  1. It's an XB360. How about we figure on gaming early and then a movie after Scott arrives after 10? I've got all the F&F in blu-ray, plus Gone in 60 Seconds, but I'd say bring your movies and then determine what the majority want to see. There's of course just hanging out, piddling around in the garage, and foosball for those who don't want to watch a movie. Non-alcoholic drinks are provided (you don't need to ask, just help yourselves). Nova at 7 - 7:30 is good for me. I'll need to know a total for the reservation. If you don't post here and let me know you're coming, you're on your own trying to get seating at the restaurant. We'll figure the hangout doors will open at 8:30. NOVA: 5 N. Sandusky Street, Delaware, OH ($10-$15 meals)
  2. I can give you a doctor's excuse ....... would that help?
  3. Well, not exactly a party, but the place will be open for your use at 8:30 p.m. The hangout needs to close by 2 a.m. because I've got to meet early Saturday to transfer the truck to the new owner. A group will be meeting at Nova for seating at 7 pm or slightly later if you can't make it at 7. Nova is at 5 N. Sandusky Street in scenic downtown Delaware. Dinners run $10-$15, sandwiches slightly less. You must post to this thread if you want to eat with the group at NOVA. Although it's casual, it's not easy for them to pull up more chairs to accomodate extra diners. Heated garage will be open for your use if you want. Please post if you need that so that I can have it ready for you. Wipe your feet twice before re-entering the office please (people lay on the floor sometimes, and they don't want to do that on your dirty footprints!) Bring MW3 if you have it. I now have 4 fully operational controllers for your gaming pleasure. But if you have a fave, bring your own. Bring a favorite DVD or blu-ray and if the gamers will give up the TV, we'll figure on choosing a movie after 10 or 10:30. Address: 320 London Road, Delaware, 43015 (The Howald Industrial Park) Come in the front door of Building 100. Call me if you can't find the place. 740-405-5565
  4. Scott's being modest here. He's helped quite a number of us on car repairs in his spare time and never wants a penny for it. It says something that there is someone who works on cars all day and then doesn't hesitate to spend his evening/weekend working on somebody else's car (usually under crummy conditions and with inadequate tools) because they can't do it themselves, can't afford to take it to a shop, or just plain want Scott doing the work. There aren't many people willing to do that. CR's got more than our fair share and I'm thankful for that. Thanks, Scott!
  5. Look on the bright side: it's less than a year now. :dumb:
  6. Trying to get at least half-way there would be a good start. Just sayin' ......
  7. A really great time, and it worked out fine having it at QSL. Thanks to the organizers for their hard work.
  8. Closing it up now. Sorry, didn't check the thread earlier. I believe we had 23 members here at one time, perhaps a few more total with the people arriving/leaving. Hope everyone enjoyed it.
  9. For those who didn't get enough fellowship at the Anniversary Dinner at QSL, the afterparty is at the hangout at 320 London Road, Delaware. All welcome. Please, no alcohol.
  10. You might go to hell for that, you know. :gtfo:
  11. :funny: Had to smile at the comments, which I think are right on point.
  12. Pretty impressive, Mark. Congrats!
  13. Not a CR member, but he gave a number of handmade pens to CR members: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87827 I've continued to buy pens from him ..... I think I have over a hundred now. His craftsmanship just gets better and better. And some of the pens are under $20. :megusta: Tell him you're from Columbus Racing and I'm sure you'll get a discount.
  14. I apologize to those who indicated interest through CR, but the truck sold today. I hadn't advertised it, but someone in the Industrial Park where my shop is had heard it was for sale and arranged the purchase to a third party, sight unseen, for cash. Guess maybe I was a bit low on the price. :dumb: Lock 'er up, mods.
  15. MANY thanks for the correction. I was sure I had the longer bed. In fact, one of the main reasons I went with the double cab rather than the Crew Max was because the Crew Max only had the short bed. If I had advertised it as the long bed, that would have been problems for sure. Again, thanks for pointing that out.
  16. I remember once seeing a full color photo of the entire universe. It was at the Smithsonian. IIRC, it had Tim's watermark in the corner.
  17. It's not the economy king of trucks, that's for sure. It's always gotten 16-19 mpg for me, but then, I never used it just around town. It's a big truck, with a powerful motor and a major towing capacity ...... hard to get good economy along with those things at this price point. On the plus side, it's happiest on regular gas, which right now is about 60-70 cents cheaper per gallon than diesel fuel. When you do the math, it narrows the gap considerably.
  18. I'm doubting that CR is the best place to sell this, but I'm going to offer it here before I put the extra effort into taking a bunch of photos and putting in on eBay and AutoTrader: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Pict0041-2.jpg 2008 Toyota Tundra Double Cab (seats 6), 6.5 ft bed, 4WD, 5.7 (381HP, 401ft/lb), 6 speed automatic, auto LSD, Tundra Grade interior (cloth), 18" steel wheels, Tow Package (10,300 lb towing capacity with upgraded transmission cooler and alternator, trailer hitch, trailer brake controller, etc.), Cold Kit (heavy duty battery, heavy duty starter, windshield wiper de-icer with timer), factory bed liner, backup camera, extendable trailer side mirrors. Pickups Plus installed a high performance intake, Lear Cap with insulation, integrated locking system, electrical outlets, lighting, sliding/removable windows with screens, clothes hangers which swing down from the roof of the cap, chrome grill, chrome lowers, two-stage fog lights (fog beam or halo), chrome handles all around. I think anyone who's seen this truck knows what condition it's in. I bought it new and planned on it being used for camping/motorcycle trailering when I retired. But instead, it inhabits a corner of my shop and doesn't get out much. Driven at least once a month. The 15,000 miles are nearly all from trips to SC, towing a 800 lbs motorcycle trailer. It's never had anything heavier than that hooked to it. This pulls like a big truck, but has a great, car-like ride. No service issues or problems ever. Just had oil changes and tire rotations. It'll be 24,999 on Auto Trader and eBay. CR price is 23k. I will work with you if you're financing it through a credit union or bank. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/Tundrawindowsticker.jpg
  19. I don't have a watermark, but it's mine .... http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/3.jpg
  20. I would just keep the big ones on the back and the skinny ones on the front. I don't think the left/right would make any difference. Just sayin' ......
  21. The first two photos are Shon (PDQwagon). I was very impressed. He had a 1.49 60' running against me. Not sure what his best numbers were for the day. Pleasure to meet you, Shon. Considering I wasn't very well prepared, I still had a fun day. I always learn useful things hanging around Jim (Clone).
  22. Chances are I'll come out, but can't arrive until after 1 p.m. I'll look for you guys, but in case I don't know you/your car, then feel free to flag me down. A big black Bentley is easy to spot at NTR.
  23. I don't know any salesmen in that area, but PM Nick (Fiji Mazda3) http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/member.php?u=2345 He used to work in VW sales at MAG and prolly knows who to send you to for pre-owned Saabs.
  24. Another year and you'll want to make the father/son matches happen over a chess board and not on the carpet. Spencer's not the scrawny kid I remember meeting just a few years ago at my garage. You've raised a fine son, Eli.
