  1. Well, I've moved out of north central Ohio and after weeks of moving my household and office, I've really gotten tired of hauling stuff. Just this weekend I found out from my landlord (at the Industrial Park where the Hangout is) that he needs my space two weeks sooner than he thought. This has put me in the bind of having to move too much stuff into too little space. So, I've decided to give as much away as I can to anyone who will show up to pick it up. Location: Suite 104, Howald Industrial Park, 320 London Rd., Delaware When: This Friday (May 31) and Saturday (June 1) afternoon hours by appointment. PM me to arrange time. All items are FREE Most are in very good condition although a few are dusty Here is the link to photo album of what is described below: https://photos.app.goo.gl/EUEa4sU1shfZ1SH56 Four motorcycle helmets, all XL, all worn with headsock or do-rag. Nolan has integral sun visor and is the nicest of the group. Fulmer, Zox, HJC (older). RCI roadrace helmet. XL Five XL motorcycle jackets, various makes, two are mesh, all have armor pads. One jacket is heated. Twin gumball vending machine on stand. Griot's random orbital polishers with polishing pads, various polishes and sealants, clay bar. Three sets of motorcycle gloves, various biker accessories including fix-a-flat pack. Set of Bag End loudspeakers with (about 5') stands and 15' cables. Can be powered with 100 watts. Pyle receiver with bluetooth. Craftsman 3 ton hydraulic floor jack, pair of jack stands, creeper. Blue upholstered armchair. Blue sofa with extra set of cushions. Assorted halogen floor lights, one on a stand. Airport barriers. 3 Plastic chairs 6 upholstered folding chairs (nice) Questions/to reserve a pick-up time ----> post to thread or PM me UPDATES Brad: gumball machine, blue upholstered chair if you want it Nick B: RCI helmet Tim: 9 folding chairs/Griot's random orbital/Griot's supplies Brian: floor jack and stands Ryan (Green Bastard): 3 XL helmets remain, jackets are all gone Josh: sorry, all jackets are gone Pickup times: this Friday 10-2, Saturday noon -3 pm Please note: Use care approaching the building as sealant is scheduled to be applied to the drive on the west side of my building Friday and Saturday. I have been told that a narrow lane to my door at #104 will be left untreated, but use your judgement. We can take your items out through the front door of Building #100 if you prefer and you can park there (in front of my old office). Sorry, but I can't arrange other pick up times as I no longer live in Delaware. Still available: road barriers, sofa, assorted motorcycle equipment, a few helmets
  2. No. Rob & Austin, info passed on. Many thanks.
  3. Thanks, Rob & Mace. Brian, I'm assuming that you're correct and that the engine was swapped.
  4. I have a friend who has been spending much of the last few years out of state and how now returned and is motivated to get a car finished. Any assistance, advice, and recommendations for a mechanic or shop would be appreciated. The car is a 1992 Integra b18c type r that has been rebuilt to a 12.5:1 compression and is naturally aspirated. It's a clean rebuild with neat wiring. Eric at Crucial Performance has put a base tune in the car to get it running. However, there are many issues that need to be sorted out. The car's owner has a limited knowledge of auto electronics and is not confident he can remedy the current problems. These include the following: Air intake temp sensor not working. A new one was installed and that did not fix the issue. Another new one is in hand. Idle air control motor is not working. Throttle blade is sticking. It is a new 90 mm skuck II throttle body. Radiator fan is not working. Tach output wire needs to be added from the EMS to the tach. AEM EPM module and AEM wideband have connection issues. I realize that most good mechanics are reluctant to get involved in someone else's build, but the owner is interested in completing this project right and is willing to pay reasonable rates for the help. Thanks!
  5. I've had very good experience with A/C issues with Northend Wrench. Their lead mechanic, Sean, is a member here (Crossle). They've done the freon conversion on a few of my cars, and on older, JDM cars such work is often problematic. It's been no problem if a car had to go back to Northend if anything wasn't completely right.
  6. Brian's the expert on this stuff. He and Carrie just did a miracle on my landscaping and his expertise saved me a boatload of money and work. Thanks again, Brian. I owe you one.
  7. I'm with Scott and Rick -- don't worry about the refunds, we can sort that out after the storm has passed.

    Anthony

You, Anthony, Tina and your families are in our thoughts.
