  1. Actually the rental is probably relatively cheap, might even be doing it for free. Find a traditionally dead weekend for the reservation. No safety crews, no insurance, no timing gear, etc... Free publicity for the track. Not to mention a much more scenic venue for the show than a Walmart parking lot.
  2. I should make this one. Then off to Dyno Brian's.
  3. Fireside photography - firesidephoto83@aol.com Todd is a great guy. If you're on facebook he has a lot of his work posted. He is located in Hilliard.
  4. Cool. You're not going to convince me, I'm not going to convince you. Each of us is right in our own mind.
  5. I love how I get asked my opinion and then get attacked for giving it. In answer to your question young jedi ... no, we should not make it legal to drive drunk in a thunderstorm with no headlights/tail lights/windshield wipers. This would put others in danger as well as ourselves. Whether I ride a motorcycle with out without a helmet I am really only endangering myself. It is very rare to hear about an accident involving a motorcycle and anyone other than the motorcyclist is hurt. Wearing a helmet does not automatically make riding a safe past time. Riders are still killed, maimed, paralyzed, etc... when they are wearing a helmet. Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely, in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting “Holy shit, what a ride!” ~ Mavis Leyrer
  6. You are as much entitled to you opinion as I am to mine. As long as it is not law I will do as I please. By your argument we may as well outlaw motorcycles all together because riding (with or without a helmet) is a dangerous activity. For that matter why not outlaw all dangerous or unhealthy activities so our insurance rates will drop even further and eventually everyone will die of nothing.
  7. Do you currently wear a helmet? Running at the track with the Camaro - Yes On the road with the Harley - No Why do you choose or choose not to wear a helmet? I don't like it. I know it's stupid, but I defend others rights to be stupid and the only person I will kill will be me by not wearing it. I have no logical excuse for why I don't. It has nothing to do with weight or visibility, I just enjoy riding without it more than with. If you do not, under what conditions would you? (law, close call, witness an accident etc.) If made a law I would probably wear a beanie helmet to be legal and not get hassled. I do wear a helmet when riding in bad weather or cold weather. If I get freaked out enough that I need a helmet, I'll probably quit riding all together. What do you like or dislike about wearing a helmet? (size issues, weight etc.) It's hard to put into words. To me a lot of the feeling of freedom is lost behind a helmet. Typically I wear a bandanna to keep from sunburning my head and riding glasses to keep my eyes clear of dust, bugs, etc... If a helmet could offer a better experience/persona/vision technology, what would that technology be and would you be interested in wearing this helmet? I suppose the experience is the best way to describe why I don't wear a helmet. If you can provide that feeling while still wearing a helmet, then I might consider it. For the record, I am well educated and I understand the risks I am taking by not wearing a helmet. Riding a motorcycle is not a safe activity to begin with. Those who choose to wear a helmet have my respect. Those who choose to not wear a helmet are making a choice just like me. It is my right to exercise similar to carrying a concealed weapon. I also disagree with the law that requires drivers and front seat passengers to wear seat belts. While I think it is a smart move I disagree with legislating intelligence. This is my opinion, there are many like it, but this one is mine.
  8. http://www.thelantern.com/campus/zombies-humans-wage-war-on-campus-1.1484770 Not airsoft ... nerf guns and tennis balls in socks work best against pretend zombies.
  9. Good information. I did not know they changed the policy.
  10. If you get locked out of the class you should still be able to get into one. Look at the schedule, find one you want, show up EARLY. Make sure you are 1 or 2 on the waiting list and cross your fingers. Within a few minutes of the start time they will give away anyone seat who is not there. Just take the paperwork for your class with you to prove you've already paid. This should work unless they have changed anything.
  11. I'm in the market myself. Same questions as above.
  12. It's been a while since I've stayed in the hotels out in Vegas. I've stayed at the Luxor, Rio, NYNY, Excalibur, Stratosphere, and few others. Most all of them are decent. Circus Circus was GREAT .... when I was 12 and it was still relatively new. Rent the Bond flick "Diamonds are Forever". They used Circus Circus for part of the movie. It looks like the Venetian is running a special, the room is a little pricey, but the comps would make up for some of it. http://www.venetian.com/pagesif.aspx?id=5301&CMP=VENGoogleQ22010&ONL004&ef_id=2197:3:s_41bf272dd7a58de215504d61b5b5b2f5_5303012884:S-qsPdBbricAAFxDJ74AAARA:20100524164133
  13. "I want it to be a city that accepts all people no matter where they are from." Apparently that includes people breaking the law. I can't believe there is all this fuss over people who are here illegally. They are breaking the law.
  14. I couldn't put it any better myself.
  15. I guess that explains their super low prices. I never bought much there since they did not carry the high end parts I was looking for. BTW, a UPS will help if your power is not consistent (brown outs, surges, spikes) but be careful the cheap ones. Some will power your system from the house current until the power goes out, then it kicks over to the battery. So you don't get much of a filter. Other units will power the PC directly from the battery at all times, so there is a buffer between the wall current and the PC. That will filter your power. It's been a while since I've dealt with them but if I remember right you are looking for an "in-line" unit.
  16. I have the same box and I love mine. Good luck with the sale.
  17. Looks decent from the trailers. I would prefer a PC version, but will probably get the PS3 version if no PC.
  18. Nothing special here. My first real toy I bought right after my mom passed away was a 2001 Harley Softail. The alphabetic Harley code for the softail standard is FXST. I've just been too lazy to change it over the years.
  19. The Hilliard one is not bad. I hit a couple of them last year.
  20. I had a Compustar on my S10 and loved it. I've been debating on getting one installed on my Impala. I was talking to Gearhead Rob a while back and it sounds like the units he carries and installs are pretty good too. Sorry, don't remember what they are, but if you PM him he can give you the details.
