  1. You're all welcome. It's good to see the place getting regular use now ..... it seemed as though it took forever for it to come together. Zannis commented to me how friendly everyone was to him. He said he'd bring his whole Forza 4 set-up with him next time. He's got the $300 wheel, pedals, cables and software to connect multiple consuls and TV's, etc. Thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Wagner for bringing snacks for us all. The first night we get snow flurries we'll have ourselves a real laser light show, too.
  2. about a dozen people here now ...... we'll be going until prolly 11 or 12, all welcome to join the fun
  3. One of my non-CR friends (that's allowed, isn't it?) is going to stop by later to play Forza 4. His name is Zannis (saw - KNEE). I'm sure you'll make him feel welcome. He is from Greece. He's biked with me to Home Depot a few times.
  4. I will have it open at 8 p.m. Sean, you and Erica should hit Nova before you stop by.
  5. I think everyone had a good time Friday night, and Chris got his gaskets installed. I think we've got the strategy mastered for the Brickyard Course on Forza 4 :lolguy: And in case anyone needs pointers on how to drive an SSC Ultimate Aero on the wall, Nicole (Mrs. Major Payne) is the one to ask. If anyone wants to meet up for games/movies, I can open the place up again tonight (Saturday). I can make some restaurant suggestions if there's interest in eating earlier in the evening and then heading to the hangout later. Please post to this thread if you plan on coming out so we can figure out times. I don't plan to open things up next weekend since it's the CR Anniversary gala at QSL.
  6. I'll be out of town Saturday morning, but if you need it in the afternoon, let me know--you can use it then.
  7. I turned up the heat so the garage should be plenty warm when you get here. Come in the front door and get me to open up the back overhead door for you.
  8. okey dokey. I'll have it open by 8:30. If anyone's coming by later, text me to make sure I'm still there. 740-405-5565 320 London Road Delaware
  9. Feel free to switch it next time you come by.
  10. The hangout is available for anyone who wants to get together. It's gonna be too cold for me to stand around a parking lot at 11 p.m. :fuuuu: Lighting is improved now, and I have my own copy of Forza 4 and four operating controllers. Also, if you need a warm place to do any engine work, the bay will be open and the heat on. Also open if you just wanna watch a movie. You're welcome to bring your own fast food if you haven't eaten yet. We could order a pizza if you want. (Note that the first eleven posts to this thread refer to Friday's meetup, not tonight)
  11. I believe Thorne has done this a few years as well. You may want to also ask him.
  12. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/9.jpg I've got one they can borrow, but I don't want The Stig driving it.
  13. Very impressive. Fast and without any drama.

  15. Fantastic sculpture. What is the basic material he used, and what is the process?
  16. But I can only afford one new vehicle. What to do? Thank God for Ebay and a little Amerkin ingenuity : http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/KGrHqVhcE5p24e5QyBOl6kQLUw60_3.jpg "This 1988 Town Car 7-passenger “75” limo was put on a stretched 1988 F150 truck frame, then lifted, and had the roof cut off to make a Monster Convertable Limo Truck." http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/KGrHqUOKjsE6Rhsh1hzBOl6krqg60_3.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/KGrHqZjgE52ObdGBOl6kgbLL60_3.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/KGrHqVmEE6DpJChMBOl6kjmOtw60_3.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/KGrHqFjcE6EJdB0WkBOl6kh7nRg60_3.jpg "There is an issue with the transmission kick down. It has been explained to me that the Town Car has a electronic kick down shifter and the truck has a manuel one. This confuses the transmission and it will not go into 3rd gear or overdrive. For this reason it cannot be driven on the highway and has to be trailered back." Although not being able to shift above 2nd gear would not be convenient, thankfully the lighting in the decanter area works flawlessly: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/KGrHqNl0E6CBYh3GBOl6klNRw60_3.jpg http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Monster-Limo-Truck-SUV-Limo-Convertible-4x4-Coach-Lincoln-Limousine-Hot-Rod-/300610224004?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item45fdc3ff84 Or, if you don't directly access the link, just search for Monster, Limo, Truck, Convertable, making sure to misspell "Convertable"
  17. 4G, 5 bars here in Delaware right now. I did have limited service for about two hours last Wednesday, though. I've had great service overall from them, even when on the road in fairly rural areas.
  18. Forza 4 was worthy of all the hype. If you need to store that disk in my player, feel free to do so. I'll check it from time to time to make sure it's okay. Can four drivers play simultaneously? Thanks for bringing the game, and thanks to you, Rally Pat, and Benner for getting everything set-up correctly.
  19. Thanks to all who attended. If you missed it, you missed some good laughs. Twenty CR members visited during the 4.5 hour time we were running. Three surprises for me: I was shocked at how little pizza was consumed. Also, I had put the movie on just to check the TV and was surprised that everyone wanted to watch it clear through. I was also surprised that at least for tonight, there was no interest in foosball. I can see how I need some different lighting. The overheads were too bright and the nightlights too dark. A floorlamp or two should do the trick. Thanks for working the bugs out of the XB360. I can see that another one or two controllers could come in handy. Once we get a few more glitches resolved, things should run smoothly. People offered some great ideas for future gatherings at the hangout, and I appreciate everyone's ideas and support.
  20. I enjoy that route in daylight, but at night along the river, I would caution anyone driving that route to be mindful that the road is filled with deer at this time of year.
  21. Since Cordell diagnosed it and delivered the bad news, I'd say it's his responsibility to assist you through this project's completion.
