  2. Couple posts from the Scout "premium" board I've been meaning to share. Basically about Meyer's continuous ramping up of the competitive nature in the program... First one is from DaddyBuiltRacing's favorite... nevadabuck! Regarding changes to "the walk" to the stadium... Next one from a former player. Think he was an OL in the early- to mid-90's.
  3. OSU had Tennessee and UGA scheduled but had to cancel UT because of the B1G moving to a 9-game conference schedule starting in 2017 and the UGA series because of the B1G-Pac 12 agreement which I believe is no longer happening. But they've got Vandy next season. So there's that. Gonna be in my mid-30's when these Texas games happen.
  4. And with the failure that was Scout--->FoxSportsNext they have reverted back to the old site style for the time being...lol.
  5. Most points for OSU in a B1G game since '83. Bad news on the recruiting front... 4-star QB commit JT Barrett out of Texas had an MRI on his knee on Saturday and it was revealed that he tore his ACL, MCL and meniscus. Says he's looking for a second opinion because he's been walking around on it fine with no pain...lol. Please don't pull a Booby Miles, JT.
  6. Just need a couple young guys to step up. Curtis Grant has essentially disappeared which sucks but Marcus, Perkins, Perry and Williams have all had some playing time either filling in when guys get hurt or on ST. Perry seems to have the edge right now but should be an interesting battle for a few weeks with real playing time on the line. Just need Bino back by the Wisconsin game.
  7. I hope that kicker walks off a cliff like USC's did a while back. And yes, the new Scout forums are a disaster. Half of the premium subscribers are on the new site, half are still holding strong on the old one. Including nevada. He couldn't even figure out how to log into the new one until earlier today and came back and says he's not going over there until everything is figured out...lol.
  8. Gonna toot my own horn as well since I also called Florida and WVU winning. I do think the WVU game was a little closer than I anticipated but at the same time WVU was more impressive than I expected. Overcame a turnover that directly resulted in a TD and were actually down for most of the 2nd half. And all of that on the road. Watching that game for a bit before the OSU game started I was reminded of watching Troy toss the ball around to Teddy and Gonzo in Austin back in 2006. Texas hasn't done anything of note since McCoy went down in the title game against Bama.
  9. First quarter was a god damn nightmare. I got up from where I was sitting and came to my computer to let the rage of other Buckeye fans cheer me up. Then everything just went crazy. Loved the final TD too... :lolguy:
  10. Right with you on that. OSU's offense is going to have to be firing on all cylinders because I think it's going to be a B1G shootout. So not 70-63 like WVU-Baylor last week but I could see the losing team right around 30.
  11. Southward officially gone citing personal reasons. We hardly knew ye.
  12. Sounds like Jamie Wood is done due to shoulder injuries now as well. Scholarships just opening up daily at this juncture.
  13. He was a very strange commitment. Committed the day before Meyer was officially announced almost like he was trying to secure his spot before Meyer could "un-offer" him.
  14. Looks like it's definitely Southward but the drug test thing may have been BS. Kid just feels too far from home and may have left the team on his own. Could very well change his mind (like Chris Fields did in the spring) so nothing concrete yet.
  15. Wasn't any mention in today's post-practice update from Meyer, etc. either. One of the recruiting guys on 247 said today that James Quick is actually quietly favoring OSU. Publicly he puts Louisville first to keep hometown pressure off but those close to him all believe he really favors OSU. That would be nice. Most people already consider Gibson in (as long as whatever he has to take care of is taken care of) so Gibson, Quick, Marshall, Zeke, etc., etc. Loading up on the potential playmakers Meyer needs for his offense to run the way he wants it to.
  16. Haha... I tried to get it off the Lolo shit with my post about someone being off the team, potentially. And from the sound of it my guess might be right. Ozone saying it's a WR I guess? Only freshmen WR's are Southward (who hasn't played), Epitropolous (also hasn't played and may be the punter moving forward) and Michael Thomas. Thomas is scary because I really like him. He had a monster spring game and I think moving forward he could be a great slot WR. We don't really have that right now. We have 2 big outside guys (Spencer and Smith), a hybrid who can't seem to shake a tackle (Philly) and some other guys who really don't play. Thomas was catching tons of stuff over the middle in the spring game. Seemed Sanzenbacher-like in the way he was constantly finding ways to get open in the zone. Also, Thomas was not on the travel roster for the MSU game. He actually was there but for some reason he was left off the roster given to the media before the game.
  17. And I'm sure LJ or someone else saw the post on 11W. Supposedly Urban had the entire freshman class drug tested recently and as a result one player is gone. Probably someone who hasn't played yet. Hope it's not Dodson. My guess would be Southward.
  18. The most ridiculous part to me was how she wasn't even sorry after the whole thing. I don't know Lolo's media history but I get the impression from others that this isn't the first stupid thing she's done.
  19. You guys see Lolo Jones responding to a joke tweet from Eric LeGrand? Here's the most important parts... Basically, Eric LeGrand (former Rutgers football player who is paralyzed) jokingly challenged her to a race. She talked shit back to him. People called her out on it as they should. And she still doesn't get it. Figured it fit here since most people in this thread will understand how ridiculous it is since we all know who Eric LeGrand is.
  20. Was fantastic. Granted OSU wins against Wisconsin that should be a nice handshake as well.
  21. Yep, Braxton is still making the wrong decisions with regards to the read option and the simple fact that he tends to decide who he's going to throw to before the ball is even snapped. But he's a sophomore who has only been getting real QB coaching for about 6 months now (going back to spring practice since before that was just winter conditioning and Sicilololololiano). Once he's fully matured in that regard and there are multiple Jalin Marshall's and Jake Stoneburner's and Devin Smith's lining up all around him then... it's gonna be nice. Talking college football stuff with some friends and wanted to point out the exact moment I started to dislike Urban at UF because of how smug and arrogant he was and I found it... They had 1 loss at the time and just squeaked by an unranked South Carolina team by blocking a last second FG and he responds to that question with "Of course we do." I still remember thinking what a douchebag he was that night...lol. HE'S OUR SMUG, ARROGANT DOUCHEBAG NOW THOUGH. AND I LOVE IT.
  22. I think had Hyde or Hall stayed healthy one of them may have made it. I think Hyde and the OL are going to really dominate the rest of the season (again, if Hyde can stay healthy). And Urban talked about that 1,000 yard stat maybe before the season started. Think he had a back at Utah with 996 or 998 or something one year...lol. Then he admitted he just couldn't find a power back at Florida. At least not one who was worth taking the ball out of Tebow's hands for. I like the offense. I see what it wants to do and what it can become. And I see that its design is part of what is making the OL look good. They aren't making dumb mistakes but at the same time they're being helped along by the design of the offense. I don't think the talent on this OL is better than last year's but thanks to the play calling they look a LOT better. They lose guys like Brewster and Adams (I know Brewster has started at least a couple games for Jacksonville and I know Adams went in for an injured guy against the Broncos in week 1) and look this much better? That's an insane statement as to how bad the offensive line coaching and play calling was at least last year.
