  1. Looks like a fun little car, good intro. What subject do you teach, which school? I'm the networking instructor at Tolles in Plain City.
  2. Interested in the roll bar, PM sent.
  3. Who can spot the problem here? Gasoline is for cleaning parts. Alcohol is for drinking. Mitromethane is for racing.
  4. Okay, I feel like a real tool now. I happened to be talking with my sister and she set me straight. The doctor I mentioned before (Paulson) was my mothers parkinson doctor, not my father. We did like Paulson as a doctor, but it's a moot point because he retired years ago. This is the guy I hated. http://www.ucomparehealthcare.com/drs/ohio/neurology_child_neurology/Beraducci_Albert.html
  5. Camaro - Yes Impala - No Honda - Not even close
  6. LOL, damn that's funny.:funny:
  7. Sorry to hear that about your wife, it sounds very stressful. Unfortunately I did find out that the doctor we liked at OSU has moved on (I believe to Virginia), but her name was Karen Thomas. Apparently she took the new position shortly before my father passed away, so I didn't even find out about it until tonight. A suggestion that was recommended to me would be to get in touch with Central Ohio Parkinson Society. Every person/family in that organization needs/has a neurologist that they see. There should be recommendations about anyone practicing in the central Ohio area.
  8. I'm glad you had good luck with him, but I'll be honest I wouldn't cross the street to piss on the man if he was on fire. My father had parkinsons, and Paulson was his neurologist. Kept screwing with his meds, hallucinations got out of control, attitude was that should be expected. We finally went to see a neurologist at OSU who said "if those meds aren't working for him, lets not give them to him anymore". I firmly believe we stuck with Paulson too long, and my fathers quality of life suffered. I may be able to track down who we took my father to, but it's been a while.
  9. I agree with most everything said here. Advantages to paying off a house vs. keeping that debt and investing. With some risk you can make more with that money investing than you pay in interest on a mortgage. The biggest thing I am thinking of based on the above scenario is to go find a job, paid, volunteer, whatever. When I get bored it gets expensive. As long as I stay busy I won't be out spending money. If I was off work, nothing to do all day, yeah, saving money would be a bitch.
  10. I picked up an Arsenal AK years ago on a whim. Was a complete impulse purchase, and it's my favorite. Cheap, simple, fun, and reasonably accurate.
  11. You might check the Sears outlet store. I think it's on Cleveland if I remember right. Where they sell all the scratch and dent stuff.
  12. If Ohio is putting money into this kind of tech, then they'll never get rid of front plates.
  13. That's what I was thinking about when I saw the thread. Looks like were headed that direction. Maybe I'll have to break out the DVD and watch the movie again (should I be embarrassed I own that movie?)
  14. Brandon, when you manage to track down the wheels and tires, I'll take the swaybar and driveshaft (if you haven't already sold them).
  15. I figure if I can find online training using simulations that would be my preferred method of learning. More interactive than a book, but less expensive than a class. If it's interactive I'll remember more than if I'm just told something, or just read about it. That being said, a lot of people like books because it's the cheapest form of education.
  16. You might re-think the 94-96 Imp. I picked up mine for $5600. The aftermarket has you covered for parts, and OEM parts are still available. I've been dumping money into mine, but it was a perfectly acceptable car when I bought it. I should end up with about 10k in mine when it is all said and done after the suspension parts, power sunroof, remote start, etc...
  17. I've been thinking about a simple surround system for my family room. That might be a good solution for me.
  18. Does this include speakers? Or is it just the reciever, DVD, and Sub?
  19. The way we regripped a buddy's golf clubs was to use liquid dish soap. Smeared it on the club shaft, and a little inside the grip, then worked the grip into place. Once the dish soap dried it was basically glued in place.
  20. Depends on how you build it ... sky is the limit of course. I figure I can build one for less than 40k if I'm careful with the money and get a discount or two. 20k for the kit, less if I can take advantage of a sale 5 - 10k for a C5 donor, more if it's a Z06 5k for the transaxle 5k for body work/paint If I find a decent donor I can make back some of it selling the parts I don't need, tranny, body, frame, interior, hud, exhaust. Depends on the options afterward as to whether I break 40k, like twin turbos, etc...
  21. If those are the cars in the Factory Five video those are amazing cars. I'm hoping there is someone in central Ohio that has one, or at least in Ohio where I can travel to see one. I've been thinking about it for several months, and I have the guys at school on board to help me with the assembly and body work. I can order the kit at any time, so I figure the unknown factor right now is the donor car. So I'll find the donor first, then order the kit. If I never find an acceptable donor car then at least I won't have the kit sitting around collecting dust. Right now this is all theory until I make the final decision to do this or not. My last step in the decision process is to see one, at least sit in it to find out how it feels and talk to the owner about the build process and their satisfaction with the kits (not to mention any advice they have about the process).

  23. Does anyone have any information on these other than what you can get from the manufacturer? I'd love a chance to talk to someone who has built one or owned one firsthand.
  24. What about forwarding the company email to your personal account? Maybe even create a separate Gmail account to forward work email too. That way you can keep getting business emails and personal emails without connecting to their server.
