Some scary stats about the defense... OSU is 86th in the country when it comes to 20+ yard plays allowed OSU is 97th in the country when it comes to 30+ yard plays allowed OSU is 110th in the country when it comes to 40+ yard plays allowed OSU is 118th in the country when it comes to 50+ yard plays allowed Just 2 years ago under Tressel/Heacock OSU was 10th, 1st, 1st, and 1st in those same categories. Also, Braxton "He's an OK/decent player" Miller is catching up to Geno in ESPN's Heisman Watch... http://espn.go.com/college-football/heisman/index Unless his stats drop off suddenly or he gets hurt (very possible) it's hard to see him not being invited to NYC in December. Just the experience and recognition of being invited would be an awesome reward for a kid who can't go to a bowl game through no fault of his own.

That's the zombie baby from the Dawn of the Dead remake.

lol... I love the comment section. People couldn't care less about the injured officers. All about politics.
-
I don't care about seriousness. I just don't think they're funny and they don't seem to know much about sports.

double poooooooooooost This site's been acting like a faggot lately too.

Wish they would have thrown Wiltshire in there at some point. They maybe kinda did with the neighborhood Andrea and Shane checked out in that one episode last season but they could have easily shown them there either at the beginning of season 2 or the beginning of season 3. In the comics they were at Wiltshire in the winter so it would have been perfect for the beginning of this season instead of skipping 3-4 months and they still haven't found the prison that was right behind them in the season 2 finale...lolololol. I want the show to be good so badly then you go back to writing gaffes like that and just have to laugh.

4 team playoff starts in 2014. And we've had all this discussion before. I think 4 is perfectly fine. And I think they're probably happy with that and expecting the 4 superconferences in the future.

Woodbury, not Wiltshire Estates. Doesn't look like they're going to incorporate the Rick/Glen going after the chopper thing from the comics. From the previews/trailers it looks like there's the crash and Michonne/Andrea run into the Woodbury people. Very different from the way it went down in the comics.

Didn't say I thought OSU was being hated on. Just that they aren't getting some kind of preferential treatment in the rankings due to Urban being here.
-
We'll see. They have a TON of good stuff to work with from the comics with regards to the prison. And they're supposedly going to spend the next season and a half there (24 episodes). I was worried they weren't going to run into any survivors in the prison like they did in the comic but showing them at the end there was very promising. Then showing stuff in the preview for the next episode/rest of the season with Rick saying someone's playing games... for those who have read the comics you may know some of the "games" that go on in the prison.
-
At this point I think it has to be a style thing. They want everything to look a little shitty. Probably helps mask any bad makeup/effects too.
-
I don't disagree with that. Just saying it's not like Urban's Buckeyes are getting any sort of preferential treatment here. They're the lowest ranked 7-0 OSU team in the history of the program. And they've probably earned that...lol.
-
Ehh... I don't know about that. OSU at 6-0 being ranked 8th in the country was already the lowest OSU has ever been ranked as a 6-0 team. I'm sure at 7-0, 7th is the lowest OSU has ever been ranked as well.

I think with the last 1 1/2 episodes last season they got back on the right track. And I think they continued here. Not a great episode and honestly it felt a bit rushed/crammed. I thought what they ended up covering in this first episode would have been stretched out over 3-4 episodes. But maybe that's just me adjusting to this new pace compared to the awful pace and content of season 2. I think I knew I'd feel this way the whole time. They wasted soooo much time on the farm last season with nothing happening and now a ton of shit is going to happen with the prison, etc. and no matter what I'm going to go back and be like... man I wish they would have spent more time on this instead of 6 episodes searching for a little girl no one gave a shit about.

Have never heard or read that Withers is calling the plays. Fickell is the one making $750k. He's being paid at elite DC level and this defense isn't anywhere close to elite. Plain and simple.
-
OSU's defense is... interesting. I think it's a combination of the spread thing (the quick passes really neutralize our DL then our back 7 outside of Roby and sometimes Howard is generally awful) and the defense kinda packing it in the last 10 minutes of the game. I mean, that game went on for a while. All the reviews and injuries and penalties... took a full 4 hours. You see you're up 2 TD's in the 4th with about 5 minutes left and the other team is sending in their freshmen just to get some experience and you relax a bit. I think it's clear that Urban hates the Fickell/Heacock way of playing defense. And Fickell is not nearly as good at calling the defense as Heacock was. I don't think Urban can look at that defense and see anything but what he and his team were able to do to it in the national title game.
-
He's not having an awful game. Still on pace for nearly 400 yards through the air. Pretty funny I actually stopped watching that game when WVU scored their first TD because they looked like regular old WVU at that point. Also funny that this game still isn't anywhere near out of WVU's reach with what their offense is capable of.

A Pickerington guy posted it first on Scout's "insiders" forum. Then nevada came in and confirmed as most of the forum called the original poster a troll...lol. I don't think he's going to get a ton of snaps because Indiana runs a spread so OSU will be in nickel even more than usual. Maybe he's got a good nose for screens? Indiana LOVES them some screens and OSU has been awful against them so far this season. I really don't know how to interpret it though. Are the young LB's that bad? Are they trying to just get Zach on the field more since he's a senior and a kid Meyer really likes and they just don't use the FB enough? Has the staff essentially given up on Curtis Grant?
