I know Woodson is the exception which is why I think it's funny that his Heisman is one of the most complained about...lol. You're complaining that more people like him should win but you do a poll around the country and his Heisman would be one of the least liked. Bush over Young (which ended up "vacated" anyways) would be another but they're RB/QB so I didn't use it.

Is that really such a bad thing though? If you're the best team in the country then typically you're going to have a QB or RB who are pretty instrumental in your team's success. Are they the sole reason you're the "best" team in the country? Not likely. But they're a huge reason and I think the Heisman gets it right much more than it gets it wrong. I mean, the biggest Heisman "blunder" people talk about is Manning not getting it in 1997 when a non-QB, non-RB in Charles Woodson won it...lol.

Not sure if anyone read/heard about the twitter ban OSU tried to impose a while back with regards to Urban's press conferences. Basically they just wanted to ban people tweeting what was being said during the press conferences as they happened. Lots of people thought this was dumb, OSU would have a hard time enforcing it, Meyer was a control freak, etc., etc. It was lifted the next day after OSU decided it was indeed stupid. People made jokes about it and Meyer having a "change of heart" like he did when he resigned from Florida the first time. Turns out the only reason it ever existed was because the Dispatch begged OSU to do it because they're sick of people beating them to reporting stuff via social media. OSU tried to be nice to them and do it but in the end it was just too stupid. Only bringing this up because yesterday Meyer had his teleconference and someone brought it up. Another nice exchange from yesterday's teleconference... Bianchi is an Urban troll (think Hooley to Tressel during Tressel's time here) and they do not like each other.

I don't have a problem with Alabama moving up to #1. They played in what was hyped up as a marquee showdown (even though anyone with half a brain knew Michigan was going to lose and potentially lose badly - I knew Bama would put up at least 40 but wasn't entirely sure how inept Michigan would look offensively) and no one near the top really played anyone of note. And I agree with your thoughts on South Carolina. SEC should just have their own rankings at this point. Oh, also worth noting, OSU moved up 4 spots despite Andy Staples' mistake of leaving OSU off his ballot completely. Some people left OSU off because they just don't want to rank OSU/don't think OSU is good/whatever. He left OSU off accidentally because he submitted his poll at about 3:30AM...lol.

That question actually ended up on some news broadcast where they tried to discredit the whole thing by showing one of the most ridiculous questions.

I think a big problem was how well you guys did last year messed with a lot of your fans' perception of how good you really are. You had some special seniors on defense last season but they're all gone and Hoke hasn't been there long enough to really build up quality depth for your team yet. I heard someone post-game pointing this out and bringing Michigan/your fans back to reality... it's still going to take another year or two for Hoke and Co. to bring Michigan back to true national prominence. I think early on the playcalling looked pretty good. Denard just missed his throws which goes right back to what you said about him not really advancing as a passer.

Thinking more about it, that was a good win for MSU. Yeah, BSU lost a lot after last season but so did MSU and this was 1 of BSU's what? 2 serious games all season? They do this every year where they have a "marquee" matchup or two where they have weeks if not months to prepare for one opponent. So if that's the best they could muster and MSU overcame what? 4 turnovers? Then that's not awful. Was an awful game to watch really aside from admiring the workhorse that was Leveon Bell but it's definitely not a bad win for MSU.

Probably a pretty solid upset pick there. Clemson is never as good as they should be. Not sure what to think of Auburn though. Malzahn was the brains of that operation. I don't think there's any way the SEC champion isn't in the NCG. It's all about figuring out their opponent. WVU would get run off the field. Oklahoma would ball up in the fetal position as per usual. FSU simply won't be there. We never got to see USC vs. SEC when USC was at its peak. I don't know just how good USC will really be this year but I tend to believe they could stick with an SEC team. Obviously no one from the B1G needs to be discussed. Bama is going to put up at least 40 on Michigan on Saturday and I'd say it's 50/50 that Denard finishes the game.

Will be interesting to see if USC doesn't choke at some point like they did all through the mid-00's. They have admitted depth issues due to the sanctions (which will only get worse over the next few years) so they're already going into games planning on resting guys/trying to avoid injuries. Oklahoma is another known choke artist. And FSU just hasn't lived up to the hype in about 20 years. I have no idea who I expect to be in the NCG. Not really concerned with it since last year's was such a joke and OSU isn't eligible this year.

Going for it on 4th down like that is going to become more and more common moving forward. There are a few very, very successful HS teams around the country who have been doing it for years. Just imagine what it does to your playcalling knowing you're going to have 4 downs for 10 instead of 3. Urban/Herman seem very stat-oriented as well (Urban loving the punt block stat, Herman talking about the 2 first downs stat a lot) so I wouldn't be surprised to see OSU doing it a lot too. And I missed the SC game but from what I read Vandy got kinda screwed at the end with a blatantly missed PI call? Lots of people just saying it's the SEC protecting one of its top 10 teams as per usual.

Had them for ~10 months. The whole bandwidth sharing thing between all your services is awful. Once you have more than 2 HD feeds going at once (watching or recording) you're eating into your internet bandwidth if you have their highest profile and fastest internet service.

U-verse is like poopy balls IMO.

I did notice the guy closest to the camera twitching (first his leg then his arm) but the dude who was on fire looked like he was repeatedly trying to lift himself up/away from the metal from about the 7:40 mark to the end of the video.