  9. I hope to resume all my regular CC&C and CR activities once I'm settled. Instead of being 30 mins from Lennox, I'll be about 60 mins out. The good news is that I'll be closer than before to the Dayton and Springfield meets. I appreciate the offer to help move. As it is, I think I have the Delaware to Frankfort transition covered with professional movers. I might take you up on your offer to help with one trip from the Hangout to temporary storage in Waldo if you're available. That move will come later in May.
  10. I contacted Outside the Box movers but they had no openings for a month. That speaks to how popular they are. I plan to go with a local Delaware outfit, Julie's Movers. Julie came herself to talk with me, surveyed the stuff and gave me what I thought was a very fair estimate. She will be there both days of the move and is bringing a packer and three movers. Many of my neighbors have used her and seem satisfied. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks for all the input.
  11. Thanks, Jerrod. I see that company's trucks on the road a lot and considered calling them. They're off the list now.
  12. That's nice of you to say, Paul. But I'm trying to avoid using my friends for free labor. When I owned a pickup, it seemed as though every weekend a long-lost friend was trying to rekindle the friendship, and, BTW, they were moving soon and could I loan them my truck? That said, if any CR member is unemployed or under-employed and wants to spend some time hauling stuff and making some cash, feel free to PM me. The total move will be happening over a period of a few weeks, with just one or two big moving days, so I can be flexible on the small hauls.
  13. After 29 years in the same spot, I've accumulated some stuff. :dumb: Now I need to move it from Delaware, Ohio to my new house in the village of Frankfort, about 40 miles south of Columbus. I'm shooting for a move date the first week of May. I wouldn't mind a company that supplies packers and boxes, but I can also work separately with someone just to haul the furniture and then hire others to pack and unpack boxes. Any suggestions/recommendations will be appreciated. I'm trying not to spend a fortune, but I realize that I won't get quality work for low-ball prices.
  14. It's looking great, Rob. I hope to make it to your open house.
  15. Is it the landau? Leather or cloth interior? This was the last of Chyrsler's luxury K cars, which I thought were underrated. I owned an earlier year New Yorker which I regret selling. Considering the body work/service/tires which will likely be needed, I think you're about right on the price. GLWS.
  16. Not all BRZ/FRS/GT86 's get beat at the stoplight by Odysseys. And I'd only drive one as a daily if I wanted my days to be a lot more exciting. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/GT86_LR-27_zpsk9tetpzb.jpg I'd sell mine to someone from CR for not much more than the OP's initial range. PM me if you're interested, Mike, and we can talk.
  17. A thread from nearly a decade ago, but it might still make for fun reading and perhaps help us all keep perspective: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77147
  18. The different definitions of "supercar" referenced in this thread just didn't jive with my idea of the word. My definition is more emotional, relative, and self-centered: A supercar is, when it is new and unmodified, both: a: a car I can't afford b: a car which is faster than any car I own That said, I guess I'm going to disagree with nearly everybody, but that's okay.
  19. I had a difficult order to fill but Jordan located the vehicle I needed within a day and delivered it in less than a week with a very simple, straightforward transaction. Highly recommend.
  20. I'll be there with a great-nephew in tow.
  21. I'm going to try to thin the herd a little. Trying to buy a property with garages for a dozen cars is impractical on the budget I have. Besides, keeping them all clean and serviced becomes almost a part-time job for an old man. I'm still planning track days, select car shows, CC&C, and of course the Rally North America events. Mexico isn't out of the question (I'm not dead yet).
  22. Thanks, Paul. This should be a good series .... IIRC it's six episodes. They concentrated on four or five teams to follow throughout the rally because it should be more interesting to the TV viewers that way. I wasn't one chosen but I might make an appearance or two in some non-speaking, background sort of way. I'm in Car #1, Black Mercedes CL600 I'm falling behind in posting rally photos but will try to get a thread up this weekend on the July 2018 Rally that was the basis of this TV show. For people missing tonight's show, it will be repeated a half dozen times in the next few months.
  23. I've had good experiences with Pickups Plus in Lewis Center. They're not cheap, but they've been very careful with the work and it was done right the first time. Justin or Kyle should be able to hook you up.
  24. Thanks for all the kind words. The long-winded story in the first few posts is finally complete. I'll try to get the summer 2018 Rally North America thread (Colorado, Utah, Nevada) up in the next couple of weeks.
