  1. Congrats, can't help much in the job search though. +1 on VMware, the advisory committee for my program is pushing it hard. We just bought the parts for a new server (should have been delivered by now) and we'll be building a VMware server once school is back in session.
  2. I thought that is what this thread was all about At least I didn't get them each the Chia Obama.
  3. I bought my GF, my sister, and another friend snuggies. More of a gag gift for the GF because she has said all year long not to get one. I figure the new laptop will smooth things over.
  4. Oh yeah, spindles. I knew there was something missing for that swap. In that case I'll buy the spindles too if you got 'em.
  5. The brakes would be a nice upgrade for my 95 Z28. If no one has taken them I will. I'll have to check what all I need for the upgrade other than calipers and rotors. I'm also looking for some misc parts from the driver door if you are interested in selling those too (window track stuff).
  6. My girlfriend just bought a pair like you are describing at Khols for under $100. They look descent. I don't really care for them because no heel, but that is what you're looking for.
  7. Heck, I don't miss it ... don't much enjoy it either. Some things about being a teacher suck.
  8. Howabout we just switch to flying cars, no more roads.
  9. Here is the intake Performance did for me. Ignore the crappy looking throttle body, that has been replaced by an Arizona Speed and Marine unit. http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq260/01fxst/IMAGE_227.jpg
  10. You're probably thinking of Performance Powder Coating. I have had several pieces done there. Intake, valve covers and strut tower brace. Prices were reasonable considering the work they did (I think $200 for my intake and valve covers). They were recomended to me by Bruce at Skunkworx custom cycles. http://www.myspace.com/performancepowdercoating
  11. I can help out too with these type issues. Sometimes I take stuff like that to school and make my students do the work.
  12. They're probably scoping out your stuff to see if you are worth coming back later to rob.
  13. We had a Jeep Liberty brought into the school because "it wasn't running right". The instructor drove it into the shop so they could do the engine swap. He called me when they got the motor out. 32K without an oil change. The caps holding one of the overhead cams had broken, and the cam was bent. Wish I had pictures.
  14. A friend just bought a 97 Camaro with 5 spoke wheels (not salad shooters). Turns out one of the wheels is bent to hell. Anyone have a replacement sitting around the garage they would be interested in selling?
  15. Spectating sounds fun to me, racing would be a waste of my cash (I need to upgrade my driver among other things).
  16. I lived in Cincinnati for a year and those people are NUTS! Driving into town in morning rush hour traffic was bumper to bumper, moving at 80MPH. I never saw an accident in the morning that involved less than 5 cars.
  17. The articles sound damning, but are taken out of context. Scientists do "tricks" with the data all the time to make a clearer picture of a trend. Global warming isn't going away. Changes happen for reasons. I have not heard any other reasonable explanations for global warming.
  18. Yikes! I don't think I have one, but I'll do some poking around my stash of old stuff and see if maybe there is one hiding there. I'm pretty sure I have a platter from one if that is what you are looking for.
  19. I don't think being in a crappy part of town will keep business away. Gun stores and shooting ranges are destination types of businesses. People will travel to where the business is. I would imagine a very small percentage is impulse business.
  20. Check brake lines for rust or dry rot? Would suck to get it moving then wreck it because the brakes failed.
  21. I'm surprised after all that time he would not have gone insane.
  22. Get back to your TPS reports. And, um, yeeaaah, we're gonna need you to come in on saturday.
  23. In before this thread sucks .... ooops, too late.
