  1. Also, the Hangout will be open on Saturday at 9 p.m.
  2. Trish, thanks for setting this up. I only spectated, but it was a blast to watch.
  3. Great job, very creative. I love the puddle of coolant, that's a special touch.
  4. Publicity stunt? Yeah. But I like the spirit of it anyway. Merry Christmas to all and I wish you and your families a happy and prosperous New Year.
  5. The sky that day was the bluest blue. The sun shone more brightly than it ever had. The birds were singing their sweetest song. It was the day the H/FSS Land Speed record fell to the brave little Viewt.
  6. Great. I'll check the expiration dates on the frappuccinos.
  7. Well, the rain seems to be washing the salt from the roads, and there's a wet and warm forecast for the weekend. We'll open the Hangout tonight at 9 to accommodate those who are weary from the stress of the season. If you're interested in meeting somewhere for dinner earlier in the evening, feel free to post the discussion to this thread as well. The Hangout: Howald Industrial Park 320 London Road, Suite 101 (in Building 100) Delaware, Ohio It's the first building as you come down the drive--the holiday lights mark the spot. Questions/problems: Text me at 740-405-5565. All CR members are welcome!
  8. According to the article, THREE Germain dealerships, Ricart Ford, and MAG.
  9. I'll check now and get back to you by later this afternoon.
  10. Does it need to be stored indoors? If not, I can check if I can have it outside at the Hangout. I believe I'm paying for outdoor space next to my overhead door. If that's the case, you can keep it there for free with no obligation to loan it out. I can't guarantee its safety, so I'd suggest you keep good insurance on it and take steps to deter theft (e.g., receiver lock). However, the transmission shop keeps customer cars there and haven't had anything more serious than gasoline theft.
  11. Where are you getting that price information? You can get any of the Range Rover HSE's (sport or non-sport) for under $100,000, 2013 or 2014. The only exception I could find was a 2014 supercharged with the autobiography package (extra 36k).
  12. Am I missing a posted time for this event?
  13. Hmmm, I'm having a hard time coming up with a NEW model from an established, major manufacturer that is both unorthodox but also cool enough to admire in a quirky way. There are plenty of them from the small companies, though. I agree with the Tesla choice. Also, coming in six months is the Range Rover Evoque Convertible. Two doors, ragtop SUV, possibly coming with AWD and the Terrain Response System of the non-convertible Evoque. Rumor has it that a 9-speed automatic transmission is being considered. About the closest thing to this now is the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet, but I don't consider that an off-road vehicle. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/2015_land-rover_range-rover-evoque-convertible_convertible-suv_base_rq_oem_1_500_zps854ca697.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/2015_land-rover_range-rover-evoque-convertible_convertible-suv_base_i_oem_1_500_zps33ee4089.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/2015_land-rover_range-rover-evoque-convertible_convertible-suv_base_fq_oem_1_500_zpse1b5058a.jpg I admit, it's a guilty pleasure for me.
  14. It's a lot like this: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114968
  15. Your car made it into the calendar. Yeah, I can send you one of the used calendars at the end of this month. PM me your address.
  16. Because you couldn't come to visit me there. (It's in the prison behind the sheriff's department on Island Road.)
  17. Your truck looks great in December. I've got the calendar proudly displayed at the Hangout as well as in my office in Circleville. I've also got a brand new, never used calendar which you can have. PM me to arrange pickup at your convenience if you're around Columbus. I can also mail it to you.
  18. The last guests left the Hangout about 2:45. Thanks everyone for turning out on such a bad weather night. I guess we had about 30 or so guests. I'm sorry I couldn't spend more time showing the new folks around, but I really enjoyed the time I got to spend giving some of you "the tour" of the place. I hope you find your way back on some of our regular Friday and Saturday night gatherings. Thanks to Tina for the food, coffee, milk and eggnogs. Your peanut butter fudge and Rice Krispie treats were a big hit. And of course, thanks to the Admins on CR for your work planning the dinner at QSL and for the idea to have an after party at the Hangout. It sounds like you've planned for CR to have a big year in 2014.
  19. I just came from the Hangout. The rooms are all toasty. Please be careful walking in from the parking lot. Right now it's all slushy, but I imagine that it will be icy later tonight. For those new to the Hangout, it's at 320 London Road, Delaware, in the Howald Industrial Park. It is in the first building as you come in the drive (Building 100). You'll see the cars and the Christmas lights as you pull in the drive, so you can't miss it. Please knock the snow/ice from your shoes as you come in the office (some people sit on the floor and prefer it to be dry, imagine that). I look forward to seeing you there in a few hours! Doors open at 9 p.m. and close at 2 a.m.
  20. Someone who can impersonate a pop singer well = impressive Someone 16 who can do it = remarkable Someone 16 who can do it in language not native to them = mind blown
  21. I would have thought that he would have come back somewhere in the South
  22. Snow is forecast Friday night and Saturday. You're still welcome to come out, but it probably won't make sense to wash it all off just to pack it back on while you drive home. I cleaned two cars today which were hideous with caked salt. Free tomorrow early, or Sunday?
  23. If any of you can't make it to dinner at QSL, you're still welcome at the Hangout. It will open around 9 p.m. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided as usual, plus Tina is planning to bring some special desserts and drinks. There's snow in the forecast for Saturday. If there is accumulation you're welcome to practice your safe skid recovery in the large east lot, away from the parked cars next to the Hangout.
  24. Is there a particular costume you wear for this routine? :gabe:
