for my Trans Am several years ago and just never got around to installing it. Plans have since changed, so here it is for sale. Asking $250. Jegs sells it for $411 (plus tax). Same thing, brand new, never used. I can email pics if interested. Thanks for looking.
  22. My folks have an 07 Envoy. Other than having to replace a front hub bearing at 45K, it's been a good vehicle for them. I have driven it quite a bit and enjoy driving it. They tow their 21 ft. Rinker with it and it does very well. I did test drive an 07 TBSS last year, and I must say that it was way more fun to drive though.
  23. 4x4 = more expensive to purchase, more things to break, more fuel consumed, etc. If you don't really need it, I wouldn't buy it. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have around here for the winter, but certainly not a necessity. I definitely wouldn't buy one for the situation you described.
  24. Ohio Auto Kolor. I go to the one in Newark (super nice people), but I believe there is still one on Ferris as well. They sell PPG and should be able to get you what you need.
